Killzone 2

I thought you are not allowed to resell these?

You won't be, someone could get their ass handed to them.

Wouldn't put it past these discs being stamped/coded somehow to link back to what firm/group of journalists they were sent to. Maybe not individual people, but like a batch of discs being stamped "Gamespot".

Ebay will probably pull the auction before it finishes anyway.

That is what I am thinking. Although I have seen Review copies being sold on eBay before that did finish so who knows but anyone who is stupid enough to pay at amount of money needs their brain checking.

"Killzone 2 is one of the most gorgeous and atmospheric FPS ever released, surprassing easily everything the PS3 has to offer. It's easily one of the best games of 2009. What will happen with the franchise in the future? We hope that it will be successful, reaching heights of happines never reached before and bringing a real conclusion to the unfinished saga. When and how it will happen? Only God knows - he likes to be called Guerilla Games nowdays"

And for those interested

The review embargo for Killzone 2 lifts on February 2, which is when the Internet will become flooded with tons of analysis from critics around the world.

Watch around 2.12 for the Helghan that does a forward roll over some debris. Cool stuff. :p

Yeah that's had gif treatment already :p

Guys, question, I did like Resistance 1 and was planning to get Resistance 2 too, shall i get it or simply skip that and get Killzone2 ? i dont think i will be able to focus on playing resistance 2 and killzone news running everywhere. :p

I enjoy R2 online, it's more in-line with Halo/COD and other fast paced/twitchy shooters. I'm not that great at games like that though, which is why I am also now kind of waiting on KZ2 (coupled with the fact it has classes, I play pretty awesome as a support class... medic in TF2 FTW!). Although I was playing some R2 last night.

It seems KZ2 online is a little slower/more tactical.

If you can get it cheap, I'd go for it. It's the only game with 8 player Co-Op which you might find a decent timesink.

Art for this game is pretty awesome - I have no idea how this passed in Germany, I'm beginning to think that's a rumour :p

I wouldn't be surprised if it was false tbh, was it actually confirmed?

A well known/respected user on NeoGAF posted it, I'll try and see if he linked a source. I believe it may have come from a press release?

But with all the violence/swearing/blood and complete Nazi-style imagery, I doubt it.

Unless Sony impressed the officials of Germany that well with the game play

Are we expecting big numbers from Killzone 2 then? I hear they are expecting sales in the MGS4 range, which I find difficult to believe considering the little to no marketing this game has had.

The game isn't out for over a month. Expect marketing to start up around the time reviews are released (beginning of Feb). We already have a European KZ2 bundle confirmed also.

It's an FPS, the most popular genre of games, and one that's probably going to score highly. It's going to sell well.

The graphics are the best seen yet, online play has some pretty fresh ideas and community support (clan system/tournaments) is top notch. Meaning it has stand out points, it's not just a recycled FPS.

No competing FPS games are released around the same time as it either, at least nothing like Halo/COD.

The online following is starting to reach the cult levels seen for things like Halo, and while those people draw much negative attention as they go ballistic if their game is in anyway criticized, that sort of following makes Halo as popular as it is today.

Look at the size of the NeoGAF KZ2 topic - http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=342018

It's getting pretty crazy.

I personally can see it easily becoming the best selling PS3 game so far - MGS4 currently holds that position (I think?).

Sony do need some good marketing campaigns though, no doubts, a big cult following online ain't gonna do everything for you, it just helps.

It's no Halo killer, nothing will ever be, or has to be - But it's definitely shaping up to be Sony's exclusive FPS that could deliver the rabid fanbase Halo does exclusively for MS.

"the most spectacular shooter ever seen in PS3"

Thank goodness the days of Haze seem to be behind us

Although I'm more interested in seeing how reviews pan on from the 2nd of Feb.

And here's a good clean shot of the badass snipers

    • RevPDF 4.5.0 by Razvan Serea RevPDF is a free, fully offline PDF editor for Windows, macOS, and Linux that lets you edit text and images directly inside PDF files — no internet connection, no account, and no cloud uploads required. Unlike bloated alternatives that demand subscriptions and constant connectivity, RevPDF fits in under 60MB on desktop while delivering a complete editing toolkit: annotate, redact, sign, compress, split, merge, convert, and reorganize pages, all processed locally on your device. Smart font matching ensures edited text blends seamlessly with the original, and multi-language support includes RTL scripts such as Arabic and Hebrew. Where most PDF editors force you to choose between features and simplicity, RevPDF manages both. You can build interactive forms from scratch with text fields, checkboxes, and dropdowns, permanently redact sensitive data before sharing, draw freehand on contracts and diagrams, and add custom watermarks — all without a single file leaving your machine. Edit Text and Images Directly Inside PDFs RevPDF supports true inline PDF editing — not just annotation layers on top of a document, but actual modification of existing text and images within the file. A smart font-matching engine identifies the font used in the original document and applies it automatically when you make edits, so changes blend naturally with the surrounding content. You can reposition elements, resize images, and update text across single pages or entire documents. RevPDF 4.5.0 release notes: This is one of the biggest updates to RevPDF yet. A lot of things people have been asking for are finally here. New Features Auto Redaction Permanently redact sensitive text and areas from your PDFs before sharing. Clean, irreversible, and fully offline. Comments, Links & Bookmarks Add comments for review, insert clickable links, and create bookmarks to jump around long documents without scrolling forever. Find & Replace Search across the whole document and replace text in one go. Long overdue. Split Pages Vertically or Horizontally Split any page down the middle, vertically or horizontally. Perfect for scanned books or double-page spreads. New Drawing Tools More tools for freehand drawing and markup, better for annotations, sketches, and detailed notes. Continuous Scrolling in Editor The editor now scrolls continuously through pages instead of jumping between them. Working through long documents is a lot smoother now. PDF Metadata Editor View and edit the metadata stored inside your PDFs, including title, author, subject, and keywords. Better Font Matching Text edits now blend in more naturally by doing a better job of matching the original font. Tabbed PDF Viewer Open multiple PDFs at once in tabs and switch between them without going back to the home screen. Add Links Insert hyperlinks anywhere in your PDF, to external URLs or to other pages within the document. Share & Print Shortcuts Share or print directly from the editing screen, home screen, and viewer. No extra steps. Minor Updates Paste images directly from clipboard into your PDF New image editing tools for more control over images inside documents Bug Fixes Fixed file saving issues on Windows and Linux Everything still works fully offline. No login, no cloud, no account. Your files stay on your device. • Interesting. I'm not using a VPN with my phone. I tried though my home internet (Rogers) and my cellular internet (Telus) using their respective DNS servers and both trigger the dialog above.
