A huge thank you to all in our community who have taken the time and effort to make some incredible submissions to our 31 days of the dragon competition, in association with HP and Buzzcorps.

It's been a frantic week with a total of 92 different individuals showing off their not inconsiderable talents for a chance to win the laptop package worth over $5,000. The entries have now closed and the difficult job of judging awaits our staff team.

We'll be announcing the winner some time this week, along with a run down of some of our favourite entries. Keep checking our Neowin Announcements forum to find out if you're a winner! Thank you again for making this an enjoyable contest for all.

You can use this thread to discuss some of your favourite entries from the competition :)

Nothing like being last minute. Spent a lot of time on this one though, so it stands to reason I suppose. :)

Heh, I swear I was already registered, cause I'm around here a lot. But I guess I never had, so I had to take care of that real quick as well. Anyway, hope you like it!

:)

Ack, well the attachment didn't work, and now the topic is closed. In any case here's a link:

If I'm disqualified, it's my fault for being too detailed. ;)

You know, a podcast with you and BangBang discussing your favs or maybe singing a little would be good. :p

Preferably the singing...drunk singing...drunk naked singing.

But singing none the less. :D

God, I gave mine a second listen after a couple of hours. It's unbelievably bad :pinch:

Thats why I carried on drinking after recording mine, that way it can only sound better :p

Drunk naked singing - I'm scared. Is this a pass-time of yours? :p Anyway, its a podcast - they could lie and really be clothed!

Anyway - good luck everyone who entered. Some of the entries were a good laugh.

    • It won't perform hugely better than the 3080 unless you're VRAM limited in games. Have you tried putting new thermal pads on them 3080 and giving it a good clean to see if you can regain your temps and overclock?
    • Windows 95 offered the ability to add and edit the right click menus, on a per file type basis. This feature seems to be missing in the new file explorer. Are they bringing it back as a "new" feature?
    • It's nearly time to replace my aging Founders Edition 3080, it doesn't OC as nicely as it used to and it's running around 10c warmer than it did when I first bought it.  I don't have budget for much more than what I spent on the 3080 and locally, that means the best GPU I can manage is a 9070XT. On this basis I have a few questions: 1. At present I don't use ray tracing, if this was to change, would this GPU be an issue? 2. How does it compare on a performance basis? 3. Are the drivers worse or better than those for nVidia? 4. Linux support, is it there? 5. Anything else I should be aware of if I were to make this change? 6. Is it a good idea or shall I try and keep the 3080 a little longer.
    • What OS is that? It looks a bit like Mac OS but the command line suggests it isn't, either way I like it!
