I'm still shocked at how badly it was dealt with by Eurogamer. No doubt more will show up anyway in the coming weeks.

As with the discussion about beta definition. 90% just want in for free software, only a few actually give feedback and do what a beta test is there for. This goes for everything, not just console gamers.

Ahhhhhhh 96% complete on level 2, I don't know what I'm missing :(

From the level info I'm missing 2 things :(

Hehe it stores the pictures you've taken such as those in Co-Op and it gives you links to the peoples profiles who are in the picture!

Just as an example, would you be able to invite me to level 2 and we could look for those missing things together?

Yeah!

I think if you're missing more than me, items you don't have will show as items to you/as blue orbs to me if I've collected them.

Doesn't matter who picks them up, scazza was picking up things earlier and I was still getting credit for them.

Uh nice, just used to most games where you have to join a multiplayer lobby or do handstands to invite people into single-player games.

But I'll go try out level 2 :p

Yeah I was hitting "play online" instead of "play myself" and people just ended up playing at the same time haha.

It seems quite easy to get folk playing alongside you.

I don't even have Invite under options there :|

When you click friends it should show you who on your PSN list is playing.

Under their names it says "Invite & Join".

But for some reason both are scored out under you're name haha.

Nothing here, don't even have those options.

Mah' PS3 be broken :(

No? :/

Corris just joined me!

See how your invite/join is scored out? :/

So is Corris' but that's cause that's him in the background!

Wait, you got a friends list In-game :| ?

I only have "Manage Players" crossed out, "Videos And Voice Overs" and "Settings"

I'm so lost right now

Ahhh I know why!

You have to complete 3 levels first to unlock online play/edit mode :)

Damnit, When the download was complete it was too late to play it and I had to go to bed. Sounds awesome though and I cannot wait to play it when I get home from College this evening (Hopefully we will finish early). :)

Yeah, I read that yesterday when I was waiting for it to download. :(

    • Yeah, this is absolutely nothing new and EA have done it before. Burnout Paradise, released in 2008, had dynamic advertising billboards that were updated via the internet and targeted people based on location and what EA knew about them from their profile. It was particularly notable for the fact that the Obama presidential campaign ran ads in the game, in an attempt to reach a younger audience who didn't watch broadcast TV any more. It was by no means the first though. Battlefield 2142 from 2006 had the same thing. In fact, Neowin wrote a story about it back then. https://www.neowin.net/news/ba...-in-game-ads-clarification/
    • This is obviously aimed at the education where Apple has lost so much ground to Chromebooks in the last few years, but unless they come up with a comparable management system for education why would anyone switch back?
    • Here's how we arrived at that claim: Note that this is just Play Store downloads. The app is also available on the Galaxy App Store
    • Google Play states the app had more than 50 million downloads. What other metric do you suggest should be used?
    • MSN defined our generation in some ways, kind of like Snapchat and TikTok have done for future generations. I have great memories of the MSN era in the late 90s / early 2000s. In the UK everyone seemed to come home from School and go on MSN for the evening. We didn't really have mobile phones then, so other than going and knocking on your friends door it was a totally new way of interacting with people. I also loved how I could talk to people I’d met playing online games from around the world. Inviting people to NetMeeting and messing about with the shared white board and webcams was pretty fun, even if webcams only ran at a couple of fps over dial-up. All the random things you could do with MsgPlus! were really fun - I suspect that made a few people jump with /shello randomly blasting Mr Hankey out their speakers! Maybe I’m just nostalgic, however I do feel the internet and computers were more fun back then.
