+Frank B. Subscriber² Posted May 17, 2008 Author Subscriber² Share Posted May 17, 2008 The only thing that still bothers me is the back and forward buttons. They look like **** honestly. Besides that, everything is perfect. I think it integrates perfectly to Vista. Even though it's not as pretty as IE7, it is superior to IE in every other way. I was critical of the 'keyhole' back/forward button at first also. It grows on you over time though. And if you don't like it... Firefox 3 is still fully themeable. The window frame is, thanks to an extension. Is it a must-have? In my opinion no.

AaronMT
Why does the vista version look so incredible ugly with the dreary gray? It's a shame, it reminds me of Windows 98's Rainy Day visual theme. :(

sachleen
Just installed it. looks good. I have been using opera for the past 2 days and just HAD to see if FF was better (havn't decided yet, still playing w/ it) :p I hate the default theme lol. rpgfan
All I use is the default theme, and I must say that it has improved considerably over other FF versions (excluding nightlies because I don't use those). I do use the small icons rather than the large ones though. I like the keyhole, but I prefer to have as much vertical area for my viewport as possible. In any case, RC1 is an improvement, though I'm not fond of the "Most Recently Bookmarked" bit in the Bookmarks toolbar. I deleted that on sight. :p I also haven't experienced any crashes with RC1, unlike the frequent crashes that I got with Beta 5, so I'm happy. For a while, I was seriously considering switching back to FF2... Most of my extensions aren't compatible, but some still work properly. There isn't anything other than laziness preventing me from trying to find alternatives to the ones that don't work. :p

Hey, at least you are not on ubuntu ehhe .Firefox on ubuntu looks really ugly when compared to how it looks on vista. IMO: FF3 OS X > FF3 win xp > ff3 vista > __netscape 1.0 __ > Ff3 on ubuntu. I think they took the 'native' look way too far.
