I'm not convinced that Ben organized the faux plane. I'm not saying he isn't connected to it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was someone else, someone higher than Ben. Obviously there's an organization behind Ben, where else does he get all those funds.

Maybe it was Ben's idea, but I don't know yet. I'm just not convinced it was him. Regardless, it wouldn't be easy getting rid of paperwork that showed Michael and Walt was on that plane. Does Ben have those type of connections and if so, that means he has government ties as well, why not just use those ties to get rid of Charles Widmore?

Maybe Widmore has something Ben needs. The person who was filming the video of Widmore could have easily taken him out with a gun.

Her words were chosen very carefully. It was 'I really miss you'. Not 'I can't believe you're gone'. Also, the whole part with her 'seeing' him during the birth and her calling out for him. Very similar to people 'appearing' on the island. Now, we've seen those people that appear both be alive and dead, so that doesn't clear it up by itself. The date on the tombstone is another thing against him being dead. Like I've said before, it would have been easier to explain that Jin died in the months since the crash and not on the crash date with the baby's conception date being after the crash.
I wouldn't say that she saw him, I've rewatched the episode and she saw someone that resembled him, in her mind she saw Jin, but that could be because she was going through something traumatic. That doesn't mean it was 'seeing' him like what people have seen Walt or Christian Shepard.

And calling out for him, once again going through something as traumatic as what she was, it isn't out of the question to call out for someone you have loved deeply. Just like Jack was calling out for his father at the hospital in his flash forward when he was wasted.

I'm not saying that Jin is dead, but that's the way I'm leaning. I have to wonder if the timeline for her pregnancy would even be looked at. But the fact that she didn't even seem the least bit interested in going back to the island suggest he's either dead or she doesn't know he's alive.

Regardless, I hope he is alive. I like Jin's character, he was a total douche before the island, but I think we're seeing Jin's true colors now. He's a carrying and loving husband and I certainly don't want to see him dead.

Very possible.

All valid points, although Jack's "Go get my father" was more of a F-U to the other doctor than anything.

I don't know. Maybe he IS dead. But I just have a feeling that he isn't.

He was those things before he went to work for Mr Paik too. But I guess since the island 'fixed' him, he is more than likely dead.

Very possible.

I was just thinking that maybe its the journal from the Black Rock.

That's an interesting theory. I'm curious as to how long it will take before we find out what's in that journal. I wonder if we'll one day get a flash back or flash forward of Charles Widmore. It would certainly fill in a lot of gaps regarding him and the island.

BTW, I just looked up the name Kevin Johnson and I didn't really find anything. The only thing I found was, once upon a time, there was a mockumentary about a British film producer that went AWOL called The Disappearance of Kevin Johnson. But no philosophers, or anything like that.

Think "box that you can pull anything out of," you know, the one he hinted at back in season three with Locke and the submarine. I'm sure that has something to do with it.... :shifty:

There is at least one more group in play. That would be whomever smoky is controlled or was placed by. Smoky isn't following Dharma, the others, the losties or widmore. So it is possible there are other groups that may have an interest in hiding 815. Not sure who that could be, but the possibility remains.

I would say that smoky was placed on the island by Dharma who was funded by Alvar Hanso. Dharma seems to have abandoned the island for whatever reason, it doesn't seem like they have tried to return. Considering that it was their island to begin with, I can't imagine they wouldn't know how to find it in case of an emergency such as "The Purge".

I think that 'box' was just Ben BSing Locke as usual. Didn't Anthony Cooper tell Sawyer the story of what happened? He was driving along in Tallahassee and someone crashed into his car and then he woke up on the island.

That isn't a real box, it is a metaphor.

In the March 26, 2007 podcast, executive producer Damon Lindelof confirmed that the box reference is a metaphor for something else: "It would be kind of silly to walk to the middle of the island and there's a kind of a big large refrigerator box sitting there and Kate's horse comes trotting out and Sayid's little cat and Jack's dad ... that would be kind of the worst idea in the history of ideas."

In the May 23, 2007 special "Lost: The Answers," producers Cuse and Lindelof commented on the nature of the magic box metaphor, stating that "the entire island is a magic box."

I didn't post the ratings from last week anyway here they are and they seem alot lower!

