Mac OS X 'Leopard'-related Discussion

Yep, i have a mighty mouse and it lags so much if its been sleeping for a while. I just keep moving the mouse for about 20 seconds and it comes back to normal.

I get the same problem too, and what I do to get the cursor back is to press Cmd+Tab, and for some reason it shows up.

I don't know!

I showed you my specs...

It was a joke. Your computer won't have a flux capacitator.

And it's against the EULA to run OS X on non-Apple branded hardware. In other words, you can only legally run it on an Apple computer, which is limited to: iMac; Mac mini; Mac Pro; MacBook; MacBook Pro.

If I put an Apple sticker on my Dell will that count? :p

you have no idea how many laptops at work i have seen with apple stickers. dells hp acers toshibas, it's hilirious, i would look at them and be like... you wish

Hey everyone!

Any of you know if the installation disk in retail boxes has been updated to 10.5.1? Or does it ever get updated?

It doesn't get updated. It's still 10.5, and will remain that way untill 10.6 (or whatever is next). It's easier to have each user download the dot releases instead of taking all the old 10.5 and replacing them with 10.5.1 discs.

When I bought my Macbook (original Core Duo back in August 06), it came with 10.4.6.

ever model revision they update the OS on the computers and match them on the OS disks my macbook when i bought it was 10.4.6 and some of the newest tigers ones at work have 10.4.10

I stand corrected then. Thanks for clearing that up. (Y)

My mates Leopard disc that arrived yesterday is 10.5.1, I guess as they roll out each revision they burn that onto the new discs and slowly but surly the 5.0 supply runs dry, a good tactic for keeping people up to date.

I know far too many people (mainly PC users) who're still running Windows XP SP0 and didnt even realise you had to update PCs, no doubt i'll be converting them to Mac users, just give me time
