zerologic
Yes I know , I am running on my other machine. It is a vast improvement over 2.0. I know, it seems to load pages faster and just feels snappier in performance. Plus it uses less memory. Great browser.
Calum Veteran Posted May 17, 2008 Veteran Share Posted May 17, 2008 Yes I know , I am running on my other machine. It is a vast improvement over 2.0. I'm interested in how much of an improvement it is over Beta 5 though, as I thought that was amazing. Does anybody know please? ---------------- Now playing on iTunes: Terence Jay - One Blood via FoxyTunes

JustGeorge
If you manually run the FF updater, its already detected. Just an FYI :) Only problem I have is that sometimes when you click the bookmarks button, it brings up the bookmark dialog instead of showing you your bookmarks. Wish they would fix that as its annoying as hell!

sundayx Veteran Posted May 17, 2008 Veteran Share Posted May 17, 2008 I loved how they made special webpages for beta 3 and 4, too bad they don't do it anymore. Nevermind they still do it. http://en-us.www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/3.0rc1/firstrun/
SVG Veteran Posted May 17, 2008 Veteran Share Posted May 17, 2008 It looks ugly on Vista.. The icons could've been better considering they were making it streamlined with the OS

Fred Derf Veteran Posted May 17, 2008 Veteran Share Posted May 17, 2008 My auto-update from beta5 didn't work (apparently that will work on Monday?) so I went and installed RC1 manually. A bunch of my add-ins and themes no longer work but I can do without that stuff for a bit.

+Warwagon MVC Posted May 17, 2008 MVC Share Posted May 17, 2008 What, you go looking for evidence of airbrushing? Na but small, images on websites zoom in quite well with the image zoom extension. I"ve been using this extension for as long as I can remember.
P!P
I just upgraded from Beta 5 to RC1. The UI has been updated. The bookmarks manager was updated to the Vista UI look. It wasn't there in B5... was it?

P!P
I'm not sure if this was in Beta 5 but I love the new easy restore feature in the Bookmarks manager. Easier than manually renaming my file when the bookmarks file got corrupt.
