That's what I was thinking. I think he is dumb if he didn't understand TDK. What's to understand? It is a mob film. A great crime drama. What's so hard to understand?

If he is talking about Harvey Dent becoming Two-Face, that's pretty easy to understand. Dent was upset because Batman saved him instead of Rachel. He wanted revenge for what happened to him.

We don't really need to know what the tipping point was for the Joker. We know that he has had a pretty screwed up life, probably starting with his childhood. It seems pretty clear to me that he and his father had issues. And he eventually went mad, if he wasn't truly born that way to begin with. Maybe his mother was addicted to drugs while she was pregnant and that helped screw him up? I don't know want to know what happened. I'm happy not knowing.

I thought what he said was funny as hell. Especially when you consider Batman is DC Comics and Iron Man is Marvel comics. Looks like he's a Marvel fan :) (I am too, Batman is one of the very few DC characters I like).

Also, maybe it's just me, but I didn't take what he said about the movie seriously. It seems more like he was mocking it because of the rival comic companies. So maybe you guys shouldn't take what he said so seriously either?

Joker's origin is unknown, and by his telling different versions of his scars tells me that none of the ones he told were true and the he probably doesn't really remember himself due to his psychotic state.

To me it seemed that Downy Jr.'s comments on the TDK came across as trying to brush off a far superior movie in comparison to his. I thoroughly enjoyed Iron Man, but it wasn't as smart, clever, and gripping as TDK.

To me it seemed that Downy Jr.'s comments on the TDK came across as trying to brush off a far superior movie in comparison to his. I thoroughly enjoyed Iron Man, but it wasn't as smart, clever, and gripping as TDK.

I'm not even talking about when he mentioned where the scars came from. In the scene where he crashes Bruce's party for Dent, he tells an older man, "I hated my father." No mention of the scars there, yet he mentions his father again. We may never know where the scars really came from, but I think that statement clearly showed he had issues with his father.

Just my opinion though :)

I give you that, it was a quality film unlike the last three starwars (or first three depending on how you look at it).

Also, I was joking about the 6/10 thing.

True, and about his origin, I meant the character Joker, not just TDK's version.

Knowing RDJ's attitude - I think exactly the same!

As for Riddler? I found the character to be too close to the Joker in theme (a LOT lighter though). Nolan has said he doesn't want the "campy" characters. He has also said that he doesn't want to do another Joker (he considers the character a one-shot deal - nowhere else to take him - an icon but not with staying power).

I'd like to see some of the more undevelopped characters, the less "gimmicky" ones. Turn the Batman franchise into a mob/crime one, not a comic book again.

I'd quite like to see Mr Freeze be TDKified, he's a genuinely cold character and could be very disturbing if given half a chance. The character definitely deserves more than the camp offering Arnie gave us.

I would really like to see what Nolan makes of Mr. Freeze (Y) .

I'd like to see Depp as the riddler but since he's so closely tied with Tim Burton I doubt he'd do it.

If they do Mr Freeze, Timothy Olyphant would be a good shout for him I reckon.

So many villains, so little time :(

Yea, I very much agree. Riddler has always been very similar to Joker. I mean Jim Carrey could have easily been the Joker with the exact same performance. But I still think Nolan and co. could rebuild him into a very interesting character, without appearing like a gimmicky comic book character.

I'd defiantly like to see Casey Affleck in the role.

      Or... just use Bitwarden. Free, and has on-prem option as well. Works both on desktop and mobile, wherever you are. The age of local password files is over.

      I actually got to use one of those so called "backup codes" once. It was for a customer, I choose the backup code option, and by the grace of god, they actually hade them printed out. Imagine my surprise, when after using the backup code, Google then told use we had to enter a code they just sent to the gmail address we currently did not have access to. I was not amused, Google backup codes should be the end all get out of jail free card, because you had to have access to the account to even get them.

      On the topic of being locked out of a service. Recently two different friends of mine got locked out of their Google accounts. Both were hack attempts and one of them is waiting 30 days before he can get back in. He had backup codes and MFA but not a passkey. It was a browser token hack. Anyhow he has to wait 30 days for the dispute or whatever to end. The other person only had a password and is screwed losing all of the email, docs and years of photos. Google won’t help her at all. Her fault because she had no backup/recovery setup. Enable passkeys if possible. Also do NOT use browser based password managers. If using a cloud service make sure it is one you can fully sync to one of your devices so you can back it up. Like a PC or Mac with some backup drive plugged into it. Google is the worst to use IMHO. You can’t sync your photos at all. You have to use the “Take Out” service which is manual and takes days. That service strips the meta data from your photos. Also Google Docs synced to a device are useless without a Google accounts. MS Office/Libre Office is not going to open a link to a Google doc to a dead account.
