Grand Theft Auto IV

it will be good to see what type it is.

its either

X) very detailed and about same size as GTA 3/VC/SA with alot more interaction with environment and graphical detail.

Y) Fairly good detail with quite good hardware pushing but with massive huge f**k sized world to explore.

I can understand it would be good if they used full size of blu-ray on ps3 to expand this ability but i understand being cross platform they have to take 360's 9GB into account so i guess we will just have to see. :)

actually, wouldn't it be

GTA III - 70's

GTA VC - 80's

GTA SA - 90's

GTA IV - 00's Present Days?

no you got it all wrong, GTA1 was set in LibertyCity ViceCity and SanAndreas, GTA2 was set in the future.

and GTAIII was set in the 90's

Free running? Oh man, that'd be awesome, couldn't imagine it in a GTA game but would be awesome nonetheless.

heeey, freerunning was my idea!!

They would never, even if it was exclusive to PS3, go over 9GB.

Episodic content has already been confirmed for both the 360 and PS3. Good thing those new 120GB Hard Drives are coming out.

I also wonder how they are going to squeeze a high definition version of GTA onto a DVD, I'm sure the last game was around 4 gigs, having it on a single DVD will either make the game look bad, or make it smaller than it should be, but with downloadable content to make it bigger.

GTA IV Trailer Not Quick Teaser

14:47 PST | Jordan | X

According to a publisher from Rockstar Games, the big trailer for Grand Theft Auto IV that will be released on Thursday will not be "some infuriatingly quick teaser." I, personally, think that it will be surprising just how much we might get to see of the game.

Thanks to our partner site The GTA Network as well as GamesRadar for the news!

I get the feeling the whole game won't be on just one dvd, the story will continue via LIVE downloaded content.

I don't understand? Surely Oblivion would still be a far more vast game than this will be and they managed to get it onto one disc - and it looks amazing. I think you guys underestimate good compression.

Well, if we look at history

It is not like game sizes have gotten smaller and smaller :D

the thing is with gta not many people would be that offended if the graphics where not vastly improved the graphics engine from the past 3 games has been sufficient what has been improved it the whole gameplay aspect and each element added has improved the game dramatically

if they didnt upgrade the graphics but made bigger maps and crazy new features like fluid movements( free running style) then i would be really happy because its never been about the graphics for me and i imagine many more people

As proven by the so many games on the 360 that require more than one disc

....

Instead of looking at one generation - look at all of them

Games are getting BIGGER AND BIGGER

Past - floppy discs for games

Present - DVDs and Blu-rays for games

Im pretty sure Free-running is called Parkour :p

LOL, it was my idea to have it in the game. I hope rockstars pay me for my idea...

They only use Blu-ray because it is used for the PS3. PC games won't go Blu-ray for a Looong time, that is if it catches on. And it will be a while before a games actually use over 9Gb of a DVD disk.

I guarantee you it will fit on one DVD disc, and that's not because it's multi-platform.

Yes, and this generation, which is what GTAIV is coming out for, is doing perfectly fantastic with DVD9's.

Why would you assume that Oblivion would be much more vast than this game will be?

If they confine it to one city, I could see that, but really, is the Oblivion map that much larger than the San Andreas map? I think it's smaller, but I never really checked...

When it hits zero you probably won't be able to view it anyway...the servers will be crushed from all the requests!!

Just because it says it will be released march 29/07 doesnt mean it will hit the servers at midnight...

but i still cant wait to see what this has to offer

    • KillerPDF 1.4.2 by Razvan Serea KillerPDF is a lightweight, portable PDF editor for Windows built for users who want full control without subscriptions, installers, or telemetry. It runs as a single executable, making it ideal for USB use and field work. You can view PDFs with smooth PDFium rendering, navigate quickly with thumbnails, zoom, and shortcuts, and reorganize pages using drag-and-drop. It supports merging multiple PDFs, splitting documents, and extracting selected pages. KillerPDF also allows inline text editing with font matching to preserve the original layout, plus annotations like text boxes, freehand drawing, highlights, and reusable signatures. You can search full text, copy content easily, and print documents with flattened annotations. Designed as a free and open alternative to bloated PDF tools, it works fully offline on Windows 10/11 x64. No runtimes install. Everything needed is inside the EXE (targets .NET Framework 4.8, which ships with every supported Windows release). KillerPDF key features: High-quality PDF rendering via PDFium Edit PDF text inline (double-click to modify text) Page thumbnails and fast navigation with zoom and shortcuts Merge multiple PDFs into one Split PDFs and extract selected pages Drag-and-drop page reordering Font matching to preserve original document appearance Text boxes for notes Freehand drawing tools Highlight overlays with adjustable color, size, opacity Undo actions and clear per-page annotations Create, draw, and save reusable signatures Click-to-place signatures anywhere Full-text search with highlighted results Drag-select or Ctrl+A to copy text Print with annotations flattened Portable single-file app (~10 MB) No installer, no admin rights required No account, no telemetry KillerPDF 1.4.2 changelog: What's new PDF form filling. Interactive PDF forms now render their fields (text inputs, checkboxes, radio buttons) as live controls. Fill them in directly and save — field values are written back into the PDF. PDF outline (bookmark) navigation. A new OUTLINES tab in the sidebar displays the document's bookmark tree. Click any entry to jump to that page. The sidebar auto-fits its width to the longest entry on open and can be dragged wider; switching back to PAGES snaps to the pages-mode width. Fixed Page rotation no longer reverts after saving. Rotations applied via the sidebar context menu now persist correctly through the save pipeline. Copied text words were out of order on PDFs where glyphs are stored in non-reading order (Issue #66). Text extraction now sorts words by position and uses a dynamic line-grouping threshold so both drag-select and Select All produce correctly ordered output. PDFs with malformed or non-standard XRef tables now open in read-only mode instead of showing "Invalid entry in XRef table" and failing entirely. • The very fact that a TPM (v2.0 specifically which is part of the issue I suspect) is now a baseline for any supported Windows installation will naturally mean other vendors will start to leverage it as they know it'll be there. It's called progress, and it's always been the way. A TPM isn't a windows thing, it's just a module designed to securely store keys. Secure boot isn't a Windows thing (although MS are the TCA as I recall hence the upheaval this year as the 2011 certs expire), it's just a way to verify a bootloader is signed. Windows simply leverages them.
    • It's a local account with the ability to reset a password at a very base level. I really don't get the issue that gets whipped up around it But you do you
