Perhaps this is the mystery spot we start from.

Good, you're paying attention.

When the time is right, I'll ask you a question. For now, follow this trail to get the word it leads to.

TANLI

1. Mystery Spot

2. 5874.61 miles

3. 1049.62 miles

4. 1161.79 miles

5. 153.48 miles

6. 543.55 miles

7. 652.2 miles

8. 4909.96 miles

9. 548.42 miles

Physical presence not required.

remember its not what is my name?

its what, is, my, name

And if you enter something, the next page is signed "L.O.K.I", which may hint at this being the initial letters of the four names. She also mentions in the video 4 different characters, one of which is a "drama queen" (from General Hospital, I suppose?). So maybe you have to enter something like "Lorelei, Odessa, K????, I????"...

Her real name is Minae Noji so I don't think that will work.

Googling the word at the bottom of that page (TANLI) brings up a page explaining the TANLI navigation waypoint off the coast of Libya. I'm not sure if this means anything, but the coordinates are: 33? 30' 0N 11? 30' 0E.

Lemme know if that helps.

My wife did some research and came up with the following theory:

Lorelei - Folklore (German Folklore)

Odessa - History (Ukranian colony founded by Greece)

Kara - Stage Arts (Asian Comic, South Korea)

Irene - Physics (Physicist daughet of Marie Curie, also a town in South Africa)

I haven't tried to map out the coordinates but I'm hoping going from something like the TANLI waypoint following those dirs ends up at Iren:):) Either way that's our guess.

Following the directions from the Tanli waypoint off Libya, you end up at Giza, Egypt.

That is what I am looking at right now. Something that is pretty interesting is to google phi spiral and golden rectangle. The phi symbol and shapes that look like the golden rectangle are shown in the puzzles.

Im probably way off and someone at Microsoft is laughing at me right now.

May be way off base but..... Found the string "6B617251" in the find the words puzzle at

http://www.vanishingpointgame.com/more_answers

went back to find where I missed some white boxes and found this puzzle.Mean anything?

Those are hexadecimal digits. Take them in pairs of two for ASCII codes:

0x6B = 'k'

0x61 = 'a'

0x72 = 'r'

0x61 = 'a'

There's a Tanli city in China...mystery spot?

My thinking is that TANLI is a hint to the names of the spots which are distanced by the given distances. Starting at Seattle, I found that (T)irana, the capital of Albania is almost exactly the first distance away. The distance (T)irana -> (A)msterdam almost fits as well. But I don't know where to go from there. There are more distances than letters in TANLI, so maybe not all spots are given...

By now, I'm certain that many others have come to the same conclusion that I have:

Lorelei (murmuring rock, Loki, all that stuff from the pregame)

Odessa (Odessa Obelast Coat of Arms)

Kara (from Hex 6B6171261 after solving the crossword from more_answers)

Inari (Inari, Japan, where you get to from TanLi, China--mainland, where the legend of the Seven Brothers comes from)

So that's my best guess, unless someone can come up with a program L.O.K.I.--in the great tradition of D.A.R.R.Y.L., W.O.P.R., H.A.L., and all those other great sci-fi flicks.... you can post here if you find one :D

Thanks for the fun time, everybody! I personally think that whoever wins should request that AMD carve "Neowin.net" on the chip, too!

That's gotta be it. I tried following the directions from Fremont Studios, and ended up near Flint, Michigan. Then I tried the directions from the Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz and ended up somewhere on the Mississippi/Alabama border. And no towns that start with "I" to be seen.

Hmm, sounds plausible but I just don't understand why they would give us "Mystery Spot" as the starting point, only to spell out the answer (loudly I might add) as "TANLI" on the same page. Seems counter-intuitive to me.

From a Previous Neowin Post:

Following the directions from the Tanli waypoint off Libya, you end up at Giza, Egypt.

From a Previous Neowin Post:

My thought is that the mystery point lies in the map of the pyramids of giza from box 3.

I also believe that to get to the location, the calculation must take into account the value of pi. Pi has played too large a role in this game for it to not be considered. I don't know the formula, but certainly someone here does...

From a Previous Neowin Post:

First off, what is the Vanishing Point (mathmaticaly speaking.) Just an idea, but I'm going with the Golden Ratio, this is the ratio used in perfect spirals, the construction of The Great Pyramid of Giza, and is also (wait for it) the ratio between the Sun, Moon, and Earth during a full solar eclipse.

From a Previous Neowin Post:

In the Video Loki posted on YouTube the word "formula" flashes 4 or 5 times and is easily seen at the beginning of the video. Maybe the mathmatical equation or formula she gave us in her pre-game bio is needed for something. I know I seem to be stuck on this math thing, but I really do think it leads us somewhere.

My Post:

This could explain how the TANLI fits in with the coordinates to lead you to Giza, which in turn takes you back to the puzzle clues to find the end answer.

Several posts have mentioned that one word should be the answer, when it is most probable that each of the 4 leads you to one word each, making the final answer all 4 words for the 4 names.

From the info so far: Lorelei, Odessa, Kara, I ?

I am also for Team Neowin on the AMD chip.

