sorry guys...I quit folding when they removed it from the ps3. None of my computers are strong enough to handle the load. The machine I'm typing from, which is my "beast", has an ATI HD3650 AGP, 512MB. That's the best I have. Sorry to let you guys down. My PS3 was rockin' it though. Still sad that they dropped it on the PSN.....I'll try to do better, I need to upgrade....I know.

Ashpowell, not really sure. Wish I could help.

Obi-wan, don't wanna do CPU folding? I only do it w/ my CPU.

I think they did a great job with the latest client. Nice to have so many options!

Scaling back a bit, disabled 1 GPU to reduce heat and noise. So will be down from 45k/day to about 28k/day.

Can you run it at 50%?  I dunno if you can do that on the GUPs.

Looks like we've stabilized over the last few weeks!

Yeah seem to have stablized abit alright.

I actuall just paused one GPU instead of disabling it by removing a Folding Slot :)

My i7 desktop had been off completely for a few weeks while I was doing some re-decorating, it's been back online here and there over the past two weeks though :)

There's an unused Dell Precision M6700 (Core i7-3740 QM@2.7 GHz, 16 GB RAM, Nvidia GPU) here at work which is now doing its part for the team.

thanks guys!

My spike in points was because I hooked up a bunch of computers at work that weren't used by anybody.  I've since switched jobs, and they've been coming off line as power outages and shufflings happen at the old company.

The computer I use at my new job is an Intel Pentium... lol :'(

Question, while I always supporting folding@home I have a fear: Would the increased energy consumption would not outweigh the benefits?

Each member dedicates part of their computer's processing power in order to analyze some proteins and chemical compounds. This can help scientist to better understand some diseases, like Alzheimmer's, Huntington's and cancer.

I might look into doing it when I have finished building my new rig, (this one is only a dual core Athlon and will struggle if I was to add mine <something I'll have to be shown how to do once it's running>)

If you have a ps3 you can then fold with it. The ps3 is currently the most efficient folding machine.
