Something tells me those of you that have received yours already should have listed the first letter of your last name. Maybe?

LOL-

I just got to thinking, someone should build a nice US map showing the geo locations of each delivery along with their date and the respective warehouse it shipped from, So we can watch it zig-zag across the country. I bet it would look like a nice mess of tracks by mid week next week.

I have to admit though, that I was a bit dissapointed to learn that those of us who signed up for both and then submitted their W9 form (in my case 3 days after my email due to a busy fax), that we will be the ones who have to wait longer than those who only did the Vista offer. I was really hoping to have it before the actual Release to the Public. Oh well...

Okay I just want to make sure that I am on the right page..

With the Vista Business edition I got.. I can only install it ONE computer right? So I CANNOT have it on both my laptop and desktop? If I want to install it on my laptop, i have to buy A NEW copy right?

LOL-

WHOA! What are you talking about? I did both, got both email confirmations, and read nothing about faxing a W9 form to anywhere? I presumed that vista would show up with the form and instructions and then I'd receive office after completing that.

PLEASE explain? i'm freaking out now I won't get either one...........!!!!

Since I can't search the forums with less than three characters, does anyone know how the W-9 situation is handled? I did both offers, so is M$ going to mail me a blank W-9 or what? I have not received anything as of yet.

Okay, now I read the post above mine stating something about an emailed W-9 and faxing it back. I never got any other email other than two emails stating I would get Vista and Office.

^ two copies? feelin greedy eh?

got mine! NJ/NY Area

finally i can stop checking this thread 400 times a week

I'm in NY/NJ area too, I gave my work address in NY as shipping address. However on the powertogether web site they still show me status as "once we have confirmed....." I got an email from them last week saying they will be shipping me Vista copy. Can you please tell me what was the shipping status on powertogether was for you ?

    • Tim Cook: "The US over time began to stop having as many vocational kinds of skills." What's the point of wasting time getting those skills if you can't get a job with them? Good Lord, maybe he and his cohort of CEO's who exported all these jobs to China should just shut the f**k up :D

    • Closed-loop cooling and a custom 800G network protocol let the $7.3B campus run as one AI training machine. Microsoft confirmed June 23, 2026, that its Fairwater campus in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, is fully operational — and the engineering behind it makes the facility something fundamentally different from every data center that came before it. Where conventional cloud infrastructure racks up general-purpose servers and parcels out workloads to each one independently, Fairwater links hundreds of thousands of NVIDIA GB200 Blackwell GPUs into a single, coherent cluster using a two-story building design, 800-gigabit-per-second Ethernet fabric, and a proprietary networking protocol co-developed with OpenAI and NVIDIA. The result, according to Microsoft, is the closest thing to a purpose-built AI supercomputer that any company has ever placed in commercial operation. https://www.techtimes.com/articles/319205/20260627/microsoft-opens-fairwater-wisconsin-ai-campus-runs-one-supercomputer-via-800g-ethernet.htm
