haha, that works.

the only thing i hate in your setup overall is the gainward.... i hate gainward...... i had an MX500 or something a LONG time ago in my AMD 2200 setup melt to my DFI lanparty......... GAY

how come your RAM isn't set up in dual channel mode?

Is it not the same sticks? dual channel is made by matching the colors (except on MSI boards)

thats pic is slightly old now i got new ram last week, that ram is diffrent sizes so there was no need to dual channel it but my new stuff is in dual, and ive never had a problem with gainward i love this card its the 7900 golden sample and its o/c to gt speed and beypnd runs bf2142 and hl2 max so no complaints here!

also cheers jordy i spent liek 3 hours doign cable managemnt for the tv and behind my desk so i cant see any cables

Seeing as the PSU slot is at the bottom, is it hassle get the 24 pin connector to connect to the mobo connector, is it a long stretch for the wires? I dont wanna buy and then not be able to connect the psu lol.

@ zer0day:

I had NO trouble connecting any of the PSU cables to anywhere on the motherboard. The 24 pin was a not a problem, and I did not need an extension. The only somewhat tricky thing I did was routing the 8 pin cable near the back of the case actually in between the video card and the motherboard. I saw that done in a magazine, and it worked out great. YMMV as it depends on the placement of these connectors on your motherboard.

As mentioned the front panel wires may be a bit of a stretch depending on your mobo. Shoot me a PM with what mobo and PSU you plan to use and if you still have any questions and I'd be glad to help if I can.

@ Groovedude:

Thanks for the compliment on the desk. I love the thing! It is so nice to have a such a large workspace, and it was especially nice when I was still in school (I just graduated in April). Of course, the only negative is that I sometimes still manage to fill it up with junk and it looks quite messy! No fault of the desk of course, but still.... ;)

the funny thing is that there is dvi below it...

So? the video card he's plugged into right now are DVI. But he's using VGA monitors with DVI converters. So with that awesome setup, he's got lesser quality video from his monitors.

I own a Samsung 205BW which has DVI/VGA. Didn't noticed the difference when it was connected to my laptop that only has VGA.

There's a slight colour difference, and it's more noticeable in movies. I can see it, but i've heard many people can't. Likewise, I really can't tell the difference between 1080i and 1080p, even though many of my friends supposedly can. Who knows? lol

but yeah, putting the vga in there makes your monitor look at the thing as being vga. If you use a DVI cable, you'll notice a difference from the VGA. since you have VGA in there, you're only seeing what a VGA would look like

    • Signal accuses UK government of using child safety as cover for mass surveillance by David Uzondu Recently, the UK's Home Office announced a sweeping set of proposals to make Britain the "first country in the world" where children cannot share or view nude photos on their smart devices, an initiative that authorities claim will protect children from online predators and combat pornography. In response, Signal believes that while the government must keep children "safe" and "protected," it should do so through social services and education, not by "surveillance, funding cuts, and cover-ups." The company called the plan "dystopian" and warned that it violates everyone's fundamental right to privacy, arguing that scanning on the presumption of nudity will only strengthen the market dominance and data control of giant corporations like Apple and Google. The statement continues by accusing the government of hiding its true intentions under the guise of child safety. Signal argues that the Home Office is building an invisible surveillance infrastructure that remains ripe for exploitation by future administrations and authoritarian regimes. According to the company, this aggressive approach completely ignores the actual needs of young people, such as properly funded schools and mental health services. Tech companies like Apple and Google have a three-month window to implement these mandatory device-level filters across the United Kingdom. If these tech firms refuse to comply with the mandate, the government will pass emergency legislation to force them to comply, threatening massive fines and even going after the CEOs of these companies with criminal charges. The technology will work by blocking explicit images directly on the operating system of all smartphones and tablets by default. This system monitors the device camera and third-party apps to intercept nudity before anyone can upload or send the image. Adults can still view explicit content, but only after completing a strict age verification check to unlock their devices. Several bodies like the NSPCC and Barnardo's praised the Home Office's decision, arguing that device-level intervention stops the cycle of grooming before it starts. The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) also supported the policy, claiming that tech companies can implement on-device checks "without threatening privacy or collecting any data."
    • Did you watch the keynote? It is way beyond what is described in this article. Looks interesting. Now it is time for them to deliver unlike what happened in 24.
    • It pretty much has to be compatible with MS Office or it is going nowhere. The rest of the world runs office including Europe. If it is not compatible it will not survive.
