You could always hide the tabs :). Is this the beta teams idea of a joke ? because if it is it's really not funny.....this thing is a cross between messgner 8 and msn messger 5 (why it bloody hell do they have the old icons back ? but when you signin the icon in the systray is the same darkgreen....)

I know huh? :p I can't believe I didn't like the other build's UI until I saw this. This build changed my whole out look on Live Messenger.

They better be doing this to put everyones hopes down for the final release UI.

What confuses me is why they're using the Windows Messenger icon in the system tray as opposed to the old MSN Messenger one? The green dude looks so empty without the MSN butterfly sitting on his shoulder.

That new UI build (0562) looks like it was meant for Window 95. I like that the old icons are back, but they should of done that with the previous build while keeping it looking like a messenger for Windows XP.

Tools > Options > Security > This is a shared computer so don't display my tabs :)

You went under the privicy settings, and set shared computer and the tabs went away.

I like the old icons, they just need to make them look a bit more smooth and modern and they will look good. The ones in the last Beta looked pretty horrible and "kiddish" but if they use the old icons and add a bit of shine to them they would be just fine. The new build is a bit less bulky, and some annoyances like the hovering contacts are now gone for good which is a good thing. The colors are better you don't have to choose the Crayola interface as the grey and white look great. It's in the right direction.. it's a "refresh" which means there will be better to come!

Why is no one posting the url for download. What do you think will happen if you do? Oh no someone might get a download that won't work anyways if there not in the beta. Can someone please post it. There is no link in the programs in connect and the build is the same in ideas.live.com.

What is this media player button in the top courner of every window? Why can't I click it?

Where are my display pictures when someone signs in? (found them....ish) Why can't I personalize every window now?

This UI is atleast better than the previous bloated crap. Atleast they were eager to heed notive to our feedback. Kudos to them!!!!

Wasn't there an issue with an 8GB file generated by the previous build...has anyone had any problems with this version so far or did they fix that problem?
