I have a library of about 100 games on steam.. but until yesterday I didn't have unlimited internet.. so was very careful as to what was being downloaded.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (PC/PS3/X360) - The first hack and slash game to the Metal Gear series. Taking the beating heart out of the Senator final boss in the hardest difficulty still feels bloody satisfying to me!!!

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (PSP) - Still trying to S-Rank all the missions here. Over 120 hours of playtime and counting...

Double Dragon Neon (PC/PS3/X360) - Remake of the first Double Dragon game. Good beat 'em up game that gives you the 80s vibes.

Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition (PC/PS3/X360) - Still the best 2D fighting game of this generation.

Street Fighter X Megaman (PC) - Free game downloadable from Capcom's site. A Megaman game which features several known characters in Street Fighter series as its bosses. The game has the classic Megaman feel which I really liked a lot.

I've been replaying Dark Souls for the millionth time simply because I can't wait for Dark Souls 2 and I need it. I've platinum'd the game on the 360 and PC, and I will probably look for a cheap PS3 copy to do it again. Once Dark Souls 2 comes out, my life is going to disintegrate.

Mainly been playing Fifa 14. I have only 2 other games  (Ghosts and BF4) which I have finished so Fifa is keeping me going. Finally managed to get golden boot playing for Burton Albion which made me a happy boy. Just got to win next match for promotion to Championship.

Also Titanfall. Played mainly domination but gave the titans only game ago and just got whooped. Not much fun when the teams are 4 vs 6. Things were heading south rather quickly :( .

Kingdoms of Amalur

Probably by 5th attempt at trying to get through it. I don't know why i stop as i really enjoy the game. I do get lost in all the mythology though.

Great colourful graphics. Good audio and voices. The battle system is easy and fun to pick up.

Strider

Started this yesterday. Really enjoying it so far. Even made a thread about it! i never make threads.

Graphics are great. The soundtrack is hit and miss. Controls are tight for what you expect from Strider.

So glad it went Metroidvania as i just love those games. Next to racing, i'd say it is my favourite genre.

Project Cars

Finally got my wheel sorted for it.

I really love this game. The cars feel real and each car drives completely different.

I was nailing brands hatch in this Lotus 78 Turbo. So i moved up to a Formula A and it completely kicked my a**

I tried a RUF (Porsche) and just the real car. It has epic amounts of grip.

Cant wait for this. really wish Id bought into it before they shut down the early access.

Borderlands 2.  Got it from PS+, but had to plow through a bunch of other games first.  Finished the story last night with my L 32 Commando, and used moonshot farming to level a siren to 12.

Anyone wanna help me powerlevel my other two characters to get them high enough for the platinum? (need assassin and gunzerker to L 25 to unlock skill sets needed for trophies)

Actually I am playing the Assassins Creed Series, 1, 2, Brotherhood and Revelations, at least Assassins Creed III.

I really like the gaming concept, of climbing and running around in ancient city?s and places, was still fun and quite a surprise that AC III rocked more than the other ones. Now Black Flag must be a good one to, loved the sailing missions on AC III, I am curios how much fun Black Flag might be.

Great series, like the Gothic Series, even if one can not compare these games :-)

You and me both.

I'm currently playing Rayman Legends PS4, and it has to be one of the most polished games I've played. Probably the best 2D platformer you can buy right now and for the foreseeable future.

Also started working through the Tomb Raider Trilogy on the PS3, but I feel that will get shelved soon. Have already had a craving to jump to Way of the Samurai 3. I played the heck out of 4, and then struggled a little to play 3 as 4 has many improvements. I feel I've simply played them out of order. Awesomely fun and crazy path branching JRPG action games. Nothing else really like them and definitely a nod to some of the creativity devs experimented with in the PS2 days - Before everything had to try and be all serious with no fun.

  • 3 months later...

I'm bringing back this topic as a feature for the Gamers' Hangout, similar to 'What are you listening to?', 'What are you reading right now?' and 'What was the last movie you watched?'.

Feel free to a share a quick line about games you're currently playing, recommend or even a mini review if you wish. Old and new games, any platform :)

Currently on my Xbox One is Titanfall - Still can't get enough of this game.

In between the big stompy robots trying to get through my back catalogue of game on my 360. Currently it's Saw - decent game, very good atmosphere and puzzles but is massively let down by the combat.

    • Uh, after intense testing now, 'Samsung Browser' is not the best one outside of 'Microsoft Edge' after all. Opera Air is that. It has "some" bloat, but it's far less than what both Microsoft Edge and Brave browser have.
    • Weekend PC Game Deals: Resident Evil, Mafia, Like a Dragon, and more by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place every week for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets. The Epic concluded its mystery giveaways this week with another double freebie promotion. As a part of this, you can now grab Rogue Waters and Songs of Conquest to keep. Songs of Conquest is a turn-based 4X strategy game where you'll be managing a kingdom, making tough decisions, and taking down enemy forces in tactical combat. Meanwhile, Rogue Waters is a roguelike where, as a pirate captain, you command a ship and crew through procedurally generated encounters. The double giveaway is coming to an end on June 11. On the same day, Warhammer 40K Speed Freeks will join in as the next freebie. Another Humble Choice offer was revealed earlier this week, bringing a refreshed eight-game selection to jump into. The June selection is Octopath Traveler 2, The Riftbreaker, Life is Strange: Double Exposure, INDIKA, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, Construction Simulator, Hell Clock, and Overlooting to keep as Steam keys. The $15 bundle gives you all eight games from this month's Choice selection. The month-long promotion will come to an end on July 6, giving you ample time to decide on whether you want the titles. The Humble Store also brought in standard gaming collections this week. The IGN Live Bundle kicked things off with games like Control, Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew, Blair Witch, Rollerdrome, and The Last Campfire for $10. At the same time, the We Will Always be Here bundle carried in titles like Bad End Theater, Thirsty Suitors, Vampire Therapist, and Tavern Talk for $12. Next, the 2K Sports Champions Bundle comes touting games like NBA 2K26, PGA TOUR 2K25, OlliOlli World Rad Edition, and TopSpin 2K25 with a hefty $25 price tag. • Exciting! It’s amazing how hearing Japanese can naturally enhance the perceived quality of any experience or product.
    • Your other comment in another article says otherwise, namely "Microsoft veteran wants to replace every single line of C/C++ code with Rust and AI".
