Dont mean to argue or be insulting, but seriously... can you please take that picture of Eve Carson out of your sig? I just caught up on the past 5 pages of this thread and had to look at her like 95 times. I understand it's a tragic story and you feel some kind of deep connection with this girl for whatever reason (which, in honesty for whatever reason feels inappropriate in itself), but i feel it's becoming a bit overboard. Feel free to leave a link to your tribute thread in your sig or whatever, but having to be reminded of a tragedy and have the image of a deceased girl pounded into my retinas time and time again is becoming a tad morbid.

Just a comment. Take it how you will.

Anyways, i assume some of you have seen the sneak peaks and in the promo that someone will die

Why do you think Micheal wants to die and i think Jin may die, but its a bit predictable if he does die

One of the things I have been disappointed with this season is the island mythology. There was, of course, the station, "Tempest." But I was expecting it to play a bigger role than what it did. It still could, but for the most part the island mythology has been put on the back burner for now. Maybe I've missed a few things, but it still isn't as important as it was in Season One (i.e. the numbers, the hatch, etc.), Season Two (i.e. the Blast door map, etc.) and even Season Three.

Yeah I actually miss the island mysteries i.e Dharma and the other hatches I mean the Blast Door map had other stations we havent seen yet which I would love to see what they were used for but I am sure we will get back to that really soon maybe second half of season 4 or season 5, for example Radzinksy who was that dude who was with Kelvin and did he really kill himself there are so many dharma questions that I would love answered and hope they are.

Yeah the hatch had so many questions and boom, it went, and we havent come back to it since.

Is the entire Island explored? That Map I posted seems to have a lot of places empty.

Especially surrounding the Four-Foot Statue, doesn't seem well explored that area, mountain

This might be a More recent map of that...

More Than You Want to Know?

The truth is out there.

Anyone with a computer and an obsession believes this is true.

The truth of "Lost," that metaphysical beacon of our times, seems tantalizingly within reach on spoiler Web sites such as TheTailSection, DarkUFO and DocArzt. There are message forums for discussing rumors, mysteries and symbolism. There are unsatisfying sections in which fellow devotees have posted "Answers," which answer nothing but questions you'd never realized were questions to begin with.

What did Naomi mean when she said, "Tell my sister I love her"?

Entire communities are built around such mysteries -- virtual water cooler klatches descended from those lunch bunches that once discussed "Twin Peaks" or "The X Files" -- all united by a pursuit of one goal: B e the first to figure out what happens next.

But get too caught up in the quest, and you discover its downside: If you take a shortcut to the answer, you could end up hanging out there for a while, all alone, until everyone else shows up.

(One-sentence indoctrination for non-Losties: Plane crash survivors with shady pasts are stranded on creepy island.)

The search for the truth is as meta as any inscrutable TV show, because it's not really about what you will find but about why you feel the need to find it -- and what it will feel like to actually succeed.

Of course, you never worry about that while you are on the hunt.

Over on the message board section of "Lost" site DarkUFO, a bunch of Losties are analyzing a close-up of a book -- a blown-up screen grab from a recent episode. It might be just a book, but it might be an "Easter egg," a clue implanted by "Lost" writers to reward sharp viewers.

"It looks to be 'Second Degree White Belt Sudoko,' " writes a user who goes by the handle Epontius. Epontius has searched Barnes & Noble's Web site to verify this.

This is just one puzzle from one episode. The bigger questions -- seriously, what is the island's deal ?-- have been debated for months, even years.

It's missing Looking Glass and Tempest but thats based on the blastdoor map.

I think C3 is the Tempest. In a recent podcast, the producers confirmed that the Tempest is on the blastdoor map and if that graphic is based on the blastdoor map then C3 makes the most sense considering its position next to the water on a hill.

I'm hoping we get a flash back of Richard Alpert this season, that would be awesome and possible now that Cane has been canceled. If we got a flash back for him, I'd imagine that we'd get a lot of mythology regarding the island.

Where those are on the Map?

Area surrounding the Four-Toed Statue, Mainly towards South....

The South East side...

North, around where it says "Dangerous rivers"

Are all these places NOT being really explored well yet?

You watch the same show as us dude.

The producers have said the statue will be cleared up by the end of this season, so we're bound to see some more of it soon.

Well, one of my BIGGEST gripes about this show is that so far, there hasn't been a lot of island exploration or even an Official Map of the island that Comes from ABC!

Aren't they Curious what else is on the Island?

Given the amount of peril they've witnessed from casually strolling around the island, can you blame them?

Yeah but its a dharma logo, who knows Radzinksy might of just documented it as Explosive storage facility.

I don't think so. He wouldn't have made it into a Dharma logo IMO. I think there's another station there that just happens to be near where the Black Rock is.

I wouldn't trust that considering the writer's strike. I wouldn't be surprised if that was pushed back to next season.

Well even though we're not getting 16 episodes, Cuse and Lindelof have said that they'll condense the remaining eight into five episodes, so whatever main points they wanted to make will be brought out, at least that's what they made it sound like.

Given the amount of peril they've witnessed from casually strolling around the island, can you blame them?

I BLAME the writers... they ought to think up of a good episode or two that ties some Mysterious unexplored locations into the Mythology of this show!

Now, THAT's great idea to write about. NOT exploring the rest of island is just plain Retarded!

It's one area, I definitely like to see explored in next two seasons, if not latter this season.

    • A few weeks ago, I had this same exact issue. Unfortunately, I didn't think of disabling the Secure Boot option in BIOS. I updated my BIOS to the latest version for my MB and it resolved the issue.
    • I have a partial answer, when I used a multi-port usb hub I had degraded speed performance with 3 large external hard drives connected. I managed to snag a nice (yet older) USB3 wavelink hub that had about x6 usb 3 ports and almost doubled the speed of the external hard drives transfer rate. This looks to be a slightly upgraded model -https://ebay.io/m/LZtjTy
    • Microsoft faces shareholder lawsuit over masking AI costs and slowing Azure growth by Karthik Mudaliar Microsoft is facing a class action lawsuit from shareholders who allege that the company intentionally overhyped its artificial intelligence initiatives to distract from slowing cloud revenue and an exploding infrastructure bill. The complaint was filed in a Seattle federal court by the Michigan-based City of St. Clair Shores Police and Fire Retirement System. The plaintiffs argue that Microsoft’s leadership painted an overly optimistic picture of its Copilot rollout and complex OpenAI partnership. They say that the company did this while downplaying the harsh reality that building the data centers required to power these next-generation tools requires a huge amount of capital. Back at the company's Q2 2026 earnings report from late January, Microsoft revealed that its flagship Azure cloud growth had slipped to 39% (down from 40% the prior quarter) and guided investors to expect a further deceleration to 37% or 38% for the first three months of 2026. Now, under normal circumstances, a slight percentage point drop in cloud growth is a minor operational hiccup. But the Redmond giant paired that guidance with $37.5 billion in quarterly capital expenditures. This figure, which is a 66% year-over-year surge, blew past any analyst estimates at that time. Much of this amount went into buying high-priced GPUs and custom silicon that were required to train and run large language models. This is why the market reacted violently and just a day after its earnings call on January 29, the company's stock plummeted 10%, and wiped out $357 billion of capital in just a trading session. Microsoft is doing better now, though. Its Q3 2026 results showed its run rate from its AI business was hitting $37 billion, proving that enterprise demand for its infrastructure is very real and continuing to scale. Microsoft isn't the only company pouring billions into infrastructure for the AI boom. We've seen most Big Tech companies, including Amazon and Google, also get the results of these **** with stronger-than-ever growth and increased income. via Reuters
