well this proves worng all the apple fanboys who said that the g5 was better than anything that intel had well tbh i dont see how intel chips have got 2-3 tmies better since the announcement of the move to intel when the apple site was still proudly displaying that the g5 was much faster than the best intel chips. it looks like apple might have lied to their customers a bit :s

The duo is a new intel chip, no lying required to say that the g5 was faster than intel earlier.

Sweeeeet!!!

All the current software that runs on the current powerpc chips like Adobe, Shake, Final Cut, etc.....will be updated to run on the Intel chip based Macs.

They say you can send in your original cd's with $49.00 and get the updated software for intel chips. :D

Dammit, bought an iMac November 27th...

you loser, nobody in their right mind would buy a mac, so soon after an announcement about switching archeticture. like come on.

WHY DO YOU THINK I WAITED?!

now i'll have a nice shiny new intel imac.. and you'll have a dying ppc imac. have fun ;)

(actually, i want an intel mac mini. but meh.)

cheers!

I didn't think the iMac would be the first. And I needed a new computer anyways.

I could have waited another 1.5 months, but oh well.
