WHOA! What are you talking about? I did both, got both email confirmations, and read nothing about faxing a W9 form to anywhere? I presumed that vista would show up with the form and instructions and then I'd receive office after completing that.

PLEASE explain? i'm freaking out now I won't get either one...........!!!!

I had to look at the bottom of the email to find the instructions.

And here is the email copy I recieved with the W-9 stuff:

Dear Keith:

Congratulations.You've learned how to leverage the 2007 Microsoft Office system to enable to workers to get connected to the information they need. And now your free, full-licensed copy of the Microsoft Office Professional 2007 is on its way.

Please be patient. We cannot ship your gift until Microsoft Office Professional 2007 is released to manufacturing. Your free software should arrive in six to eight weeks after RTM. If it doesn't arrive after eight weeks, please contact a customer service representative at Windows Vista and Office Kit Order Admin. Be sure to have your confirmation number XXXXXX on hand.

If you are eligible for and have registered to receive both the Windows Vista Business offer and Microsoft Office Professional 2007 offer, you must complete a W-9 (Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification) form. To make this easier, go to this online form and fax or mail the completed form using the information provided.       Did you go into settings > engines and switch some more stuff on. The more you enable the slower it will get but the better the results will be

      Stop asking people that. It's a "No True Scotsman" argument in that you are attempting to discredit the opinions of a person by Attacking the Messenger. The reason that these are logical fallacies is the TRUTH is based on facts as supported by evidence. Nothing else. So, always debate the facts with evidence to reach the truth. Once you learn to do this, you'll be able to recognize when people are fearmongering and lying to you for their own selfish ends.

      It doesn't matter if you didn't directly hear it from person X or Y.
