Office 12 Beta 1 Released

Just got it installed. It is pretty much like Pre-Beta. What I hate most is that Outlook is way behind it is supposed to. And IMAP-support still sucks as hell. Other than that I like the new idea of the concept.

Word 12 is dynamite, I'm loving the UI and this citation feature. Don't get me started on the layout designing. I use Office mostly for Word, so I'm loving the improvements.

Oh, and after about 15 minutes of getting errors, I finally submitted my first bug. And after an eternity of hitting "resume" on the downloader, Frontpage is downloading at 77 kb/s.

Instead of retrying all the time, I'm simply running a ping beta.microsoft.com -n 238902 :p

I have'nt been able to get onto Beta Place all day, its a very good reason why is it not on connect? Anyone? At this rate Bit torrent will be faster than Microsofts servers what are they on dial up? :laugh:

I downloaded Office 12 Pro beta last night and I was looking to download FrontPage today. Looks like that won't happen until they fix the problems. Hopefully they'll have it fixed soon

That's what I did. Logged onto connect and thought, where is the download?!

Later I re-read me invite, beta.microsoft.com :ermm: I thought that was going to be scrapped for connect? :huh:

I downlowaded the pre release and tried it, now it wont let me install beta one, says I have tio uninstall pre release first, which I did.

beta.microsoft.com is working fine now. And my download is going at an average of 225 KB/sec. :)

I got it to install now, I just had to reboot and try again. Goofy Windows. :)
