What license terms are attached to the Vista Business that we're getting? I sort of want to install it on my current computer to play with it a little but I am planning on retiring it in the next few months when I build a new one. Would I be able to transfer Vista to the new computer later on or do the standard OEM license terms apply?

if you are only getting office you do not need to send a w9 form in right? A post a few pages ago confused me on this. I live in Michigan and got nothing yet.

i'm in MI too (West MI) and still waiting for my Office key.....if you only registered for office you don't need to fill out a w-9. we just have to wait. please pm me if you get your copy, i'll do the same if i get mine first

Awesome, just got mine in Virginia!

My roommate almost freaked me out, though. I asked him after work if he'd checked the mail, he said yeah, I asked about a large yellow envelope; naturally I became excited and asked him where it was. He said he thought it was some spam from Microsoft and had thrown it away! I was halfway to the garbage can when he threw the package at me and started laughing. Close call on that one. :p

Do you guys know what the website it where we download Office?? Is it specific per person or the same address for everyone?

As far as I know, the link is just the same public download link (for the Trial) and then they give you the cd key to enter ...hence turning the trial into the full version.

I've just installed Vista Business on my computer. I figured I'd check out Anytime Upgrade and I'm having some major problems with it. I open it up, click "Upgrade to windows vista ultimate", click "begin upgrade process", and then I'm taken to a website that tells me to select my retailer. I click any random one (since I got my copy of vista through MSDNAA at my school) and then I'm taken to a page that says tells me to enter a username and password....

I'm lost right there. I was under the impression I was going to have to go to a site to enter my CC info and then just upgrade to Ultimate. I don't have any username or password. Anyone tried this yet with any success?

So I was reading this thread (and have been routinely) looking to see if people were still getting them. Yes, and I was thinking where is mine??! Then I called my downstairs phone and asked if the mail was checked today and it wasn't. I said I was just waiting for something and then they said a package from Microsoft came YESTERDAY. I was like "omg!!" and hung-up and ran downstairs. Yep, it came :D ;).

Mine came yesterday and I'm in Overland Park too.

I did the Vista offer. Just checked my mail today, it was there (didn't check it for a few days so not sure when it arrived)

I live in Overland Park, KS

Didn't do the Office offer, but feeling stupid that I didn't!

i havent recieved my copy of office yet either. i finished the online webcasts before they soldout. when i finished my second, they were sold out. but i finished all three and looked in mystuff and itsays ill be getting my copy in 6 to 8 weeks following release. i guess i should still hold tight right? by the way,im in allentown pa.

I got my copy of Vista Business through MSNDAA at my school. I had two options: 5 Cds or 1 DVD. I signed up for both and d/l'd and installed the dvd. I was given two different cd keys for the two options.

Could i use the dvd i burned and install vista on my other computer and use the key from the 5 cds or am i gonna have to actually d/l and install from the cds to use the key.

Sorry for the lack of spelling and punctuation and grammar and all i'm pretty good into a botlte of everclear right now

    • Zen Browser 1.21.4b by Razvan Serea Zen Browser is a privacy-focused, open-source web browser built on Mozilla Firefox, offering users a secure and customizable browsing experience. It emphasizes privacy by blocking trackers, ads, and ensuring your data isn't collected. With Zen Mods, users can enhance their browser experience with various customization options, including features like split views and vertical tabs. The browser is designed for efficiency, providing fast browsing speeds and a lightweight interface. Zen Browser prioritizes user control over the browsing experience, offering a minimal yet powerful alternative to traditional web browsers while keeping your online activity private. Zen Browser’s DRM limitation Zen Browser currently lacks support for DRM-protected content, meaning streaming services like Netflix and HBO Max are inaccessible. This is due to the absence of a Widevine license, which requires significant costs and is financially unfeasible for the developer. Additionally, applying for this license would require Zen to be part of a larger company, similar to Mozilla or Brave. Therefore, DRM-protected media won't be supported in Zen Browser for the foreseeable future. Zen Browser offers features that improve user experience, privacy, and customization: Privacy-Focused: Blocks trackers and minimizes data collection. Automatic Updates: Keeps the browser updated with security patches. Zen Mods: Customizable themes and layouts. Workspaces: Organize tabs into different workspaces. Compact Mode: Maximizes screen space by minimizing UI elements. Zen Glance: Quick website previews. Split Views: View multiple tabs in the same window. Sidebar: Access bookmarks and tools quickly. Vertical Tabs: Manage tabs vertically. Container Tabs: Separate browsing sessions. Fast Profile Switcher: Switch between profiles easily. Tab Folders: Organize tabs into folders. Customizable UI: Personalize browser interface. Security Features: Inherits Firefox’s robust security. Fast Performance: Lightweight and optimized for speed. Zen Mods Customization: Deep customization with mods. Quick Access: Easy access to favorite websites. Open Source: Built on Mozilla Firefox with community collaboration. Community-Driven: Active development and feedback from users. GitHub Repository: Contribute and review the source code. • I was using searxng for about a year , self hosted, but results were starting to timeout and eventually it became unusable so I switched to degoog. Much better for my needs, more polished and add-ons like maps and calculations etc

    • Hello, I am not as familiar with AMD CPUs as I am with Intel's, but as I understand it, that's a mid-range CPU from about three years ago.  I would think it to be fine for everyday casual-type use.  A larger SSD might be better, but with storage prices these days that's a decision that has to be carefully thought about.
