According to a source within WWE, there is still concern over whether or not Bret Hart will be able to compete in a singles match against Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 26.

As of right now, WWE's "contingency plan" for WrestleMania, in the event that Bret is incapable of working a singles match, is to have Bret Hart and John Cena vs Vince and Batista in a tag team bout. The build up here is to Bret applying The Sharpshooter on Vince, but if Bret is not up to the singles match, WWE will be combining the two matches. At this point, Vince's preference is the singles match, but as I said Bret's health is of concern. If Bret decides he can work a singles match, then WWE will most likely book Cena vs Batista in a separate singles match.

-- It is expected that Batista and Cena will make more appearances on each other's shows in the next few weeks, to build to their WrestleMania match. There is expected to be lots of cross-promotion in the coming weeks.

-- It is expected that the first name for the 2010 WWE Hall of Fame will be announced Monday on RAW.

PWInsider.com is reporting that the official theme song for WWE's Elimination Chamber is "Rise Up" by Cypress Hill.

It's also being reported that in Germany, The Elimination Chamber PPV name has been changed back to No Way Out. Most likely, the name change took place as the name Elimination Chamber might appear to be politically incorrect in Germany

Fans have been wondering what exactly WWE NXT will be since Vince McMahon announced that ECW would end its run on Syfy and be replaced by the "next evolution" of WWE.

The word going around is that the NXT concept will be portrayed as a "reality" based series featuring new wrestlers who viewers will be able to follow inside and outside of the ring. Fans will be able to follow wrestlers from day one and get their personal insight, their background and goals, creating a different sense of deeper insight, etc.

As it stands now, the concept appears similar to WWE's former Tough Enough series with talent not only feuding with each other, but for the opportunity to become the "next" big WWE Superstar and move onto RAW or SmackDown!.

WWE has been pitching different concepts for the series and formalizing plans since the fall, but all signs to point to this concept being the nucleus of NXT.

As of right now, WWE has not decided what to do with the ECW Title. The belt may continue on as some are lobbying to keep the title, but in the end this will be Vince McMahon's decision. Some feel that they should keep the belt so that they can use the title for the undercards of secondary PPVs as an attraction.

In a radio interview with Boston's Mix 104 this week, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson shed some new light on his upcoming WWE return, which is expected to take place this summer.

When asked if he plans on wrestling a match, The Rock said:

"How I would come back is a different capacity than what Hulk Hogan did or I believe Ric Flair is doing. Those guys are coming back to actually wrestle. I don't want to wrestle; I have no intention of wrestling a match."

The Rock plans on having a major impact on WWE programming and could serve as a semi-permanent RAW Guest host for the entire summer:

"I do have intention of going back and hosting the show. Hosting a show like that would give me the opportunity to get on the microphone, rip open the writing, and invite guests on to come host with me. We wanted to create something cool and big and fun for the audience."

Justin Pels sent along the following: Tonight on RAW when they went to commercial before the Orton/Rhodes Lawler said that one half of Legacy would be facing the leader of Legacy. I'm no mathematician but wouldn't it be one third of Legacy? Also when Cena had Dibiase in the stf hold Lawler said that Rhodes was tapping out. Ted was in the match not Cody. Lawler sure has been making alot of mistakes lately.

Ashley Tucker sent along the following: Jerry Lawler messed up the Legacy names again during RAW this week. While mentioning the card for the Elimination Chamber, Lawler listed Cody Rhodes instead of Ted DiBiase as participants in the match.

Stephanie W. sent along the following: Just thought I would pass this along. I was watching Raw tonight when the participants of the Elimination Chamber match at the ppv were announced. They were announced as follows: Sheamus, Randy Orton, John Cena, Kofi Kingston, Triple H, and Cody Rhodes(not Ted DiBiase).

Steve Golas sent along the following: Found another error on RAW. Right before the first commercial break for the Unified Tag Team Championship match, Michael Cole revealed that their would be a new champion by stating, "Who will be the new Unified Tag Team Champions? This triple threat elimination matchup will get underway when we return live to Raw". Just thought that I would send this along as the announce team continues to make errors.

