Have you got an addon or something installed on yours? cause I've got the BETA refresh as well (I'm a proper BETA tester) and it looks nothing like yours (but I gotta say your looks much better! :) )

The only add-on I am using is SweetIM: http://www.sweetIM.com (The one on the main website doesnt work with WLM) but I have a beta version of the new version that works with it. PM me if you want it.

I agree with the fact that this new UI stinks. I've just switched back to the previous beta version as its UI is much more appealing. This new one just looks too boxey and more like a step back then anything. What are the folks at Redmond thinking?

I guess I'm a definite minority here with the fact that I like the new UI design. Back to a nice simplistic feel! I was angered by the big childish feel of the original beta. This UI can use some improvements, but I don't think it is the damnation of UIs.

On the other side, the new features are very welcomed!

Some that I have noticed are:

* Nickname support

* Ability to not use sharing folders (when you click the send file icon it asks you which you want to use, better than the old method)

* No longer jumps up to the file transfer after sending

I probably missed something, but the rest is documented in the changelogs maybe.

Where i can find a link to this version? i'm a beta tester and i dont know how to download the lastest version.

Yes!!!!

I'm a beta tester too with the build 0369 and i don't now how to have the new build 0562 pleaaaase HELP

WOOOOHUUUAAAAAA!!!!!!

When M$ give me my email !!!!!!!

I WANT NEW LIVE MESSENGER REFRESH!!!!!

why some beta testers have the email first and other like me more late!!!

I feel its a good upgrade but I agree the GUI of previous build was much better but I always hated the icons , I think they should polish the icons of the old version (7.5) instead of directly using them (like they have used in this new build)

Can people just not understand, if you weren't invited by microsoft then you wont have it, this is a managed beta so just 1st gen people will get it. Not the invitees!

    • Absolutely NOBODY has suggested such a conclusion. I am affirming the sober reality check that AV2's overall market adoption will take longer than AV1's adoption rate -- which, by the way, is the whole point of the article! While PCI-SIG is productive (on paper), other WGs have created all sorts of confusing progress plans that consumers have tuned-out of their improvements... HTML/W3C, USB, HDMI, BT, WIFI (ieee802.11) as a few other groups where spec naming conventions, split progress paths, overlapping ambitions... I'm not critiquing the AV specs group; I'm simply affirming that adoption for AV2 faces headwinds beyond the macroeconomics of it all.

    • No thanks! WebView trash is unacceptable. I only use software that's native.
