The black 360 is coming

Recommended Posts

Sweet. To bad I already have a Xbox 360 Blanco, and i doubt they will exchange it for a Xbox360 Negro.

Wouldn't HD DVD make it alot more expensive?? Not everyone has a HD TV let alone HD DVD yet.

Make it even more expensive, and probably quite delayed knowing how integration works nowadays....

Also correct me if I'm wrong, but the current external HD DVD player Microsoft is using won't play the actual games, just HD DVD movies and therefore would need to be recompiled...

thats nice, rip your "next-gen" user base between 2 consoles.

It's not though. Ripping a user base between two consoles would be releasing a console that can play different games or do different things than the current one, neither of which this 360 would be doing if it comes out. It would play the same games and store the same stuff. You want a bigger drive? I'm sure it'll be released standalone if it is coming out. The only difference is HDMI, which for the most part seems to be a non-issue.

Waiting for the "If I can't have HDMI on my XBox, no one should!!!" crowd...

lol same :p

I already have a 360, if they come out with a hardware revision I really don't care, I'll eventually get it anyways.

Team Xbox says the 120 gb HD will be under $200..

"Looks like the rumors are true. Their is a huge article in a new Game Infomer Magazine. It will support a 120 GB HD, HDMI support plus HDMI cables and will retail for $479 USD in late April. The 120 GB harddrive will be "under $200"."

so.. as long as you guys dont care about HDMI... you can just pick up the new HD... feel sorry for the people who had to pay $100 for 10 gb...

It's not replacing the premium so why would they give you a more expensive model?

Well, if you must know... I bought it on launch day and the person in front of me got the last premium. I ended up getting a core and a hard drive, you can do the math on the cost. Secondly, you mail in your product covered by the replacement plan and they send you a gift card with the total amount on it. Then, you go to the store and buy whatever you want with it. If it costs more, you pay the difference. If not, you keep the rest on the gift card ;)

In other words, it's not that you just carry in your old xbox and exchange it right there for a new one of equal or less cost.

im glad to see that it is coming (which we all knew) but....

dont blame S-X...its called NDA and his job back off the guy hes a great person to have roaming these forums

hehehe... thx a lot mate!

He's my bitch. I can blame him for anything. :D

My socks are missing, it's S-X's fault. See?

O RLY?

look sunshine, I found a pic of you getting ready for work...

10gb?

13 then. Same thing lol.

Anyways, tbh, as long as the bigger HDD is released for older consoles, and the IPTV thing works on older consoles, it doesn't bother me.

I have no use for HDMI (as I do not have a HDTV), and have no interest in HD-DVD atm anyway. The colour of it is trvial to be anyway, as white or black would fit in where my 360 is. So as long as the 120GB HDD is released for a decent price (aka, under ?100), then I see no reason why I should get the newer console.

However, if my 360 was to die, then I would consider getting the new black one.

(note - this post is assuming the rumour is true)

    • Windows 11 is a big thumbs down from me. I used for a period of a few days while it was in insider and windows 10 was the main OS, and realised it wasn't for me. I am still waiting for Windows to be tolerable again, a shame as at one point I was very pro Microsoft.
    • Classic outlook, not only does it have a much fuller feature set, it doesn't include Microsoft attempting to sync my emails from my servers to theirs. If classic outlook is ever removed from office, and the version I paid for in 2021 stops working for some reason, I'll use Thunderbird.

Through the MLT framework, Kdenlive integrates many plugin effects for video and sound processing or creation. Furthermore Kdenlive brings a powerful titling tool, a DVD authoring (menus) solution, and can then be used as a complete studio for video creation. Kdenlive supports all of the formats supported by FFmpeg or libav (such as QuickTime, AVI, WMV, MPEG, and Flash Video, among others), and also supports 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios for both PAL, NTSC and various HD standards, including HDV and AVCHD. Video can also be exported to DV devices, or written to a DVD with chapters and a simple menu. Visual effects include options for masking, blue-screen, distortions, rotations, colour tools, blurring, obscuring and others. Configurable keyboard shortcuts and interface layouts. Rendering is done using a separate non-blocking process so it can be stopped, paused and restarted. Kdenlive also provides a script called the Kdenlive Builder Wizard (KBW) that compiles the latest developer version of the software and its main dependencies from source, to allow users to try to test new features and report problems on the bug tracker. Project files are stored in XML format. An archiving feature allows exporting a project among all assets into a single folder or compressed archive. • Here's how to watch the Xbox Games Showcase today and what to expect by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The June games showcase week has been a packed one, with everything from major presentations like Sony and Summer Game Fest to indie-focused reveals coming in almost every day. Now, it's almost time for another big one, with Microsoft bringing its Xbox Games Showcase back later today. This is a double feature too, with a Gears of War E-Day deep dive also being attached to it. For anyone wanting to tune in online, the 2026 Xbox Games Showcase is kicking off at 10 AM PT | 1 PM ET | 6 PM BST | 7 PM CEST later today, June 7. The event will be available to watch on the official Xbox YouTube (4K 60FPS), Twitch, Facebook, Steam, Amazon Live, and other portals. Separate livestreams for American Sign Language and Audio Description will also be available. "This year marks 25 years of XBOX, and this Showcase is poised to be a true celebration, offering world premieres, new gameplay, fresh updates, and more for a swathe of projects we cannot wait to share," said Microsoft about this presentation. With a new CEO behind it that is pulling off some interesting moves, Xbox may have some surprises to reveal today. New looks at first-party games like Halo Campaign Evolved from Halo studios, Fable from Playground Games, InXile Entertainment's Clockwork Revolution, Mojang's Minecraft Dungeons II, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 from Infinity Ward are to be expected here. We may finally get to see the new Blade from Arcane Studios in action and a new Persona game from Atlus at the showcase too. Surprise announcements may also arrive from other Microsoft-owned studios like Bethesda, MachineGames, Ninja Theory, Obsidian, Rare, World's Edge, or Blizzard. Considering how every new release nowadays is staying away from November and December to avoid Grand Theft Auto VI's release, any launch dates Microsoft announces will probably skip those months as well. Once the Xbox Games Showcase ends, Microsoft will immediately kick off the Gears of War: E-Day Direct. This deep dive into the upcoming prequel from The Coalition should attach gameplay footage and perhaps a release window to the highly anticipated project.