THURSDAY (March 13, 2008)

ABC:

8:00pm Lost ® (5.34 million)

9:00pm Lost (11.87 million)

10:02pm Eli Stone (7.31 million)

And this weeks will go down even more with the first day of the NCAA tournament.

Ratings aren't a big deal, the show will be allowed to end.

In Lost: The Answers, the producers confirm that "the survivors are not in purgatory. They are alive and living somewhere in the space-time continuum." Which got me thinking, we know that Lost is influenced by some of Stephen King's writing, and I remembered a film I saw many years ago called The Langoliers.

This is actually a real cool thought I've got going here. The story is about a flight from LA to Boston when something goes horribly wrong. They go through a time rip and end up in the past where these creatures come and gobble up everything.

One of the characters is named Craig Toomey who is paranoid thanks to his father. But if you remember back to Season One I think it was, the person Hurley goes to visit in Australia is named Sam Toomey who is paranoid.

We already know that there is a time difference between the island and the real world, maybe the island is in a time rip?

Sadly it will go down this week. But like episode said, it doesn't really matter as Lost is still a huge source of revenue for ABC. If they really cared about the ratings they would have pushed this week's episode either back by a week or moved it to in front of the 5 new episodes in April (or May whenever it starts back).

Yeah I know its got an end date but I think its sad the ratings drop, maybe its outside programs but maybe people just weren't interested in Jin/Suns story.

No, it doesn't have anything to do with Sun/Jin. You have to remember that most people don't know who or what the next episode will be about until it airs.

I absolutely LOVED 'The Langoliers'. Both the book and the made for TV movie.

The Toomey thing could very well be a reference.

We know time is off on the island somehow, it seems to be a day and a half behind.

you don't think then the title ji yeon wasn't a giveaway? :p

Howdy all.

I have had some internet problems over the last few days, and i really can't be arsed to read 11 pages. Anyone want to give me a summary :p

JediXangel and Hurmoth and Episode had a nice discussion other then that nothing really.

JediXAngel: Teh hawtness, that helps make the show!

Me/Hurmoth/Episode: No.

Or the Promos?

What about the promos?

If you mean the promos end of episode they showed sun and jin alot which makes you think its gonna be about her but I didn't know they dont air the title they do over here I think if you hover over the show on tv guide.

Or the Promos?

The press release promo (like a text based description of the show, stars, guest stars, etc.) includes the name, but if someone watches just TV (and doesn't have at least digital cable) then they would pretty much never see the title. If TV Guide is still around on basic cable for some people, then they may be able to see it there.

Yeah I love the book more, but I guess that's almost always going to be better than the film. The film was good nevertheless.

I also loved Secret Window, Secret Garden, which was part of the same novella collection, but the film adaptation was horrible :x

Yes I am referring to promos that give away who the episode is about

I will watch NCAA/Final Four, but Hell I WON'T be missing Lost NO sir! Maybe flip to it during commericials... UNC doesn't play on Thursday anyway!

BTW anybody have an Updated Island Map???

I wonder they explored everywhere yet?

    • Supposedly it's fixed on Series consoles: https://support.forza.net/hc/e...e-Issues-in-Forza-Horizon-6 This game is so much better than FH5, and it's all because of the map. It's diverse, big, and so much to see and do. I've bought every single Forza Motorsport and Horizon game, and by far my least played is FH5 at 100 hours, followed by the latest Motorsport. They've finally made a good one with FH6
    • Sorry to be that guy but, Given Trump won again even after a failed first term it would appear attacking the other side is how to gain Government in America. Voters when it came down to it didn't give a s**t about those Democratic achievements and voted for Trump over an intelligent, qualified mixed race woman. We need to face up to this uncomfortable reality. There are more Americacan voters who support racism and christian bigotry along with defending and supporting pedophilia, adjudicated rapists, multiple time convicted felons etc than those who don't. Btw, that is how the world sees America now. Not that Trump voters care as they attempt to cocoon themselves in a white supremacy bubble.
    • That's not clickbait. Clickbait is headlines like, "You'll never guess what this person looks like now" for example. For goodness sake, take a look around the internet if you think this is clickbait. How do sites survive if people don't click through to articles? How many people in all honesty would have clicked this if it had your suggested headline? You and those upvoting your post won't be happy until the web is a couple of hundred websites all behind a paywall.
