Joshie
I just can't get over how many people immediately jumped on the PS3-controller's-a-boomerang bandwagon, and now suddenly it's all about not judging a book by its cover. I'm willing to give this thing a try, but to everyone out there with double-standards about this sort of thing, grow the fark up. PS3's will, at least, not come with a learning curve. :p Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/372896-nintendo-revolution-controller-revealed/page/7/#findComment-586532867 Share on other sites

mugwhump
Who was the friggin' genius who decided to have TWO sets of A and B buttons? One set is capital, and one is lowercase. WTF? 586532283 Who cares? Obviously you can tell the difference, because you just did. They are placed completely different, with differend shapes. If you mistake the tiny lowercase 'b' for the gigantic uppercase rectangular 'B' button on the back, you've got more problems than this controller would raise. I'll still buy one. Hell, if it sucks, it sucks. As long as I can plug in the GC controllers and play older vintage games, thats worth the buy in price for me. Then again, I was planning on getting a Rev and 360 from the get-go anyways, before I knew anything about either. This is almost a non-issue for me...I bought a GC, thought the controller sucked before I even bought that...it grew on me, now I like it fine. IMHO, I don't think I'll like this one either, but if works really well, hey, bonus for me. Then again, probably unlike most the people posting here..., I'm an adult with my own source of income and I won't have to choose which new console to ask mommy and daddy to get me. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/372896-nintendo-revolution-controller-revealed/page/7/#findComment-586532885 Share on other sites
knight1
I have been a nintendo fan for ever. I thought the nintendo 64 controller was great and the game cube one was even better. But Im sorry to say this one is not my cup of tea. I think the idea is good but not for a standerd controller. Maybe if they incorporated most of thoughs Ideas in to a more conventional controller I would be more in tone. I have had every nintendo system. Sadly if the controller does not change. I probably will not be getting this one. Nintend keeps saying it wants to expaned the market. I really dont think this will get people who dont play video games to start playing. If that's the idea. I think it will just turn off most players except the most hard core of nintendo fans. Selling only to the people who must have mario, zelda, and so on. With a few very few third party titles trying some thing new with one or two titles and that's all. Going with sony and microsoft for the majority of titles. I hate saying this cause im such a fan of nintendo but i see one of two situations happening. One. They fail miserably. Two. They fall in the same spot they have now with the game cube. Solely surviving on first and second party titles. But them being number one agian not going to happen. *sad* Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/372896-nintendo-revolution-controller-revealed/page/7/#findComment-586532911 Share on other sites
golazo
i think it could be pretty cool, i guess the only way to see for sure is to actually play the thing. it's still not taking me away from getting a xbox360 though Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/372896-nintendo-revolution-controller-revealed/page/7/#findComment-586532918 Share on other sites

People are sceptical of change. But if given a little time I think it will sink inn and people might understand and give it a chance. It's really to early to tell. I think I'll have to see "ordinary" people and ask for some comments on the controller. Nintendo might have something here though, just like the DS. I'm a big fan myself and change is good. Can't wait to test this, because this is really exciting! Spartan_X
Go to a library, use the internet, get a money order at the post office, and get one off Ebay. 586532865 maybe you don't know this but there's intelligent life forms living outside the US that doesn't have access to many of those "everyday services" you mentioned, and that's one of the main reasons why Microsoft is removing the need for a CC to sign up for the new version of Xbox Live. [sarcasm] if you ever had the chance to travel all the way to the north you'll find a huge cold forest inhabited by funny speaking natives, it's called Canada; but if you go all the way to the south you may end up finding the place where the tacos and burritos were discovered and it's place where many of the slaved underpaid work force is imported from. also, if you go to the east side of the coast and and sail for a few days you'll end up in some little islands where most of the professional baseball players are waiting to be discovered...    :p [/sarcasm] Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/372896-nintendo-revolution-controller-revealed/page/7/#findComment-586532955 Share on other sites
Laughing-Man
that's one of the main reasons why Microsoft is removing the need for a CC to sign up for the new version of Xbox Live. And it is called making your online service for free like the Revolution's. Oh diss.... Seriously I have no clue what the purpose of your post was about. We were talking about purchasing controllers. If people can buy controllers for their systems at the present they shouldn't have problems finding controllers when the nextgen systems come out. Period. You guys are really making up stupid scenarios for reasons why people can't find a video game controller. I expect next you are going to be asking me how can a person without hands use the Revolution's controller. Wrist injury comes from repetative stress, like pinching your nerve or whatever causes carpel tunnel on the edge of your desk holding your mouse for an hour or two. Holding the revolution remote/controller shouldnt be a problem...
