Please someone confirm that this is coming to PC!

Probably near enough confirmable. I wouldn't expect it till late 2009, if not 2010 though with episodic content hitting Live - I wonder if any of that will be bundled with PC version?

great game, truly an epic. Beat the game twice, going for my 3rd time. I just wish you could have multiple love quests lol and there were a few bugs i noticed ... like there is no way to save the big ugly thinga ma jig. You shoot its things and there a little gauge you get so u shoot and get it bang on between the two points but nothnig happens, only when you kill the whole health off does the door open and you go on and on.

Thought I would post here rather than make a new thread. got the game cheap the other day and gave it a shot but I have come across some issues I hope people can help me with.

I can only seem to use the pistol. Every other weapon required training but gives me no means to train them. Whats the deal with that?

It depends on your class. Gain more points (from experience) and put it into whichever weapon you wish to use (i.e. sniper rifle, shotgun, or assault rifle).

It's been quite a while since I've played Mass Effect so I can't remember exactly how it works but it depends on what class you choose.

e.g. "Soldier" can use every weapon once you've upgraded using the skill points you get from levelling up whereas "Sentinel" can only use Pistol (and maybe 1 extra weapon, can't remember) but good biotic moves.

edit; nevermind Anaron beat me to it.

Yep, soldiers can use assault rifles right off the bat. Engineers, on the other hand, can only use the pistol at the beginning. If I remember correctly, adepts can't even use a pistol at the start.

Wow this was inactive since January? I thought someone else would have bumped it before then.

I really liked the game and wanted to play it more, back then I was really only playing COD4 when I was on the 360 most of the time. Its really not the type of game to play for 30mins and leave for a week. I was so confused what to do next when I came back to it I just didn't bother playing anymore. Same thing happened with Oblivion and I have a feeling will happen with Fallout 3 too. I've not touched it in over a week so far..

I too was surprised at the fact that this thread was inactive for so long. Anyway, I too liked the game. I tried the X360 version once at a friend's house and waited for the PC version to come out. Let me tell you that it was definitely worth the wait. At least for me it was because my X360 was broken and I had a fairly decent gaming PC.

Fair enough then. I just cant help but find it unfair that if I not chose a soldier class, I carry weapons which I cant use. Its pointless. I know he requires training to use say a sniper rifle but when I equip it and the crosshair fills the entire screen, thats a bit much. I feel its penalising me for not choosing the soldier class. I don't have the option to put any points into any weapons.

I think it should of been balanced out better, if Im not a soldier give me 3/4 powerful moves instead. Not give me 3 weapons I can NEVER use.

Its a great game don't get me wrong, it just felt unfair.

Well if all classes could use all weapons, what's the point in having classes at all? If you chose a soldier you'd be complaining that you can't use biotics or engineering. Every class has it's shortcomings and it's strengths.

Old thread i know,

Anyone buying Mass Effect 1 to play through before ME2 and maybe wanting to achieve lvl 60 (which isnt possible on first play-through ) the first play-through you should try to do ALL side quest, missions, collections to hit LVL 56tops. Then on the second play-though you might be able to hit level 60.

Heh funny this topic should come up. I started Mass Effect again last night after I lost interest back in 2007. I never really paid attention to the story or where I was supposed to go. Last night I played for 2 hrs straight though which is a big deal for me when it comes to RPG's :p I pretty much have to stick to the main storyline though or I will begin to lose interest if I'm caught up in side quests. The game is just so bloody big and it's way too easy to get lost.

I really wish the waypoints were visible on each map, no matter where you are. Like it should point you in the direction which exit/entrance/elevator you should take.

Although at least it's not as bad as The Darkness map system. Man I hated that

I'm installing the PC version right now. It's been awhile since I last played. Hopefully, I still have my save files lying around somewhere.

I finished my second playthrough a couple of days ago. Still haven't scanned all the keepers, refused to cheat in the casino, kept Wrex alive and sacrificed Kaidan. I also got the Paragon achievement. I'm gonna start a third playthough later on to get the Renegade achievement.

Is there a way to train yourself to use other weapons? Because my character is an Engineer, and I've been stuck using pistols for two playthroughs now.
