Are you sure Shell32? Shell32 contains icons, bmps and such and for the most part they're over 8 megs of space. Anyway, if you follow, just make you're own shell32. I use MicroAngelo's Librarian to change the stuff.

Numb, I don't believe anyone has modified the shell32.dll to match the visual style, nor have I seen anyone mention that they planning on doing so. For that matter there are no specific Classix icons that I'm aware of, only various ones that seem to match the style rather well.

Saint Dark, how did you remove the "Windows XP Professional" tag in the start menu and the "My Documents" folder in your screenshot?

To get rid of the Recent Documents menu you'll have to add a value in your registry (find a tutorial here), and to get rid of the banner delete bitmap #166 (in Home Edition) or bitmap #167 (in Professional) in explorer.exe with Reshacker. Hope I helped! :happy:

Can someone help me out with the shplayer.dll? I moved it to \Windows\System32 after renaming it, and still nothing. Everytime I minimize I get the default garrish player.

To change it, open AimRes.dll in ResHacker, expand the "GIFDATA" tree, and replace value 103 with this gif.

Gigatexel. That is a MUCH better start menu. That was the one thing that sortof bugged be about the older classix...especially since I dont use user pics...was wishing for a solid, cleaner, leaner design for the user name...and thats exactly what I see in this user pic...Is this version coming out soon?

Thanks guys, the new start menu will be in the next update. I also plan on tweaking some other things like shellstyles, the taskbar (no the line is staying :() and maybe the combo button thingy. I'll send an email to the list when it's close to being done. :)
