alrighty, am I to assume that this will replace IE6 on my Machine? I figure it will, and probably won't install it here at work, *shouldn't do that anyway*, but who knows. I was kind of hoping it would work as it's own separate program rather than replace what I've got.

If it does replace it, is there an uninstall that will get it back to normal?

yes it does replace IE6...

when i installed it created a restore point...which i assume will "uninstall" it if you need to

yea uninstall works fine just click show updates and it will show up...

In the Advanced tab of the options, none of the radio buttons work properly. Well they do work, but they all appear blank.

Another bug is that the RSS reader is useless. It would be only useful on websites which only have an RSS feed and not a full website. And I'm not sure there are many.

Also, if there is only one tab left, you can't close it. You should be able to click close and the website will dissapear and be replaced with about:blank.

Actually, there is an easier way to use IE7beta on Spanish (or other non-English) systems than the one someone posted a while ago.

It involves editing update.inf in the update folder.

1) Save a spare copy of update.inf

2) Edit the original update.inf

Locate: LanguageType = %LangTypeValue%

Replace with: LanguageType = ES

3) Save the file.

4) Begin install by running update.exe

5) When the splash screen appears and before clicking Next, overwrite update.inf with the original file you saved in another folder.

6) Install

(Note: replace ES with your regional code, for example FR for France and so on)

This worked for me. Well I'm glad to see that all my sites look OK in the new IE, but I wonder if there have been any actual changes in the IE7 engine or not. Try to open an FTP site - it will open a new IE6 window!!!

Apart from that, changing between tabs is blazing fast, it starts faster than Firefox and, even though it looks a bit funny, you get used to it. Not a single crash since install.

refresh and stop buttons did NOT dissapear. They are at the end of the address bar :p between address bar and search bar

a "bug" that annoyes me is that i can not hide the ugly button that opens new tabs :p and how the hell do i close tabs with keyboard? ctrl+f4 doesn't work

CTRL + W closes the tab...but faster is to:

middle click on the tab and it will close...

or right click the tab and choose close tab :D

Used it for 20 minutes, feels good, GUI needs changing, though not bad IMHO, don't see a refresh button also I noticed that my ghost surf vault stopped working, but feels faster than v6 I.E.

The Phishing module seems to be active, though with this in mind would nice that a little mouse over alert would tell me what I should expect.
