NXE Review By Rahul

Thanks Rahul, everything you mentioned is relevant to my interests.

Tried watching a .mkv file? Just in case they added the ability to watch Hi-Def movies :D

MKV is just a file container.

They are not going to support it because nothing is legally distributed in the MKV container. It's an open source container that the pirates use right now basically

It's what's inside that counts (Video/Audio formats). You don't really need MKV support at all to play HD content on your PS3/360.

If you're ripping your own movies, any 720p/1080p will work on your PS3/360.

I believe MajorNelson said anyone can install the update to their 360 (he mentioned it because if you move your HDD with the update to another box, it'll prompt the update on that box). He said that it'd work, but you won't be able to sign onto Xbox Live until the 19th.

Sure is tempting, is it possible to remove it again?

lol @ those who installed it. No GOW2 multiplayer for you :p

Playing Fable 2 without waking up my house > GOW2 multiplayer

for me :p

Installing to hard disc now, probably gonna take about 5-10 mins.

I take it, we wouldn't be able to fully customize our avatar, stream Netflix in HD, or basically do anything on the NXE if we can't connect to Live, so in all actuality, it's really not worth it at all to update 2 weeks before it's out.

No.

All you get is a feel of the dash, and for me Hard drive installs which are what I want most.

It's pretty and smooth!