David Sr. sent along the following: Watching Raw and noticed that right before the first commercial during the tag title match. Cole all but announced DX would be losing the tag belts by saying "Who will be the new tag champions we'll find out when Raw returns"

ahahaha. stupid announcers. mc's gotta stop that "vintage" crap, vintage refers to OLD as in many years or decades, not old like last year or yesterday. it just makes him sound worse than he already is. Vince should just toss his ass to the curb. same with Lawler, everytime they are about to cut to commercial or a video promo, he looks up at the camera like he's about to get slapped like a bitch

We reported several weeks ago that The Undertaker is currently working through a lot of pain, and a new report by F4WOnline.com is confirming that 'Taker is indeed still having several pain issues in the ring. The feeling right now is that The Undertaker will be working a much lighter schedule heading into Wrestlemania 26 as WWE wants to ensure that he can wrestle at his best on the PPV.

There has also been talking of taking the title off the waist of The Undertaker prior to WrestleMania, as WWE management does not think that a title needs to be on the line for an Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels match. The creative team feels that there's enough drawing power in a non-title match between the two veterans, and that the company might be able to draw more with a separate title match on the WrestleMania card.

Ugh. I'll be pretty ****ed off if they do another Shawn Micheals vs the Undertaker for Wrestlemania. it's already been done. what's the point?

The point is that it earned a lot of money and attracted many fans. It was the Match of the year 2009. So with business point of view, this match is perfect.

Moreover, HBK is obsessed in facing Taker again, and Taker says that Micheals was as tough to him as no one before. So with this approach, this match seems logical.

Vince McMahon stated during this morning's WWE conference call that the WWE Survivor Series title is "obsolete." He added that the title has "outlasted its usage" and that they do not intend on using the name going forward.

"We think that Survivor Series is obsolete, as far as that title is concerned," McMahon said. It was something that worked many, many years ago, in terms of a creative standpoint, various teams competing. That really is not advantageous as the consumer now looks as what actually they are buying. And it's such a broad ... Survivor Series yes, many years ago, was one of the original four pay-per-views, but it's outlasted its usage and it is one of the things in terms of rebranding, this year and going forward, that will be rebranded. No longer will we have that title, Survivor Series."

While WWE's new gimmick-themed pay-per-view events out-performed their 2008 counterparts, last year's Survivor Series took a sharp hit as the show drew 235,000 buys, down 26% from 2008 (319,000).

In a survey sent out to the WWE Universe this morning, WWE asks fans what their level of interest is in the following potential PPV event themes:

Tournament Event: Single elimination "bracket style" tournament where Superstars would compete in multiple matches during the night to become the tournament winner.

Street Fight Event: Main events would include"street fight" matches where there are no disqualifications and pin-falls count anywhere. Superstars often compete in normal street clothes.

Legends Event: Match participants would include WWE Legends from the past.

Money in the Bank Event: The main event "Money in the Bank" match requires Superstars to climb a ladder and retrieve a briefcase hung high above the ring. The winner can "cash in" the briefcase for a championship title shot throughout the year. Qualifying matches earlier in the event will determine participants for the "Money in the Bank" match.

WWE Draft Event: WWE's annual Draft where Superstars and Divas learn which brand they'll be a part of for the next year. The Draft is often the beginning of new conflicts and matchups.

Battle Bowl Event: Random tag-teams compete together - sometimes arch rivals - with the winning teams being put in a 2-ring Battle Royal. The winner could potentially receive a championship title match.

Roulette Event: Main event match stipulations would be determined by the spin of a roulette-type wheel.

War Games Event: Teams of 5 collide in 2 cages. 2 participants begin the match with a new participant added every 5 minutes. This process is alternated between teams until all members from both teams are present.)

    • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Flip 8, Z Fold Wide: Everything you need to know The ONLY thing I need to know is the price, which I know will be way higher than I (and most people) are willing to pay for a phone... so basically nothing here I need to know. PS: Nice job getting that Apple reference to a non-existent and unrevealed product as "competition" in there. Cheque is in the mail.
    • Well I really think the repasting helped if your higher clocks have returned, maybe the next thing to look at is if there is a problem with your case airflow? I guess this because your 3080 has returned to optimal state, but is still staying too warm, which might suggest it was thermal throttling before you repasted, of which the only logical conclusion could be outside factors.
    • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Flip 8, Z Fold Wide: Everything you need to know by Hamid Ganji Galaxy Z Fold 7 - Image via Samsung The next generation of Samsung foldables is set to be unveiled next month at the second Unpacked event of the year. Samsung’s 2026 foldables are not expected to offer significant upgrades over their predecessors, with the Korean firm instead focusing on design refinements and conventional upgrades such as faster processors and better cameras. However, Samsung is reportedly planning to unveil an all-new passport-style foldable this year to rival Apple’s first foldable iPhone, which is expected to debut this September. Here’s a roundup of everything we know about Samsung’s upcoming foldable devices ahead of their official debut. When can we expect Samsung’s new foldables? The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 series were unveiled in July, and Samsung is expected to maintain this timeframe in 2026. Based on previous reports from Korean sources, Samsung will hold its Unpacked event on July 22 in London, UK, to pull back the curtain on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series. The devices are also expected to hit the shelves a few weeks after launch. However, Samsung has yet to announce an official date. A new naming scheme? One of the most interesting changes we might see this year is a new naming scheme for Samsung’s latest foldables. SamMobile reported that since Samsung is expected to unveil three foldables this year, it has adopted a new naming strategy to simplify product identification for customers. Accordingly, the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 will reportedly be called the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and will serve as the direct successor to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 7. The “Ultra” suffix suggests the phone could feature higher-end specifications, such as additional rear camera modules. Samsung’s new passport-style foldable is expected to carry the Galaxy Z Fold 8 name without any suffix. This model is reportedly equipped with two rear cameras. No major changes are expected for the Flip model. Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Z Flip 8 anticipated specs Rumors over the past few months suggest Samsung is preparing several upgrades for its upcoming foldables, although the devices may continue to rely on larger batteries and faster charging speeds rather than dramatic design changes. The primary focus this year is expected to be the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and its wide-screen design. Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra official CAD renders - Image via AndroidHeadlines Here are the anticipated specifications for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra based on previous leaks: 6.5-inch outer display and 8-inch inner display, 120Hz refresh rate, and 2,600 nits peak brightness Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage 4.1mm thickness when unfolded and a weight of 210g 200MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide camera, 10MP or 12MP telephoto camera, 10MP cover camera, and 10MP selfie camera 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging Android 17 and One UI 9 As for the Galaxy Z Flip 8, the device is not expected to be a major departure from its predecessor, although it could become slightly slimmer. Expected specifications include: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or Exynos 2600 processor 12GB of RAM with 256GB and 512GB storage options 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X inner dispaly and 4.1-inch Super AMOLED outer dispaly 50MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide camera, and 10MP selfie camera 4,300mAh battery with 25W wired charging Android 17 and One UI 9 Samsung’s foldables are also expected to launch with Gemini Intelligence, Google’s AI suite for automating tasks in Android ecosystem. Moreover, given current memory and component costs, some Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Z Flip 8 variants could see a price hike. Galaxy Z Fold 8 adopts a wide-screen design The centerpiece of the upcoming Unpacked event could be the Galaxy Z Fold 8, previously rumored as the Galaxy Z Fold Wide. This model adopts a passport-style form factor and is expected to compete directly with Apple’s iPhone Fold. Galaxy Z Fold 8 official CAD renders - Image via AndroidHeadlines Here’s what to expect: 7.6-inch primary OLED display and 5.4-inch cover display, 120Hz refresh rate, 2,600 nits peak brightness, and 4:3 aspect ratio Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, 12GB or 16GB of RAM, and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB storage options 4,800mAh battery with 45W wired charging 50MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide camera, and 10MP selfie camera Android 17 and One UI 9 The three new foldable phones are unlikely to be the only devices unveiled at Samsung’s Unpacked event. The company is also expected to introduce the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and the Galaxy Watch 9 series.
