[Official] Call of Duty: World at War

Took me a few tries of Veteran and once I passed it I was pretty happy. The game is so dumb on Veteran all I see is grenades so sick of them.

I was able to get through the tank and plane mission without dying but I didn't kill 45 Zeros. After trying the Heart mission for about an hour, I gave up and decided to get my 45 Zeros before going to bed. I ended up getting 50 :D At this point, I have the last two missions to complete on Veteran and then I'm done. Getting bombarded with grenades sucks, what sucks even more is when I would run to different spots to crouch and hear the continuous clanks of grenades being thrown at me...

tanks aren't so bad. I was worried they would kill the game myself, but after playing for a while, they are way to easy to avoid, and you can just pick off a person manning the machine gun on top.

Completed the game again but this time on hardened difficulty. The second last level was kinda tough to complete. Germans were keep respawing. I killed over 150-200 germans in that level. :p

Too bad the game has poor replay value. :(

Bwahahaha... I just completed Veteran. Downfall wasn't nearly as tough as Heart of Reich. In fact, Downfall was much like what the game should've been on Veteran. Heart of Reich was retarded, Downfall was spot on. Now to get the last two death cards and try my best to get the Blue Ribbon.

Edit: Got the cards, but man... this game just pulled one on me. I just got done with a competitive coop on Blowtorch and Corkscrew and was in first place, but one of the players timed out before the story portion at the end finished, therefor the mission didn't end with four people, but three, thus robbing me from the last achievement. Joygasm!

Even Microsoft Call It Call of Duty 5! WHY!

They really need to patch the under the map crap on Castle. It's getting to the point I just quit any games played on that map. It's a shame, too, cause I like the map.

Had a good time playing with you the brief time we did play, definitely have to play some more in the future.

Yeah, sorry. The best time for me to play is early in the day after work (since I work a very early shift) or on my days off. Last night I was expecting a call from my girlfriend, but not that soon and on the weekends, I have no time to play at all since I spend them with her.

It was nice playing with people I could communicate with, though. Instead of saying I need help only to watch a guy run in the opposite direction.

so uh.. There were some servers up 2 days ago that were "Powerleveling Servers" I mean some people were getting 20k xp per round, and jumping 10-15 levels in a round.. It was so cheating.....

I hope they fix that soon.

Sorry to DirtyLarry and anyone else I bailed on. My gf just got a new phone and I was walking her through how to unlock it and do this and that (windows mobile device) so I got frustrated and just shut off the damn console.

Got the game today when game shopping.

Played only about 15-20 mins, first campaign mission then a bit on-line.

The first on-line match I went into I got killed quite a lot, but there were quite a few levels which I thought was a bit daft since surely it should be kept to reasonably low levels, but ah well.

Second game I started getting use to it, came top, which was pretty good since I was the lowest and there was a 20 something level on there.

But my gawd, on-line should be called "Shoot the dogs mode" or something, I have a feeling I am going to see a lot more of those damn dogs in the coming days.

I played it on the regular difficulty before my brother got this game for me for Christmas, but let me just say that Treyarch royally messed up the Veteran difficulty with the grenade spamming. Making a game cheap to make it harder is just stupid.

I still stand by my original assessment, too: not by any means a bad game, but inferior to Infinity Ward's versions and does nothing to advance the series.

Actually that's the signature of Veteran difficulty of all Call of Duty games, mass grenade spamming.

Though yes, Treyarch have royally messed up Veteran mode, just not by grenade spamming.

    • Do you live in the U.K? Do any of the people here that are against the UK leaving the E.U, live in the U.K? If not then why are you bothered? If you do live here then it is a different thing . Brexit was a good idea, should have done it years before, it was done badly, but the idea was good. You are saying the same thing as remainers do, oh we did what Putin wanted, we listened to the lies and Farage. I hate Farage and never believed most of what he said, certainly did not believe the £350m a week for the NHS. But we did pay a lot of money to the E.U and yes some of it came back, but what is the point of paying it out for only some of it to come back? Get out of the E.U, no money to them and in theory we can use the money to do things in the country. I said in theory, but our governments are a total and complete waste of space. No matter what colour rosette they wear. You and others say it was a mistake and yet the two main parties in the U.K are not looking at rejoining the EU, I wonder why that is? I was not tricked by anyone. Makes no odds now, we are out and have been for 10 years, what we need is a decent government to run the country. All they do is shout at each other like a load of kids and seems to do nothing and make this country more into a police and nanny state. Getting more like China all the time.

    • Yeah... The root of my comment, ostensibly, is how to spin the story via the actual technical merits of the solution! * Decentralized (aka federated) solution with built-in encrypted ephemeral message transport, * Transport via Relays (intermediary servers) with no message archival, * Second configurable pathway are actual email servers (if DNS records are programmed accordingly) via IMAP protocols carriage, * "Chat-over-Email" is the design pattern adopted; it can either leverage full-blown Email Server (must use the INBOX folder) to exchange all received messages/edits/reactions (so be weary of notifications overloads) [best practice is creating a separate email acct used explicitly for federated chat purposes!] or leverage its built-in Relay Server mechanism which actually resides on-device (by default but can be configured otherwise), * By virtue of be a decentralized/federated model, all other intermediary servers who may pass-along messages (while the recipient's final relay/device is inaccessible) cannot snoop on the messages due to the encrypted nature of contents. The intermediaries may, however, analyze the metadata due to the simple fact that routing mechanisms require hints for relay destinations. Unfortunately, whomever is posting about DeltaChat across socials are misleading with "zero metadata" claims -- especially when the Relays (according to their own technical documents) mandate the addition of chat-version metadata and other decorations in order to actually transport any message. -- Based on this summary, I'd prefer if they'd better dual-path message transport (email server add-in, federated relay engine) rather than patch-on email protocols to existing federated social media frameworks. They're frankensteining something rather than extending widely-deployed technology stacks.
    • Decentralized search result anonymization...
    • Russia invaded Crimea, so not sure what you are getting at. Are you saying that the E.U is like what the USSR was? What is wrong with wanting control over your own country? i bet Trump would not stand by and allow Canada to control the U.S.
