Nintendo Revolution Controller Revealed

wait i dont understand.

Is this going to be like the ONLY controller, or is it going to have a normal controller and then this 'remote controller'?

I mean it looks like a very lovely remote, but I like to use both hands when playing.

The other hand would be the analog stick thing. Supposedly you can also slip it in a control shell if need be. I'm willing to give it a shot unlike other people here. I'll decide after I try it in store or at a friends because the press says it's surprisingly comfortable.

you guys are not being open minded. How can you say it's terrible?

It's a REMOTE!

It's not like they gave it a weird design!

Holy Crap! Why can't people understand that using the controller as a whole

requires TWO hands, however they've given you the option to remove the 'remote side' just in case a game only needs that.

It is THE ONLY controller. (Nintendo isnt going to launch another controller with the Rev)

I personally think it's amazing. Reading through a number of forums, it seems that while there are people who won't try no matter what, generally the reception is good and people think its exciting. That really surprises me, but I really hope it takes off because this could make games fun again.

Did you people actually read the article or just look at the pics?

You forget what site your on?

pics, reading is such a pain for most, people stop jumping the gun and read ( like they are going to read this post anyways i save my my keypress lifespan)

@ jerry, they haven't announced that have they?

Can you provide a link?

Maybe you mean, "that is the only controller they have announced thus far"

Anyway, I agree with one of the posts above.

People will have just looked at the pics.

Neowin forum users are just like

"Gwarsh, pretty pictures, My nut understand wurdzzz"

It looks awesome for fps's, racing games and adventure games etc.

I think that this is a great idea. Did you people actually read the article or just look at the pics?

did you expect that someone flaming here was going to actually read the article :p

anyway... that thing looks nice, the posibilities and if it can be atached to other things that make endless possibilities

By the gods, this thing could be used for a lot of things, swing that controller and hit a enemy in Zelda, LASER PINPOINT ACCURACY IN FPS!!! COME ON HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE THAT!? The damn thing is nearly every controller for the past twenty years in one! Plus it has tilt sensor, it can become an attachment of a attachment, like that bongo things and DDR pads.

Dear god, most innovative thing yet for controlling games in a non geek/idiotic way )EyE Toy DDR Pad) and you guys just crap all over it. Wait before you speak is my best friend.

@jmole, I didn't spot those on while reading the article.

Those are some great pics, and now I understand how they said the controller will be able to 'adapt' to the game.

(sadly that may mean we have to buy many attachments)

But that looks great! Sometimes I do like to have one arm lower than another when playing so that'll be usefull.

And it there are attachments, I think it's quite obvious that there might be another controller released with a nice revo design but without the motion sensor etc..

    • Less powerful than a PS5 at twice the price! I wonder if they use that for marketing? Totally DoA.

    • How does it compare to the "SeeStar S30 Pro" and the "Vespera PRO 2"?
    • Indeed. And note that those units are MUCH cheaper than this new Steam Machine...ahem.
