I don't think slapping text and calling it a day would be worth 150$. Joe could have done that himself if that was the case.

if you'll notice i spent time on other logo's, however someone said just the text would look good, so i quickly did that. maybe you should read the whole thread before making comments. thus the "as suggested" comment.

i'll also remind you that some of the most recognizable logo's in the world are JUST text. Ie. Sony, Coca-cola, Subway, the list goes on.

Pi, I'll say it again, that's very Neowinnish, and I really think you should consider dropping it. I'm not sure Neobond would be very happy about someone selling a logo which is extremely similar to NWs for $150. I could be wrong, but that's just my opinion. I know I would be.

I read the posts, but just happened to qutoe your post rather than the "as suggested" one. So don't jump to conclusions.

Yes, some recognizable logos are just text, but most of them are short words or like Coca-Cola (if you don't consider it short), don't have a lot of different letters... 4 only for Coca-Cola. Short names are better recognizeble in type only because they are short and easy to remember. While long names require something to ballance it out and make for people remember it easily.

Besides, many logos that are just text, have undergone some sort of tweaking to the original font, if you will, before seeing the daylight. And many times it's a custom font anyway. Very seldom, if ever, you would see recognizable logos with just default font slapped. I would assume Sony could be one of those, but again, it's a short name and the original font could have been tweaked slightly to accommodate the needs.

I have been reading the thread. Now then:

Compare.

They are the EXACT SAME STYLE. Not "similar". Not "using elements of the logo". Just recreating someone elses idea, and changing it a tiny bit, to meet the circumstances.

I know he asked for something like that, but that's not "like", it's "the same", to all extents and purposes.

In order to stay on topic, I think one of the nicest logos so far was actually Pox's first submission. That wasn't half bad.

Let's try to post with a higher level of maturity, please.

[Thread Cleaned]

Barney

Sorry Barney i am man enough to apoligize.. but come on clean all the threads that lit the wick... all i ask is people read the threads, then comment.. if they were to do this, i would not have been upset.

Hey don't even go back to the first page, but only look up to the third post on this page... AND READ IT... hmm that seems to be from Superior Shine... the person that requested the logo... ah gee maybe its just me

Exactly what I was going to say... and personally I think P1Guy has killed it, that text looks terrible and the background gradient is much too obvious.

i think it's not P1 fault, the logo requester asked for a neowinia logo style, so he just did that.

Ya and i get a warning... wow how unfair is that. as i was upset to see the same people trying to put me down, and i was doing what i was asked for. But because of this, i will only try harder to ignore some posters :D life is way to short to argue with people :alien: Thanks for the support, at least someone here read the thread properly

You just don't get it. Go spread your lies somewhere else, I'm not willing to explain the same things over and over again to some random kid who hasn't got a clue.

You might know a lot about sausages and traditional korean castration techniques, but when it comes to design you should let the grown ups do the talking, OK? Weren't you that Photoshop-Filter-Maniac that kept ruining my logos? Nuff said, you're just out of your element. Accept it.

cybadelic, don?t get me wrong from what i have seen of your work, i like very much. My only point is, that you got on to somebody for doing a similar thing that you did once! THAT. was. All. No need to throw your rattle out your pram.

Kindly refrain from using those derogatory comments, as I am not insulting you! and I can assure you I am no ?random kid?

I don?t wish to turn this into some war, so lets just draw line under it and let the forum carry on with the topic in question.

Thanks.

as I am not insulting you!

Yes, you are. You are calling me a thief, because apparently I copied the Chrysler-logo, which simply isn't true. And yes, you are some random kid, otherwise you wouldn't call me a thief for no reason.

i never once mentioned "theif". But you said it, so if the shoe fits! Almost everyone who saw your logo in that forum said to you that it looks uncannily like the Chrysler logo!

And again, NO, im an not a random kid. I am a 24 year old graduate who has just finished university, an who as a very high profile interview a week on Thursday. Warhead electronic design engineer. Trust me, random kids DO NOT get flown 400 miles and put up in accommodation just so they can attend a high profile job like that.

