Try selling your current Supercard on eBay, you should get a decent price, I'd imagine. Also, you paid ?100 for a 1gb SD card? You got ripped off badly, my 1gb MicroSD card cost me AUS$65, which is less than ?40, and MicroSDs are substantially more expensive than SDs.

Somebody gave me a 32MB microsd for free so I went ahead and bought a SC Lite. It should be here later this week. I'll be getting a 2GB microsd once they go down a bit. 32MB should be enough for testing.

LMAO.

games are 16,32 or 64mb. your 32mb will format to about 30.5mb usable, so you will only be able to test a 16mb game!

i bought my 1gb micro sd 1 week ago for ?23 delivered. bought a 512mb mini sd for ?7.50 delivered too. both from a hong kong seller on ebay.

I know that's why I said it was for testing:pinch:h: Right now I have a 2GB MiniSD + M3. That is why I don't want to buy a 1GB micro now. All the stuff will not fit. Right now all I am playing is Tetris so 32MB is more than enoug;);)

Just letting you guys know the M3 Lite is due out tomorrow and the 25th (depends on the place). Realhotstuff currently has it for pre-order for $78.99USD and kicktrading will have it on sale on the 25th.

I've heard nothing but great things about realhotstuff, but I'm personally waiting for kicktrading because I've always had great dealings with them and the one time I didn't deal with them I got screwed (by Divineo) :pinch: .

There are also a few new apps and uptades to current ones that I will be adding to the first post when I get some time in the next few days.

I can vouch for RealHotStuff.com...they are fast, cheap, and in America! Also, they are a sponsor of the Supercard and the owner of the site is on their forum daily helping out people. He also responds via PM and email very quickly!

you're aliiiivvveeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

anyway, how's compatibility for that m3? since my SCMini is kinda busted i'm looking for a replacement... i need it small, lotta storage, and working with moonshell and stuff... don't really care much about gba but soundvoyager without slowdowns would be nice :)

Im going to buy a DS Lite soon, perhaps with Mario Kart but thats another story.. I need to know how to run homebrew on a DS Lite, and what PassMe or whatever card I should buy. I've heard people ranting about a new M3 coming out, whats this? And what about the DS-Xtreme coming out soon, which seems to make this whole process easier. Thanks.

I'd like people from the UK to recommend some sites they bought off too! :) Cheers

check the first page in this topic as it'll probably hold all info you'll ever need ;)

basically you need

1. ds slot: something to "bypass nds native firmware" -> superpass, superkey etc...

2. gba slot: something to hold the data you want to use (roms, apps, movs, mp3,...) -> supercard, m3, g6,...

there are a lot of variations on both components so you can choose and combine in alot of different ways :)

dsxtreme is a new generation of devices which combines the above mentioned components in 1 device, meaning your ds slot is used for bypassing as well as data loading...

happy hunting :)

get your ds flashed ?8 from: www.cheapmods.net (uk site)

get a supercard lite ?36.50 from there too.

get a 512/1gb/2gb micro sd card from ebay. 1gb is ?23 delivered from hong kong.

i have bought a supercard lite and had a ds pink and a ds lite white flashed from cheapmods.net. you can choose recorded delivery or special etc. ?1.30 ish for recorded.

thats all you n:)d :)

I know that there are some negative reports reported about the EZ4 flash. Well, I just ordered an EZ-Flash 4 lite and an EZ-Pass 3 from Kick Trading. I got a pretty cheap 256MB microSD card to use for now (eventually I'll go 1gig, but for now 256 is big enough as I only plan on using it for games, not movies, music, etc.). Since this setup has recieved some negative criticism I'll post my own humble review of the setup. This will be my first attempt at the homebrew/hacking scene for the DS, although I have done cell phone hacking before and am technically knowledgable. Look for my review late next week.

I use the EZ-Flash IV Lite, and really, the only problem is it's homebrew compatiblity. It's the best out there for GBA games, and definitely close to the top with DS games. You'll want more than 256mb though. FF3 alone is 128mb.

