Yes, me at gmail....

First big beta that I will actually be doing, was offered Server '03 R2 though and said no.

Can't wait to test this mama.....

And to everyone that wanted and didn't get :p

Why does anyone care. Honestly. OpenOffice 2.0 was released. It's amazing, no point in wasting time with Microsoft when you have such a great free option like that.

Not everyone likes openoffice. It works like crap for me. And stop trolling the thread.

no need to troll my friend. as the thread title clearly states, this is the Office Beta 12 invites page. If you got one, great.. share your joy. If you didnt, or if you feel that a diff. product is better, we're sorry.. but dont waste a post space!

BTW: I use linux a lot and use OpenOffice.. so don't think i'm bashing it.. it's a great product and I'm sure no one here really cares about it in this thread :)

send one invite to office 12beta [email protected]

lol sorry my friend but Microsoft betas (most) don't work like the gmail/30gigs/watever else email invitations do. They're closed only to those whom Microsoft chooses! sorry :)

Same as above^^

typical MS they give beta invites to some kid that only joined up to get the betas!

and they leave out people like OEM system builders and Microsoft partners. who have tested things more complex than a stupid Instant message client.

ROFL no your incorrect if you were a real oem or partner you need to have gold status and you would have already been getting vista builds 2 times a month or more and maybe some office 12 builds. ;)

i'm sorry but is office 12 only for oem system builders? no, it's for everyone. and therefore a variety of people need to be chosen for the beta. just because it does not include you specifically does not mean anything. I understand your pain, but your argument is still not justified.

Very true, and they had a free competence test a few months back which would have given him early access to the BETA.

I have all the correct paper work from MS to say iam a real OEM. i might not be shifting 100's of pcs every week. but i sell about that each mounth. and i have asked MS if small OEMS will get access to the Vista betas and i was told no. only selected beta testers and MSDN subs will get access to it.

I was jsut stateing a fact thats all, i did not in anyway shape or form say that this beta was for OEMS only.

MS jsut seem to pick people that know f all about computers and how to beta test software properly over some one thats got MS credentials.

i doubt you know the majority of the testers and their standings in regards to testing. besides, it's not only aimed at OEMs and partners, as they focus on admitting the layman as well, considering its a major consumer product, so they probably like the average user also submitting suggestings and bugs. Sorry to burst ur bubble of ranting..

Anyone can sign up for gold partner status its something like US$1200 a year. not bad for constantly getting builds.

    • I spent a good 15 min today trying to get new Outlook to use my default browser instead of forcing links into Edge. That kinda tactic is shady and it sucks.

A browser based on the Blink engine (same in Chrome and Chromium) that is fast, but also a browser that is rich in functionality, highly flexible and puts the user first. A browser that is made for you. Vivaldi is produced with love by a founding team of browser pioneers, including former CEO Jon Stephenson von Tetzchner, who co-founded and led Opera Software. Vivaldi’s interface is very customizable. Vivaldi combines simplicity and fashion to create a basic, highly customizable interface that provides everything a internet user could need. The browser allows users to customize the appearance of UI elements such as background color, overall theme, address bar and tab positioning, and start pages. Vivaldi features the ability to "stack" and "tile" tabs, annotate web pages, add notes to bookmarks and much more. • Also try installing an alternative browser on ChromeOS. You have to enable dev mode and run it as a Linux app. Clunky.
    • sometimes in older bios' you had to set a password in order to change the csm settings
    • I've enjoyed Firefoxx64 DE for many years, and Edge doesn't tempt me, and I stopped using Chrome long ago--far too many bugs.
