[OFFICIAL] X360 Dashboard/Game Updates

Recommended Posts

Maybe your TV really sucks.

Anyways I just got my 360 2 days ago and I dont know how you guys put up with some of the issues for so long (mostly the downloading)

As the 360 would download something, I would go and do other stuff...live life. Then, I would come back and find the thing downloaded and it was all
The update is great and love the background and boot to dash features and overall it seems as if the guide moves smoother and a bit faster does anyone else think so ?
Yes, it definitely does move a lot faster/smoother. They actually mentioned this when they were first talking about the update.

I just got the update today, I'm very impressed! I also can't believe how such a fast download made such a world of a difference. :D

Continuation of Co-op Campaign with 4 All New Missions in Chapter 2:

Coffee Plantation (Day)

This takes place on a coffee plantation embedded deep in Nicaragua. The map is littered with good cover options that appear in the form of a centrally located plantation house, coffee processing equipment, growing coffee plants, and stacked bags of coffee beans ready for transport. The Ghosts? overall goal of this mission is to eliminate the arms dealer and shut down his operations.

Shipping Port (Evening)

The next mission takes place at a shipping port and the Ghosts? objective is to stop the enemy from smuggling weapons into the country. The player will interact with rebel troops through warehouses, decks of ships, and on massive shipping cranes. This night mission provides an eerie backdrop for Ghosts to move in take out the weapon shipments and ensure that the illegal smuggling of arms will stop.

River Depot (Dawn)

This map puts the Ghosts in a jungle area that the Rebel forces have infiltrated and are using for storing and shipping out illegal weapons. The goal of the Ghosts is to secure the warehouse facility that holds crucial information concerning the placement and shipment of weapons. As the player weaves through the jungle and eliminates the patrols of enemies, they must also destroy all the weapon shipments and keep the Rebels from extracting from the area. Massive trees, loads of weapon shipments, and enemy transports are unique characteristics of this mission.

Jungle Mine (Day)

The last mission in this co-op campaign chapter takes place in a mine that is vital to the Rebel force?s regime and the Ghosts are tasked with securing the area, destroying the weapons, and eliminating the Rebel leader. The central location on this map is the mine itself and it provides a place for multi-tiered gameplay surrounded by good cover. This mission provides a new gameplay experience for Ghost Recon fans and it will surely be one of the more memorable missions in GR history.

Thanks, rob!

Something that bugs me though...every GRAW screenshot I've seen, the teal outlining of the HUD is clearly visible on all sides. On my HDTV, no matter what resolution I use, it doesn't look like that. It appears more "zoomed in". Any thoughts?

There is either something wrong with your TV or you have the 360 set to 4:3 aspect ratio.

Well, I don't think it's the 360 because I have it set to 1080i, which won't allow for a 4:3 ratio.

I'm thinking of picking up the VGA cable but my HDTV doesn't have VGA In, only DVI. You guys know of a VGA to DVI adapter? I've searched Circuit City and Radio Shack's websites and haven't found one.

did you flip the switch thing on the xbox to HD

After the recent dashboard update that graced the 360, many people have been figuring out new things with the new update, and mainly trying to find out all these 125 features that Microsoft touted. Whilst searching for new features, Pixelgamers found this: the ability to play custom music on backwards-compatible games.

We can only assume that this works because now Microsoft have made it so when you change games or quit back to the dashboard the custom music carries on playing, this seems to apply to original Xbox games too. However it is still possible to change tracks using the remote. The full process works as follows:

1. Start at the Dashboard, and choose a custom soundtrack and start playing.

2. Insert an original Xbox game.

3. The music carries on, and plays over the top of everything else.

4. Voila. Your favourite Micheal Jackson album playing alongside Halo.

Cool

    • If they ever come out and say the AI is no longer accessible to the gen pop people aren't going to know how to tie their own shoelaces.
    • It's hard not to when they are shoehorning Ai into EVERYTHING. Some are active users by choice, I bet a lot of them are because it's shoved in their face the entire time.

    • Nearly half of American adults now use AI, but concerns are also growing by Hamid Ganji Since the launch of ChatGPT in 2022, the way people research, get their news, and perform routine tasks has changed dramatically. Now, almost everything around us has a touch of AI, and companies are trying to embed it into nearly every product and service they offer. With that in mind, new research shows how Americans are actually adopting this change and using AI in their everyday lives. According to new research conducted by the Pew Research Center, 49% of American adults now use AI chatbots like ChatGPT or Gemini. This marks a significant increase over last year, when only 33% of American adults reported using AI. Additionally, four in ten U.S. adults (42%) said they use AI tools to research information, while 38% said they use these tools to handle tasks at work. Entertainment, image and video editing, and getting medical advice are among the other ways Americans are using AI. Moreover, ChatGPT dominates the U.S. AI market, with 44% of respondents saying they use OpenAI's chatbot. Gemini follows at 24%, while Copilot and Meta AI account for 17% and 14%, respectively. Respondents also said that AI chatbots generally have a positive impact on their productivity and how informed they are. But when it comes to AI’s impact on society, Americans remain largely skeptical. About 40% of American adults believe AI will be more harmful than beneficial to society over the next 20 years. Additionally, 31% expect AI to have a negative effect on them personally. Another 31% of respondents say AI could be equally positive and negative. As for data security, pessimism remains high: 71% of respondents say AI will make their personal information less secure, while only 3% believe it will make their data more secure. American adults also largely lack confidence in both the government and AI companies when it comes to regulating and developing AI. About 67% of Americans have little to no confidence in the U.S. government’s ability to regulate AI effectively. Six in ten adults are also not confident that U.S. companies will develop and use these tools responsibly.
