please i dont want to hit a tranny in HOME :p

yeah, it was a just in case thing. just in case i decide to have a sex change in home :p

and the summer house is awesome. it'll be my new default space.

Download everything :p

Hi beta testers!

After our scheduled downtime is up early Thursday morning, items will be reinstated in the Mall. Our advice: Go and get them as soon as you can. For a short time only, these items will be free. And you will retain them after Open Beta. But if you snooze on this you lose, because these will be for sale items after Open Beta, when we start our commerce model. Not to worry though, they will be cheap, and we will continue to have free items in Home on a regular basis.

Consider this a thank you for being beta testers. You all are great!

~CydoniaX and Locust_Star

Will we still be able to keep the items if we have only accessed Home through downloading the game from someone else's account? (eg. Abandoned-Trolly's)

Yes it doesn't matter, you have home on your PS3.

what are you guys getting / storing?

or buying? :D

If you go into the shopping centre section and check out every shop then it has a few items for free, that presumably when Home opens will not be. (eg. clothes, items for your apartment, etc)

I got everything as well (Obviously lol). How come the lady's get a new pair of shades, and we don't? Seems they have put a stop to cross dressing ever happening too.

Take it nobody has figured out what that sound is yet?

Well.. the Download just doesnt finishes. keeps aborting. i even get Signed out from PSN during download. I guess some millions users are hitting the download .

damn i am tired after trying for nearly 20 times i think for past hours. will retry later again. i hope its not Final or Gold version cause i still am not sure when i was purchasing from Store. everything bought was added to my name or not. cause i had power-cut-off thing late night yesterday and i dozed off.

Looks like it could be the 16th...

Hmm. Here's something interesting. PlayStation Home is currently in closed beta right? The start of the open beta hasn't been given an exact date yet aside from a vague "by Christmas" target, but it looks like we could be seeing it in less than two weeks' time.

We spotted this interesting little tidbit in a recent Home feature published on the Times Online UK website (emphasis ours):

To try Home, which is slated for release in the next 10 days, players must download a piece of free software from Sony?s PlayStation store onto their own PS3.

Does the Times Online know something about Home that we don't? Maybe, maybe not. take it with a grain of salt guys. As for us, we'll keep our eyes peeled for any further developments in the coming days.

damn, its utterly boring to visit home now to hear SAME music, same surrounding's, same video trailers(ads) on big boards, and same GAME (bowling/pool). they need to spice it up. maybe HOME police should stop by and do search or something, some drive by shooting... something man. its very SMALLL place there.

lets see. i am definately bored of it now but hoping they will keep it interesting and have some innovative moves to make home exciting place to be , even after a week :D

Trouble is, it'll probably be updated with large intervals inbetween and when a new update comes out, people will rush to download it. It won't be long til they are bored of the new additions/areas too.

You know when you played The Sims 1/2 expansions it didn't really add any life to the game. You quickly got bored of it after a few hours experimenting with the new furniture etc etc. I suspect Home will be the same unless they are constantly changing stuff. If the beta is anything to go by though, fat chance!

This topic is now closed to further replies.

    • If they ever come out and say the AI is no longer accessible to the gen pop people aren't going to know how to tie their own shoelaces.
    • It's hard not to when they are shoehorning Ai into EVERYTHING. Some are active users by choice, I bet a lot of them are because it's shoved in their face the entire time.

    • Nearly half of American adults now use AI, but concerns are also growing by Hamid Ganji Since the launch of ChatGPT in 2022, the way people research, get their news, and perform routine tasks has changed dramatically. Now, almost everything around us has a touch of AI, and companies are trying to embed it into nearly every product and service they offer. With that in mind, new research shows how Americans are actually adopting this change and using AI in their everyday lives. According to new research conducted by the Pew Research Center, 49% of American adults now use AI chatbots like ChatGPT or Gemini. This marks a significant increase over last year, when only 33% of American adults reported using AI. Additionally, four in ten U.S. adults (42%) said they use AI tools to research information, while 38% said they use these tools to handle tasks at work. Entertainment, image and video editing, and getting medical advice are among the other ways Americans are using AI. Moreover, ChatGPT dominates the U.S. AI market, with 44% of respondents saying they use OpenAI's chatbot. Gemini follows at 24%, while Copilot and Meta AI account for 17% and 14%, respectively. Respondents also said that AI chatbots generally have a positive impact on their productivity and how informed they are. But when it comes to AI’s impact on society, Americans remain largely skeptical. About 40% of American adults believe AI will be more harmful than beneficial to society over the next 20 years. Additionally, 31% expect AI to have a negative effect on them personally. Another 31% of respondents say AI could be equally positive and negative. As for data security, pessimism remains high: 71% of respondents say AI will make their personal information less secure, while only 3% believe it will make their data more secure. American adults also largely lack confidence in both the government and AI companies when it comes to regulating and developing AI. About 67% of Americans have little to no confidence in the U.S. government’s ability to regulate AI effectively. Six in ten adults are also not confident that U.S. companies will develop and use these tools responsibly.
