Hellgod
ie7 installed ok, everything works, but to fix the crashing trillian 3.1 pro, REMOVE not disable the MSN plugin, and it will stop. msn sucks anyhow. BTW: you can get around that ginuwine program advantage thing by disabling the nic before you install it.
GaMeDtX
honestly, ie7 looks like crap, u cant move the "file | edit | view....." menu to the top like normal windows, it looks all disorginized, like a dev SLAPPED it tougether...

JHawkZZ
Installed IE7, seems good, but two questions. 1. Trillian crashes, and yes you can fix it by removing the msn.dll plugin, but does anyone know of a way to get the MSN plugin to work with Trillian and IE7? 2. Is there no RSS Feed browser? Do I seriously have to click on each one as if it were a favorite? If so, why do that when I can just go to the actual website? Thanks!
priestx
I'd like to start a topic about the bugs/suggestions people should have for the new IE7. To begin with, the Refresh and Stop buttons have dissappeared, and skin for IE7 has pretty much dissappeared. Continue... -it causes trillian to crash unless you remove the msn plugin. -View Source sometimes doesn't process an "enter" key, making it blocks. -Middle click/Drag still isn't skinned nicely. LUTZIFER
New icon: :) 586284187 Hmmm, I just went and checked, cuz I didn't notice a new icon at the top of my Start Menu, is still the same ol IE icon, but then looked in the All Programs menu, and yeah, there is a new icon there. Is your Start Menu showing the new icon? If so, how would I go about changing mine?
Hellgod
as been stated it causes trillian to crash unless you remove the msn plugin.. other than that i have not noticed anthing else, but i only been using it a hour.

priestx
it's more of a suggestion box, with bugs(or qwuirks) from other people.
LUTZIFER
But once again it is Beta 1, it is supposed to have glitches here and there... So that they can fix them later, by final release. 586284005 lol! no, it's not 'supposed' to have glitches, but that can happen. JHawkZZ
Start Menu Properties->Customize->UnCheck "Internet" Then go Start Menu->Programs->Internet Explorer, right click on it, choose Pin to Start Menu. Essentially replace the shell shortcut to IE with your own. Now what about an RSS Browser and Trillian MSN support!? :)
priestx
Bug: Edit Source in Notepad makes "enter" marks blocks.

f0rbez
I can't get it installed. :( When I try, it checks for validation and makes the backups. But then it fails telling me that the catalogs weren't able to be copied. If anyone knows whats wrong please help me out.
Zeitgeist
It's alright. The Links toolbar is flaky with width/spaces. It seems a lot faster with rendering and the new addon management is better, I hope there is some nice addons that come out (adblocking, etc.) I'm glad you can now middle-click to open a new window (or tab) but I disabled the tabs, they seem so ugly. I disabled the phishing filter too, seems kind of pointless unless you're an idiot. Edited July 28, 2005 by Zeitgeist
TimRogers
The installer has worked great for me! Though, I told it not to restart and it still restarted! And that means my Beta 1 got cut off :(

Ima little hurt in my feelings because Im discriminating against my English. Width that sayd. IE7 does not ave download manager, but ... A. it ave "Phishing Filter" for more of the security. B. it ave "Tabbed Browsing" wich can be a turn on or turned off. G. It is faster than me, and you too. Fin.
trek
can you speak english and repost (or edit) so we can understand you? 586284567 I don't know why he'd spend the effort making his post 1337.. it's much easier typing regular english... rofl. I have way too much time on my hands... I should be sleeping... but as best as I could discern, this is what he said: Okay, Okay, listen to me now. Err...If you can't get IE7 to work then you have a broken file. There are a few reasons for this: 1. Your IE7 setup file is corrupt. 2. You have an illegal copy of Windows, and were too dumb to change the product key when you installed it. Or you can make a new key now, but you have to do that before you install Internet Explorer 7. But I am not going to tell you how to do that. or 3. :ph3ar: There. That should explain why you are not able to run IE7. Other than that, it's Stable. Plus you have anti-phishing mode for bad websites. Good, Fast, but still has a little buggy interface On a scale of 1 to 10, I give IE7 a J. I still run it. It is nice.