Why not deal with these issues in a PM and let the topic starter have a clean topic? you are only ruining future negotiations by speking freely like this. There is no need to speak so openly about sensitive issues such as this one.

    • Owing to the nature of Windows feature enablement updates, it was distributed over Windows Update services as a complete system upgrade rather than as an ordinary cumulative update
    • Microsoft confirms Windows 11 26H2, urges IT admins to prepare for release by Usama Jawad Windows 11 typically follows an annual update cycle, but Microsoft recently broke that tradition a bit by releasing a "26H1" version in the first half of this year as a "scoped" build for select new silicon PCs only. This version was not available for customers using 24H2 and 25H2 builds, as Microsoft is busy preparing version 26H2 for them, confirmed officially for the first time. In a Windows IT Pro blog, Microsoft has urged IT admins to prepare for the upcoming release of Windows 11 version 26H2. The company has confirmed that this will be a small enablement package (eKB) that will simply light up certain disabled features that are already present in the operating system's code base. This means that the "refined" Windows update and deployment experience will be simpler and quicker, with minimal disruptions, as the feature update will simply toggle a few flags rather than performing a complete replacement. Microsoft has explained that this is all possible because the standard Windows 11 releases share the same servicing branch and hence, the same source code. However, this also means that Windows 11 26H1 users won't be able to upgrade to 26H2 as that is a different branch, but this is something we have known for a while now. Similar to previous annual feature updates, Windows 11 26H2 will offer the following support cycles: 24 months of support for Home, Pro, Pro EDU, and Pro for Workstations editions 36 months of support for Enterprise, Education, IoT Enterprise, and Enterprise Multi-session editions Microsoft has not confirmed a concrete release date for Windows 11 26H2, but noted that it is "coming soon". If we go by the ongoing release cadence, we can expect it to begin rolling out in early October 2026. As such, IT admins have been encouraged to begin validating Windows Insider releases in the Experimental Channel, plan rollout rings, and strategize the utilization of their existing deployment tools.
    • Windows 11 gets new audio improvements in the latest builds by Taras Buria Today's Experimental builds (26H1 and Future Platforms, formerly Canary) pack several audio-related improvements. If your device is enrolled in the Experimental Channel (26H1), you can download build 28120.2315, while those in the Future Platforms version have build 29613.1000 to try. Here is what is new in build 29613.1000: [Audio] Following up on our previous improvements, we’re making some more adjustments to Settings > System > Sounds based on your feedback. Namely, we’ve updated the “All sound devices” page so: You now have the ability to change default devices from this page. Each of the devices displayed on this page now has a little volume meter next to it to show if there is audio actively playing. We’ve adjusted the page design slightly so now you can filter whether you’re viewing input or output devices. We’ve added toggles so you can choose if you want to hide or show disabled, disconnected, and unplugged devices on this page. We’ve also updated the input and output audio properties page for devices in Settings to now include jack information for those that need it. And here is the changelog for build 28120.2315: This update includes a small number of minor bug fixes and improvements. [Accessibility] This update improves caption style responsiveness by redrawing captions immediately for caption style changes. If no current caption is visible, a sample caption string is displayed. [Audio] This update improves the reliability of the inbox HD Audio driver. You can find the official release notes for build 28120.2315 here and for build 29613.1000 here.
    • I agree with what I think you are saying, just not in the way you are saying it. Like any tool, the amount it represents your work is perorational to the effort you put into it. It is similar to why 2nd grade math students learning to add and subtract are not allowed to use calculators, but a high-school calculous student is. For the 2nd grader, that tool would completely replace the work they are doing, for the calculous student the same tool allows them to work far more effectively while in no way replacing their effort or knowable. If you spend 30 seconds writing a prompt, then the image that comes out is no more "yours" than if you found the same image with a Google Image search. However, many of these generative tools also support highly iterative processes that allow back and forth, and merging generated images with photos or human created images. I am sure you would agree that a human spending hours of time working on a project, even if AI was involved in the process, still reflects that human's work.
