Damn! So I'm not doing anywhere near as good as I thought I was. lol

Pulling those barrel rolls off, is so bloody hard. Loving it though.

Actually you may or may not be getting good times, it depends on when the thing updates, like i played on Thursday a lot and my scores were no where, then on Sunday i started to see my scores on the Global list, so who knows... hopefully they will fix that in the future, they got the rest of the game right, cant believe something as simple as sending/receiving times and synchronizing them to the server would cause this much problems, i mean even playing the game online is lag free.

Yeah, that is crazy. Seems like the simplest of things.

Would be pretty cool if you could view replays, and upload them directly to youtube, or any other video sharing site.

haha that would be Sick!!!, maybe some day it will happen, i know Sony is planning to include a "Take Picture" mode directly from the XMB, so who knows what the future will bring.

Would be nice, PixelJunk Eden managed the Youtube upload so would of been cool if maybe the Liverpool Studios could maybe patch it in one day :)

I have to say, this game looks amazing, but it does have a let down... im crap at it >.<

it takes me dozens and dozens of attempts to get to a podium position, and even then it takes me a load more attempts to get gold :(

are you guys using the motion control or joystick ?

lol, I totally feel you clx

I was able to past Uplift relatively easy... but not Warped.. after trying for like 2 hours... there are still 3 cells in Warped that I can't pass, and I'm missing 4 points to unlock Frenzy.

I'm using the joystick, just because I didn't have the patience to adjust the SIXAXIS sensitivity settings.

My worst type of race BY FAR is Zones.... I can barely make it past Zone 12 - lol

And looking at the trophies really made me laugh:

- Campaign Legend - Obtain a gold medal for every cell in Race Campaign

- Airbraker - Reach Zone 50 (Subsonic) in Zone Mode on any track using only airbrakes and sideshift. Motion sensor controls must be turned off

- Zone Zeus - In Zone Mode, reach Zone 75 on any track

- Arcade Perfect - Finish 1st on all 16 tracks in Phantom class Racebox races on Elite difficulty

I'm not sure if I will ever make it to that point - lol

Wipeout has always been about learning the track design. The sheer pace of the game means you really do need to know the next few corners in advance :)

I love the game and can see me playing it for quite a while yet, not even tried the online side.

i have learnt most of the tracks so far (got all gold for uplift, and all gold but 1 for warped) but its just getting that perfect lap :/

I tried online, and i can quite proudly say i have a 100% gold record online :D

that may be because i only did 1 race... but i won it! and on a track i had never seen before no less! :D

question about a trophy:

Flatland Flyer - Execute and land a successful barrel roll on Moa Therma

(Moa Therma is the one with the electrified floors in "warped")

Has anyone gotten this as yet?? I can't find a spot to execute any sort of barrel roll on that track... some pointers would be nice ;)

What he said ^^^

Guys have patience, it gets really really addicting once you start learning the tracks and get used to the speeds.

I'm already there - lol. spent about 4 hours playing yesterday, and about 5 today >__< I don't even notice that I spend that much time on it.

On the last corner before the start finish straight there is a speed up pod on the right hand side, you need to boost into the left side barrier will shoot you up and over :)

Edited by Abandoned-Trolley

I guess I never noticed that bump 'cause I hardly ever make that speed pod :p

thanks :)

edit:

oh, and for those you don't know how to do the "boost at start"... all you have to do is hit "X" (accelerate button) as soon as the count-down turns to "GO". This will give you a nice little boost at the start. If you hit "X" any time during the count down... it won't work....

Yep, looks that way. Which is a shame (for me) as I don't have a credit card and you can't get prepaid PSN cards in Australia.

Can't you just give somebody the cash, and get them to buy it for you?

Hey CY:G, just added you to my PSN friends list.

Also noticed you got the 20 Consecutive Perfect Zones trophy. Nice!

Awesome, i will accept your friendship as soon as i get home and THANKS, it was a bitch to get that trophy :D

What!!! How's that work?