I thought everyone would be interested to know that the 1gig sd card on amazon is now only $14.50!! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001A06G...6516151?ie=UTF8

C'mon M3 lite!

Unfortunately the M3 lite uses MicroSD cards. A fair bit more expensive than normal SD.

More pictures of the M3 Lite can be found HERE Also unless im mistaken, the M3 Lite is set to sell for 398元 (that character should be encoded as yuan, chinese currency) so if thats correct over there you can pick it up for around $65AUD ($50USD) only about $15 more than the SCL price over there so heres hoping in HK the prices are similar because i'll be picking up the M3 Lite in a HK a few days after it is released. Hell $50USD is much nicer than $80. I know its crazy but i actually like the side loading SD Micro slot besides the content of the 1gb card i'm not planing on changing all that often. :)

Well, I definately plan on playing FF3, but if I'm going to be playing FF3 I'll be pretty sucked into it and won't be needing much else on the cart. I'll get a 1gig card soon enough.

M3 Lite looks really good... I will have to rethink on the SC Lite.

Which passme device(?) (passcard 3 or superkey) would anyone recommend with the new M3 Lite?

I know that the passcard has a boot up logo whereas the superkey doesnt. Will there be any compatibility issues using different brands with each other?

Both will work fine with the M3. The newer Superkeys have a splash screen now as well. If you are going with an M3, I would go for the Passcard 3 just to assure complete compatibility (even though they are exactly the same and made in the same factory).

Bricking and Saving questions:

1:

I read on comparisions between flashing the DS and simply using a passkey that you can brick your DS using either method.

I understand that Flashme has a security feature that, once correctly in place, can allow you to re-flash your DS in case your firmware gets messed up. I can understand how you could brick your DS in the process of putting the Flashme firmware on the DS in the first place, so I can see why that is handy.

But I also read that if you don't use Flashme and just use the passkey that you run the risk of permanently bricking your DS because you don't have that security feature that the Flashme provides. My question is this: what would you do that that would cause your firmware to get corrupted or overwritten if you never flashed the firmware to start with? Does the simple task of using a passkey device risk deleting your firmware? This rationale doesn't seem to make sense to me as a con of not flashing your DS.

Can anyone clarify?

2:

I've been reading on the EZ4 and have ordered one (the lite model), but I'm not sure I understand one thing, and that is saved NDS games.

The thing that throws me for a loop is the whole mention of the saves being stored in the EZ4 memory first, then being stored on the SD card when it is rebooted. Does this mean that I need to re-boot the DS before the save actually sticks? I'm just not sure what this is all about.

I do understand that I need to make the .sav file myself and put it on the SD card. I'm assuming that this can be a 0byte file at first. Is that correct? In otherwords, I make a new "plaintext" file on my PC and rename it gamename.sav and move it over to the proper folder in the EZ4, correct?

Edit: I just noticed that newest versions of the EZ4 client automatically make the .sav file, so I shouldn't need to do anything.

Assuming that I have the creation of the .sav file understood, can someone shed some light on the whole "rebooting" issue? Is that something that I really will never notice or do I need to do something conciously in order to make my save game stick to the .sav file on the SD card? What about for GBA games?

(these questions cross posted to GBAtemp)

    • That's not clickbait. Clickbait is headlines like, "You'll never guess what this person looks like now" for example. For goodness sake, take a look around the internet if you think this is clickbait. How do sites survive if people don't click through to articles? How many people in all honesty would have clicked this if it had your suggested headline? You and those upvoting your post won't be happy until the web is a couple of hundred websites all behind a paywall.

    • Or use Epic games and get full games for free. lol Steam and their demos. Thankfully there’s competition
    • Maybe I missed it, but does this say anywhere that the game save bug has been squashed? I haven't encountered it myself, but it would be nice to know I'm good to go. Anyway, amazingly well done game. Mostly more of the same. ...but when the same is best in class with improved graphics and features, then a win.
    • Well when your game flops, you should expect this. If I do bad at work, I would expect a layoff. Less than 1600 people played it on steam. https://steamdb.info/app/1934570/charts/
