^ This film had more hype because Batman Begins was so good. Heath's death helped, but there was far more hype before that had happened. The 3rd movie will have even more hype. He will be able to top it, lets just hope Warner doesn't try and fast-track it and lets him take a few years to make sure its perfect. Considering its success compared to other movies, I have a feeling they will let him do whatever he wants.

I have a different feeling. I hope you're right, but studios do tend to be greedy and it wouldn't surprise me to see them say if he isn't ready in a year to start production they had it off to someone else. I hope not, but I wouldn't be shocked.

Of course it could be in his previous contracts with Begins and Knight that he gets to decide what happens. He may have forced that after Begins was so successful and now he gets to decide when/what/where, etc.

^ He was trying to breath, not lick it lol

Also Hurmoth, considering how Warner is now letting comic movies (encouraging even) to take a more real, darker route than before solely because of TDK, I think its safe to say they will listen to his ideas next time around. If more movies take the TDK approach then not only will Warner have a nice pile of cash, but we will have some badass movies. Superman in Nolanverse? Count me in.

Also Rappy, I loved the viral marketing they did. I'm sure they will keep it up again. Little depressing talking about it considering we won't even hear anything official for another year or 2.

On the same note though, making movies like this raises the bar. Hopefully we will have less "disaster movies" but who am I kidding?

Less movies like Scary Movie would be nice :p

On a side note just got this poster in nice hi-res! (Warning 4mb)

Man I love the posters they have. Whoever does their marketing and advertising is damn good.

Very true.

I watched this film AGAIN in the cinema last night and I still enjoyed it, the ending speech was still incredible and I still jumped when the fake batman swings againsts the mayors office window :p

I get 2 free cinema tickets a week so I've finally convinced my mum and sister to go see it, I guess that'll be the real test of it's greatness, my mum usually falls asleep at the cinema!!!

Will Christopher Nolan Do a Third Batman?

While the internet is going crazy with casting rumors that aren't true for Christopher Nolan's possible third Batman movie, the director himself is on vacation as The Dark Knight approaches $500 million domestically.

The Hollywood Reporter has published an interesting article about the film's marketing and the deaths of both Heath Ledger and Conway Wickliffe before the film's release. The piece ends with a bit on the third installment.

And Warners and Legendary are both interested in doing a third in the series, but all involved say it will be up to Nolan to come to them with a story and a plan.

"There are a lot of us who emotionally would love to do it," Roven says. "But it's really Chris' call. Chris is the kind of filmmaker who just doesn't think about the next movie before he has completely finished the movie he is working on."

For now, Nolan is taking a well-earned vacation.

Says Roven, "When he comes back, we will see how he feels."

We will be waiting patiently...

Actually, I think Cher may be a great choice. It isn't conventional and that's what Nolan seems to be going for. Meaning, it isn't like the previous Batman films. I'm excited to see what she brings to the table. Like her crazy hair
Isn't she like 60? Then again, look at the new Indiana Jones.

    • Looks like no official TBW rating, which should be a required listing in my opinion for sites like Amazon (hell, put it on the box too.)
    • I think I understood the article fine. Online password managers open users up to more possibilities of getting hacked, and due to KeePass being offline and local it reduces the idea of getting hacked. If someone chooses to put their database online they're kinda missing the point. With regards to the idea of the on-prem idea, I would have two issues. I'm not sure about the first issue, but I wouldn't be surprised about them offering a cloud storage for the passwords that most wouldn't bother to switch off, regardless of if they went for on-prem or not. The second issue is that the on-prem solution for Bitwarden costs money, whereas KeePass is free and open-source (as far as I am aware). The article points out how to sync the database between devices, and I recognise that deficiency in security. But it isn't a necessity. So both services can offer a same idea, but one is free and the other isn't...choices, choices.... But to each their own.

    • I am not surprised because life is the product of a lot of biochemical and physical processes that releases various energies as a by-product. The only thing new here is the detection of these photon emissions. The researches noted this "glow" is not a metaphysical one. They don't even immediately end when one is dead. Things like fires, light bulbs, and on a bigger scale stars release a lot more "light" and they are hardly alive.
