Price?

My guess is $68.54

Based on the fact MS charges roughly $1.49 a GIG for the add on Hard Drive, I came to this price since there are approximately 46 keys.

Oh wait, I just read it comes with headphones. Make that $98.54

I wonder what Sony's response to this will be.

"Along with Home, you get the new Sony Home Messenger, for PC and PS3. It comes fully loaded with 260 million bots so you can pretend to have as many friends as XBL and Windows Live users have. Just for this occasion we are also releasing a keyboard that fits into the controller. Unfortunately, there aren't any ports on the controller to plug it in to, but you can still pretend to type to your pretend friends."

Too.... many.... accesories.... to buy....!!

Sad part is this year i will be speniding the equvialent of a PS3 on 360 accesories... then again we all know which money is better spent, and its not the ones that goes to sony ;) hahaaa

HD - DVD player

120GB HDD

You are gonna need the Racing wheel for when Forza 2 launches

Maybe an extra black controller ;)

got to have the Wireless headset

Keypad

Add that to the allready purchased wireless adapter, extra controller and recharging controller stuff, starts to add up ;)

I think you bought enough for two PS3s there :s

I'm afraid it will be something like this... :pinch:

sony_psp_keyboard1.jpg

That's just plain ugly

"Hey...let's put the keyboard on top and make it clear and make sure the letters are kinda hard to see and don't forget that when you're typing, your hand will be completely blocking the screen so you can't see what you're doing. Yeah!!!! That's it!!!!!"

well, if it's real then it looks nice. will get one given the right price, but it won't be cheap right? and wouldn't a standalone USB KB work better? this one is very novel and stuff, but may get awkward.

I have no idea if this works in games since the usb one doesnt but if so thats a reason. A better reason however since MS could allow a usb one in games is found by looking at the expected environment for a 360. I'm sure most 360's are sitting in a loungeroom (if i remember right yours is at a pc right? I know mine is). Anyway how practical is a usb keyboard in a lounge room? Probably not that practical (cord lengths, swapping between the keyboard and pad constantly) and if they are going to allow this in game its likely thered be cases where each player would need one (or want one) in which case the xbox is lacking the usb ports to cater for 4 players.

Ohh and lastly MS makes more money this way.

(for the record id love to see usb keyboard and mouse support in games as an optional control method. People say its unfair for online but I couldnt care less about online really, I play offline purely and if its available to all people I dont think its an unlevel playing field. Just use what you prefer, just as you can with the steering wheel */end rant*).

    • Along with that and very unfortunate for Linux, the AI boom/tariffs/global supply chain instability really destroyed any chances of it getting a decent chunk of market share. By all accounts, if a Steam Deck was still available for $399 (with tons of alternatives releasing at $500-$800 - instead of $1500+ now) and the Steam Machine was out there for $499, I think a lot of people WOULD have been willing to try SteamOS and switch away from Windows. But yeah, with the crazy jacked up prices now, people have to make safe bets with their money.
    • Neowin hasn't been covering the Ladybird browser but it has been posted about on a lot of tech and Linux/open source sites. I have been following the effort myself for almost a year now. Cloudflare and Proton are among their sponsors. You can read the why here--> https://ladybird.org/#about
    • That's really the user's problem, not the developers. It's not like the Windows 10 EOL was a surprise. Once a product goes out of support, you have to understand YOU are owning the risk of running it - the rest of the world will move on, maybe you'll be OK, maybe you'll be OK for a while, maybe you'll have an issue.... But you can't expect devs to write or certify software for dead operating systems.
    • Not mentioned in this blog post is that Linux has now dropped for 2 months in a row. At a hight of 5.33% in March, then 4.52% in April and now 3.99% in May. I suspect the end of Windows 10 got a bunch of people to try Linux, fueled by all the Microsoft hate, and rabid social media push of that....and now they are going back to Windows 11 because of the normal Linux issues. The vast majority of PC gamers want to use their computers to game and not trouble shoot why a game wont work, or half work.
