Hm.. considerably odd that Villa, Everton and City are being picked as a better chance of taking the crown than United, the Pool or even Chelsea.

Seems I would put my money on any of those 3 than Arsenal.

There lack of maturity, might finally be gone this season but without some real back bone in midfield, they won't have much steam for the length of the whole season.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has given a positive update on the fitness of Eduardo da Silva and Tomas Rosicky.

"The situation is positive for both players," said Wenger. "We believe Tomas could be available in September and Eduardo maybe in November.

"Also it was good for them to be back in this kind of atmosphere. The players enjoy a day like that."

Well I am back from my holiday, anyone miss me :D?

Something's fishy about the poll results. Obiously Arsenal leading it is correct (:p), but everton and man city over Liverpool and Man Utd? And 0 votes for chelsea? Hah!

I'm pretty sure Crazysah swapped some of the teams on the poll, and they already had votes so it has well and truly been messed up.

I declare a new thread created by Martyn!

No point really, considering the length of this one. Now if you were voting for me to become supreme ruler of the Universe...

;)

Welcome back Martyn.. hope u had a nice time on vacations :p

Cheers mate. Just back in time for the start of the football!

Soooo... what an opening day so far :p

Arsenal won and Spurs lost!! :D Doesn't get much better than that for a Gooner ;)

Arsenal again didn't kill the game when they got their chances.. on another day they could've been punished... but its the first day.. and considering there was no Cesc, Rosicky, Toure (did not start) and Eduardo.. the young guns held on for a win like all champs do.. with such a weak bench and a weakened team.. great team effort!!

Nasri showed some superb skills and Adebayor needs to work on his passing game :p

Boro were very impressive and controlled the game..

I won't comment on the losing teams.. other than that Stoke might go down and I think Tigers will stay up..

Lets see what the Reds do.. :)

Liverpool played crap, but we won and got three points so I am happy.

Fernando Torres Liverpool's Number Nine...

NA NA NA NA NA NA NA!!

i missed it cause of a wedding (saw some of it) and wow they played like crap from what i saw, but at least el nino came through

Arsenal played like they should play. They played nice football and won. That's how it is done. Thanks Sam Nasri!

@ MOD: Can you unpiun the other thread and pin this one?

PM a mod it will be easier as some may not read the thread.

Martyn - Yeah I know I was shocked fatboy Ashton scored! twice! but I won't get excited about it.

    • I feel like Surface devices were popular about 10 years ago but have fallen off hard. I can't remember the last time someone talked about a new model Surface with excitement. The fact that the headline here is a new wallpaper and not the device is a bit telling.
    • Weirldy, in Texas the age of consent is 17, not 18.
    • DXVK generally performs better on Linux (using Wine/Proton) than on Windows. Because Linux utilizes highly optimized, open-source Vulkan drivers (like RADV/ACO) that were specifically built for AMD Radeon hardware, the translation of Direct3D 9/11 to Vulkan is highly efficient. But if you take the trouble to watch my video, you can see that there are also advantages for Nvidia users. You see that I run Assassin's Creed Odyssey on 4GB RAM and on an i3-3240. What do you think are the minimum system requirements for windows11? For CPU-based rendering, Linux is generally faster than windows11 by about 15% due to lighter background overhead and efficient kernel scheduling.