So you could get the game for free!!!! Does the original download get disabled?

Yes you can get it for free if you find someone to share games with and no, you keep the game in your PS3, the game can only be shared up to five times though.

That was a pain in the arse trying to get it right, took me ages

    • Amazon Prime Day slashes Samsung's newest Galaxy Watch Ultra by 45 percent by Karthik Mudaliar Samsung’s flagship Android smartwatch has received one of its steepest Prime Day cuts. Amazon has dropped the 2025 Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra in Titanium Blue to $357.24, saving buyers around $292 from its $649.99 list price. That's a 45 percent discount (purchase link below). The 47mm Galaxy Watch Ultra uses a titanium casing and a 1.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 480 and peak brightness of 3,000 nits. It includes LTE connectivity, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi, NFC, and dual-frequency L1+L5 GPS for more accurate outdoor route tracking. The 2025 model has 64GB of storage, a 590mAh battery, sapphire crystal glass, 10ATM water resistance, IP68 protection, and MIL-STD-810H durability testing. Its health and fitness tools include heart rate monitoring, sleep coaching, Energy Score, Running Coach, body composition analysis, temperature sensing, and ECG support, where available. This model is best suited to Android users who regularly run, hike, cycle, or train outdoors and want cellular access without carrying a phone. • Google begins rolling out its post-Epic Play Store billing model next week by Karthik Mudaliar Google has confirmed that its redesigned Play Store billing and fee structure will take effect on June 30, 2026, in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Economic Area. The changes will let eligible developers offer their own payment systems or send users to an external website for purchases, while separating Google’s platform service fee from the cost of using Google Play Billing. The rollout puts concrete dates and detailed rate cards behind the broader Android policy overhaul Google announced in March. That announcement followed a proposed settlement with Epic Games intended to resolve their long-running disputes over app distribution and payments, although the U.S. portion of the agreement still requires court approval. Under the new billing choice program, developers selling digital content or services can display an alternative payment option alongside Google Play Billing. They may also direct users to their own websites to complete a purchase. Developers can use Google’s standard payment-choice screen or design one that complies with the company’s user-interface rules. Choosing another payment processor does not eliminate Google’s cut altogether. The company will continue charging a service fee for transactions associated with apps distributed through Google Play, regardless of whether payment is handled by Google, an alternative provider, or a developer’s website. Google argues that this fee covers the value and infrastructure provided by Android and the Play Store. For developers earning up to $1 million annually, the service fee will generally be 10 percent. That rate also applies to auto-renewing subscriptions. When Google Play Billing is used in the U.S., U.K., or EEA, Google will add a separate 5 percent billing fee, and developers processing payments elsewhere will not pay that additional charge. This means Google’s familiar flat 30 percent commission is disappearing, but developers will not necessarily see a dramatic reduction on every transaction. An in-app purchase from an existing user processed through Google Play Billing can still reach a combined 30 percent. The biggest savings are likely to come from subscriptions, smaller developers covered by the $1 million tier, and companies able to move customers to their own payment infrastructure. Google is also offering lower rates through its Apps Experience and revamped Games Level Up programs. Apps and games that satisfy the company’s requirements can qualify for 15 percent service fees on new-install transactions and 20 percent on existing-install transactions. The criteria include performance and reliability standards, support for additional Android device categories, and selected platform features. Those program rates are scheduled to become available in the initial markets and Australia on September 30. For consumers, the immediate effect will depend on whether developers adopt alternative payments and pass any savings on through lower prices. For developers, however, June 30 begins a more flexible but considerably more complicated Play Store economy in which distribution, billing, install dates, revenue thresholds, and program participation can each affect Google’s final cut. Google is also separately developing a Registered App Stores program designed to simplify the installation of qualifying third-party stores. That initiative is expected to arrive with a major Android release later in 2026 and will launch outside the U.S. first. Google says the rest of the world will receive the changes by September 30, 2027, although billing rates for markets outside the US, UK, and EEA have not yet been announced.
