Official 2006 NBA Basketball Playoffs

I have been saying this for well over a year now. If anyone is going to be the next Michael Jordan, it is NOT going to be LeBron James, it will be Dwyane Wade. I even asked Steve Kerr if he thought so on his column for yahoo, and I am pretty sure he answered it in his next article, but I think he reworded the question, so it would make a better story, because oddly enough a little girl asked the exact same qustion I did, with the exact same words.

I dont know why I'm the only one who can see this.

I havnt seen so many floping pieces of **** since i last watched an ACC game. Well except for when i watched some of the worldcup this morning, but thats a differnt sport, and everysingle team/player does that all game so that normal, i guess.

I have to admit, the refs swallowed the whistle in the last 5 minutes. I don't think David Stern would have enjoyed a sweep

lol, their was bad calls on both sides, its funny when mia lose 2 games i didnt see dame refs they did about 15 bad calls vs mia in 2 games(well it was like 30 bad calls in 2 games 15 mia, 15 dal)

and new its 20 bad call in 2 games at mia(about 10 to 10 bad calls)

and the mavs Centers in game 3 were pushing morning in the 3rd, and the bad goaltending call vs shaq.

Dirk totally had an offnight in Game 4. I was also surprised that Avery Johnson attempted not to double-team Shaq for a few possessions in the 3rd quarter. And of course, Shaq took advantage of it and scored one-on-one against Diop and Dampier.

Alonzo Mourning's blocks were also emphatic, especially the one on Dirk's dunk attempt, woah! Jerry Stackhouse's flagrant foul in Shaq was cool too! Haha.

I think Dallas' totally shut-down Shaq with their double-teams on him. Games 5 & 6 will depend on Wade to help Miami win the title.

shaqstack_399_060615.jpg

Wooohoo!

shaq had a good game.

13 Rebounds;6-8 FG 75%;5-10 FT 50%;2 blocks;17 points on 29 mins

but wade had a great game.

this means nothing,if the heat lose next game they most take all 3 home games. dallas could lose if they know that means nothing, 4 games all home team wins. so i think mavs in7. at some point shaq will have a big game he will need to.

who got more lucky Stackhouse or the heat when wade stopped shaq from getting up?

shaq hand is the size of Stackhouse's face ;)

lol, KzR we joined neowin a year 2 days diff. and i have about 200 more post

Dallas has to come up with an answer to Wade to at least slow him down and they also have to make their wide open shots. I remember yesterday in the second quarter, Griffin rebounded the ball three times in the same offensive possession and Dallas went 0-4 all from 3's in that possession. To me, that's a lack of banging in shots when they are wide open that pretty much dictated the game.

Dallas has to rely less on 3's and more on attacking the basket.

I dont think their will be anyone that will be able to stop Wade. No matter what they do, it wont be enough. He can drive to the basket at will. He could seriously score on every possesion if he wanted. Thats what ****es me off so much about him, he could go for 40 every night, be he gets a decent shot, then passes off to one of the bum forwards. The only thing dallas can do is stop everyone else, and just dont even worry about wade, because hes going to score no matter what, especially when they are at home, or if they try to hurt him with some cheap foul.

Who ever said they swallowed their wistles at the end of the game, you are so full of ****. I have never seen so many damn offensive fouls since i watched a duke game. Dallas had 24 fouls, Miami had 26, Dallas had 1 technical fould, Miami had 4. In the fourth quarter Dallas had 5 fouls, and Miami had 7.

Did you even watch it?

Stackhouse suspension, he will not be in game 5, thats good for the heat. but i know he did a hard foul(to get shaq suspensed i bet)but he shouldnt get suspened.

Well if they are going to suspend other players for the exact same thing, they for sure have to do it here. Especially in a high profile game as this, and it dosnt help that it was on a fast break, also it being on the largest player in the league, and if you are going to knock O'Neal out like that, its going to take alot of force, which is alot more force then should be needed on any play, period.

shaq is a big man, and it takes alot of force but its like if someone hit wade in the face and wade fall they wouldnt call anything, its no the amount of force but the intent, shaq did hit him in the face he may have want to take shaq out,is that the ? and if so did he try to take out shaq? its not how bad but how over need is it or over kill.

In my opinion, this suspension was over the top. Shaq was running at full speed and Stackhouse did what every player does, which is foul the player on his way up. The reason why Shaq fell was because he was running at top speed and so was Stackhouse, hence why he fell.

