The Official NDS Homebrew Thread

I just ordered a SuperKey and Supercard Lite from RealHotGaming.com...got both for $77 after S/H, plus they seem to have great reviews and are listed as a reseller directly on Supercard's website. I am going to order a 1GB micro-sd from Amazon and hopefully be on my way! I am so excited, can't wait till it gets here!

yea, that is what I meant, sorry-it won't let me edit it now for some reason either.

Anyway, they are out of stock, but are getting more in on Thursday, so I just wanted to get on the list of receiver's.

Yeah, I saw that the other day. Looks like the beez knees. Word is it will be out August 20. GBA flashcarts have just been made obsolete ;) . Here's a couple more pics.

Sorry I haven't responded here much lately. I've been working 50+ hours a week lately and I just don't have the time.

I've contacted Divineo in attempt to cancel my SCL order in anticipation of this cart. I figure the EZF4 can tide me over until I get myself a DSLink. The best bit will be the ability to (hopefully) use the GBA expansion packs, like the rumble cart or the expansion cart for the browser :)

Oh well I won't feel too bad about having a Supercard Lite versus that thing :p

I'm pitting Kicktrading against Divineo right now, whoever is first gets the money and I cancel the other.

I guess if DSLink preorders go up before I get one I'll take that as a sign.

Guys....big big news.

Apparently it doesn't run GBA, but NDS games and homebrew are meant to be great.

WHAT? NOOOO! I just had my SuperCard Lite shipped out. Oh well, I can always resell. Where can I find out more information about this? And I don't mind the lack of GBA support, I am just wanting for DS anyway. Give me a link!

i hope you are right about the August 20th. buying my ticket for hong kong tomorrow and will be there first half of september b4 flying off japan for university. so if this is out by then i will be one very happy tourist in HK.. haha. Otherwise its the SC Lite which is also very awesome.

This really is the perfect solution because it opens up a whole new world of expansion using that browser cart attachment. im happy to pay handsomely for this unit, if it is twice the cost of the SC Lite i don't care. as long as the support is good.

so it's been almost a month that I have been out of the whole NDS moding world... and I was wondering... what are my options for flashcarts that fit flush in my DS lite?

also.. what site are recomened to buy it from? (and by 'it' it mean the passme and flashcart)

ok.. I know this will replace the need of the GBA slot flashcart, but what about passme?

or will it have an integraded passcard like the ninjapass?

I found some more pix of the DSlink here

And I also found this img on somebody's blog.

a fake maybe? hhm..?

and just some facts in case you didn't know:

- made by edit

- uses a microSD

- passcard fuction? maybe?

yeah those new pictures they said they'd put up today. it is looking great and like it isnt far away. that aug 20th date seems like it could be possible. really excited about this one :)

Edit: just read they have tried to cut costs by not including the passme into their ds cart. so you will need to have a flashed ds lite for this to work. if the compatibility is right and save features work well then i will still pick this up and get the shop to flash for me in HK (the even sell pre-flashed ones there, infact they encourage them) but it better be damn good in compatibility to make it popular.

uhm.. if it's not gonna work as a passme device... then I don't think it's worth it...

I rather use the GBA and DS slot and be sure that my DS will work.. than risk turning it into a really expensive paper weight.

IMO, the best thing would be to release one with passme funtion and one with out. of course the price will be very different.. but worth it.

who said everybody else was not going to purchase it? hahaha.. flashing DS's is almost the norm in hong kong. When i told my friends about the passme cards they are like why would you want to do that? haha. if this thing has good compatibility i might just give my DS Lite to them and say flash it for me. They try to sell you flashed ones there anyway. this is in the dodgy places of course. i just have a feeling the support won't be as good as m3 or sc so i will probably pick up the sc lite and a passme card

    • Frankly, I blame whoever is writing such articles. "A big improvement/update and/or new feature is now available to everyone! Also, use some unofficial tweak tool to enable it because it actually isn't available to you yet and might not in fact even be entirely ready or whatever, hence why it is perhaps not enabled for you*. But it's great and you should enable it!" I mean there's nothing wrong with sharing info about some feature you might need to enable via unofficial means, of course. It's just that these articles tend to essentially end up being two news pieces in one, and one of them tends to be a bit misleading. (*Yes, yes, the "it's a controlled rollout!" thing. Not a fan of that one either. The argument, not the actual rollout.)
    • Thank you. Will do. I read in the release notes that editor config might be at play here.
    • Actually, I think even Microsoft doesn't know how to control it
    • OpenAI is making Codex more useful in Chrome and the cloud by Pradeep Viswanathan OpenAI's Codex now has more than 5 million users, up nearly 4x from earlier this year. To further accelerate Codex's growth among developers, OpenAI today announced that it has agreed to acquire Ona, a company that builds secure cloud execution and orchestration technology for developers. Ona will enable developers to run Codex with persistent and controlled cloud infrastructure for long-running agentic workflows. Right now, most Codex execution happens locally on developers' laptops and PCs, and the agents work continuously for hours. Through Ona, OpenAI aims to make Codex agents keep working for days without being tied to a user’s local machine or an active session. This will be an important capability for enterprises that want to deploy AI agents in production while maintaining control over infrastructure, data, security boundaries, credential scope, logging, and review workflows. Like any acquisition, the deal is still subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals. Until the deal closes, OpenAI and Ona will continue to operate as separate companies. After closing, Ona’s team will join the Codex team to improve developer workflows. Alongside the Ona acquisition announcement, OpenAI today introduced a few Codex updates. Developers can now save Codex rate limit resets and use them later instead of losing them when they are not needed immediately. OpenAI is also adding a referral option where users can invite a friend to Codex and get a saved rate limit reset. OpenAI today also announced a developer mode for browser use in Chrome and the Codex in-app browser. With this mode, Codex can use the Chrome DevTools Protocol to debug web apps, inspect pages, and work more directly with browser-based development workflows. Developers can use this when they want Codex to profile JavaScript, inspect console output and network traffic, examine web page states including the DOM and applied styles, and more.
