[OFFICIAL] Xbox Live Arcade Thread

come on arcade live managers, 800 points is no trifling matter...i want E4 but...

You think 800 points is expensive now? That's been the price of the vast majority of "non-classic" titles on XBLA. Seems a good price to me too, at about 1/7th the cost of an average retail game. If you can't afford an arcade game at that price every now and then, how do you manage full games*?

* And bear in mind this is all coming from someone who rents most of his games, and the rest I buy and then sell on for a minimal loss after finishing with them. :p

Personally I didn't like E4, I guess I just didn't understand it. Seemed to be you just press A and cause a chain reaction to make a beat :s :/

Not sure if I'm going to buy Lumines Live, the price cut is very tempting but I already have both 1 and 2 for my PSP. Hmm..decisions decisions..

The game was fun for me, I wouldn't mind buying it if I had some Microsoft Points.

Definitely getting E4 when I have the cash. Looks beautiful.

Same here. It's on my list of XBLA games to buy one day when I've run out of other games I want to play, right along with Puzzle Quest. Of course, this could be some time away, but I'm sure it will happen eventually!

Lumines has had a permanent (AFAIK) price-cut down to 800 points (was previously 1200). But beware you only get the challenge mode and a few other bits for that. Additional content costs extra, to varrying degrees.

Frogger I think was only reduced for a limited time so it's probably back up to the original price by now.

discs of tron would be nice.

pabuk, i thought those prices were always permanent, thanks for the info. frogger i was craving but it'll have to wait...i don't like spending real money on live arcade, if it's 400 points or less i can sooth my buyer's remorese with ease, anything more and it's a problem.

Mutant Storm Empire will hit Wednesday for 800 points.

OMG, I hope its that flash game thats so addictive :D

Wow, I thought Switchball was a lot of fun! What did you guys think? I might consider buying it, I just wish it was like 600MSP instead of 800MSP

BTW, PureLegend: Great job keeping this updated and all, but do you think you can alphabetize the list per category. And add new items at the top of the list until eventually transitioning them down? Kind of like how the Demo thread is set up, I think it makes it much clearer. Eh?

Sounds like it could take a while :p

What does anyone else think?

    • The level of stupidity at Google and Microsoft is beyond belief. All they are doing by killing this is forcing people to jump over to Firefox and ditch them all together, therefore giving Firefox the market boost it needs to finally crush them all in the end.