It supports magnet links, .torrent files, resume data, sequential downloading, per-file priorities, and even imports from qBittorrent. Power users benefit from integrated RSS auto-download with regex filtering, duplicate detection, and automatic tracker lists from Stremio. Streaming is seamless thanks to auto-detected players like VLC and IINA. A full WebUI enables remote control, while integrations with Plex, Jellyfin, and Emby automate library updates. With themes, speed scheduling, system-tray alerts, and cross-platform support for Windows, Linux, and macOS, BATorrent delivers a polished, high-performance torrenting experience. BATorrent features: Core .torrent file and magnet link support Resume data — picks up where you left off after restart Import torrents from qBittorrent Create .torrent files from any file or folder Sequential download mode Per-file priority control (skip, low, normal, high) Seed ratio limits with auto-pause DHT, PEX, UPnP, NAT-PMP RSS Auto-Download Subscribe to RSS feeds — automatically download new torrents as they appear Regex filters — match only what you want (e.g. 1080p|720p, S01E\d+) Per-feed settings — custom save path, check interval (5–1440 min), enable/disable Auto-download — matched items are downloaded automatically in the background Supports magnet links, .torrent URLs, and tags Tray notifications when items are auto-downloaded Duplicate detection — never downloads the same item twice Stremio Stremio Addon System pre-installed — works out of the box Auto tracker list from ngosang/trackerslist Streaming Play while downloading — stream video files before the download is complete Supports mp4, mkv, avi, mov, wmv, flv, webm, m4v, ts Auto-detects installed players (VLC, IINA, system default) VPN & Privacy Interface binding — lock torrent traffic to a specific network interface (e.g. tun0) Auto VPN detection — identifies VPN interfaces (tun, tap, WireGuard, Mullvad, NordLynx, ProtonVPN) Kill switch — automatically pauses all torrents if the VPN interface drops Auto-resume — resumes only the torrents paused by the kill switch when VPN reconnects Proxy support — SOCKS5 and HTTP proxy with optional authentication IP filtering — load P2P blocklists to block unwanted IP ranges Protocol encryption (enabled / forced / disabled) WebUI Remote management — control torrents from any browser at http://localhost:8080 REST API with JSON responses Add torrents via magnet link or .torrent upload Pause, resume, remove torrents remotely View peers and files per torrent Dark theme matching the desktop app HTTP Basic Auth with SHA-256 password hashing Configurable port and remote access (localhost vs 0.0.0.0) Interface 3 themes: Dark, Light, Midnight (bat/vampire aesthetic) Real-time speed graph Detailed panel with tabs: General, Peers, Files, Trackers Filter bar: search by name, filter by state (Active, Downloading, Seeding, Paused, Finished) Drag & drop .torrent files and magnet links Drag & drop reorder in torrent list System tray with notifications (download complete, kill switch events, RSS auto-downloads) Splash screen with bat animation Bilingual: English and Portuguese (BR), auto-detected from system locale Bandwidth Scheduler Alternative speed limits — set different download/upload limits on a schedule Time range — configure active hours (e.g. 01:00 to 07:00), supports overnight ranges Per-day control — choose which days of the week the schedule applies Automatically switches between normal and alternative speeds Media Server Integration Plex — automatically trigger library scan when a download completes Jellyfin / Emby — same automatic library refresh via API Configure server URL and authentication token/key in Settings System Cross-platform: Windows, Linux, macOS Auto-shutdown — automatically shut down PC when all downloads complete (60s cancellable countdown) Auto-update system (AppImage on Linux, installer on Windows, DMG on macOS) CLI arguments: pass .torrent files or magnet: URIs directly Keyboard shortcuts: Space to toggle pause, Ctrl+A to select all, Ctrl+O to open BATorrent 3.0.2 changelog: Phone pairing & WebUI The browser WebUI was reskinned to match the desktop app — same dark palette, Inter font, flat surfaces, the real BATorrent logo (it was a random bat before), and a proper magnet icon. It now looks like the same product, not a separate dashboard. Pairing is one tap and zero typing: the generated WebUI password is now copyable, and the QR code carries the credentials — scanning it from your phone logs straight in (no typing the IP or password), then drops the credentials from the address bar. Search Two new providers: RuTor (CIS sources, no login, via a public TorAPI relay) and Torrents-CSV. Results are sorted by seeders (healthiest first), and each search now times out after 15 s so one dead provider can't hang the UI. Files & trackers Per-file priority is back: right-click a file in the detail panel to set Skip / Low / Normal / High. Rename an individual file inside a torrent (double-click or the file menu), separate from renaming the torrent. Remove a tracker from a torrent (the ✕ on a tracker row); adding was already there. Smart Paste on Ctrl+V — paste a magnet, a 40-char info-hash, or a .torrent URL straight from the clipboard and it's added immediately (text fields still paste text normally). Covers & titles Anime fansub naming ([Group] Title - NN) now resolves to the right show. Audio channel layouts in titles (DDP5.1, 7.1, …) are stripped so they don't pollute cover matching. Under the hood The legacy QWidget interface is gone. QML had been the only UI since 3.0.0 (reachable old code lived behind a hidden --legacy flag); with parity confirmed, the entire QWidget layer — main window, every dialog, the theme manager — was removed (~13,400 lines). The four restored actions above were features that backend already supported but the QML port had never wired. macOS: the WebUI password hash moved out of the keychain into app settings, so launching the app no longer pops a login-keychain password prompt on unsigned builds. The actual password still lives in the keychain. Cleanup: ~400 orphaned translation strings and a batch of dead code removed; internal duplication collapsed; an ARCHITECTURE.md added for contributors. Unit / security / memory tests and the ASan/UBSan/TSan sanitizers stay green.