It kinda sucks that only like 3 or 4 people on this whole damn site actually care about basketball. The sports section on neowin kinda sucks, but i guess thats to be expected. As is with most sites on the internet, becuase oddly people who use computers alot dont usually follow sports.

strange

Hopefully the Heat wrap it up tonight... This is coming from a die hard Knicks fan, but I am all about Shaq getting another ring without Kobe, and DW is the real deal. You have to love his game if you are a fan of the sport itself.

With that said, the Mav's are also fun as all hell to watch. Dirk is also the real deal, but he is looking like a little girl the way the Heat's defense is man handling him... Still they run up and down the court with the best of them, and it is without a doubt entertaining to watch..

So, I am hoping that after tonight, Dirk can listen to all the David Hasselhoff he wants, cause like Charles and Kenny say, the Mavs are Going Fishing soon enough...

I truly believe that even though the last two games are at home for the Mavs, at this point it is more a mental game than anything else. The Heat have seen that they can beat the Mavs, they are only one game away instead of two, so I think the Heat will pull it off, even if it is in Game 7, and even if it is barely...

    • Apple has clarified Series 9 was left off the watchOS 27 compatibility list by mistake.
    • Signal accuses UK government of using child safety as cover for mass surveillance by David Uzondu Recently, the UK's Home Office announced a sweeping set of proposals to make Britain the "first country in the world" where children cannot share or view nude photos on their smart devices, an initiative that authorities claim will protect children from online predators and combat pornography. In response, Signal believes that while the government must keep children "safe" and "protected," it should do so through social services and education, not by "surveillance, funding cuts, and cover-ups." The company called the plan "dystopian" and warned that it violates everyone's fundamental right to privacy, arguing that scanning on the presumption of nudity will only strengthen the market dominance and data control of giant corporations like Apple and Google. The statement continues by accusing the government of hiding its true intentions under the guise of child safety. Signal argues that the Home Office is building an invisible surveillance infrastructure that remains ripe for exploitation by future administrations and authoritarian regimes. According to the company, this aggressive approach completely ignores the actual needs of young people, such as properly funded schools and mental health services. Tech companies like Apple and Google have a three-month window to implement these mandatory device-level filters across the United Kingdom. If these tech firms refuse to comply with the mandate, the government will pass emergency legislation to force them to comply, threatening massive fines and even going after the CEOs of these companies with criminal charges. The technology will work by blocking explicit images directly on the operating system of all smartphones and tablets by default. This system monitors the device camera and third-party apps to intercept nudity before anyone can upload or send the image. Adults can still view explicit content, but only after completing a strict age verification check to unlock their devices. Several bodies like the NSPCC and Barnardo's praised the Home Office's decision, arguing that device-level intervention stops the cycle of grooming before it starts. The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) also supported the policy, claiming that tech companies can implement on-device checks "without threatening privacy or collecting any data."
    • Did you watch the keynote? It is way beyond what is described in this article. Looks interesting. Now it is time for them to deliver unlike what happened in 24.
    • It pretty much has to be compatible with MS Office or it is going nowhere. The rest of the world runs office including Europe. If it is not compatible it will not survive.
    • Incredible deal gets you free NVMe 512GB SSD with AMD AM5 B850 motherboard for only $150 by Sayan Sen Earlier this week we covered the story of an interesting PC case wherein you can build two full-size computers inside it as in it can house and run an AMD and an Intel system simultaneously. Speaking of building PCs, these are hard times to make one for sure as prices are often very high except during flash sales or discounts. If you are in the market for a 1080p gaming PC then Nvidia's 8GB RTX 5060 Ti is currently on sale for just $330 and you get the latest James Bond game too, for free. Speaking of which, right now there is another incredible sale going on as we can get a free 512 GB NVMe SSD from TeamGroup in the form of the G50 alongside the purchase of an AMD B850 socket AM5 motherboard for only $150 (purchase link under the specs table down below). Getting an AM5 motherboard now in 2026 will be a wise investment for sure, especially since AMD confirmed its commitment to support the socket till at least 2029. The MSI PRO B850M-P WIFI is a micro-ATX motherboard that is compatible with AMD Ryzen 9000 series processors. Since it is AM5, the motherboard works with DDR5 memory and includes MSI’s Memory Boost technology, along with EXPO and XMP support. Connectivity features include built-in Wi-Fi 7 paired with a 5G LAN solution. The board offers a PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot with MSI’s EZ M.2 Shield Frozr II thermal solution, that is said to help maintain SSD performance by providing ample cooling against overheating.
