[Official] Playstation Home

Buying stuff like that online would die down eventually, it?s new and fresh but after you spend like $30.00 to $40.00 bucks you realize that it's just not worth it.

Just look what happen to 360, theme and gamerpic etc they put everything on sale and I rarely see anyone with a gamerpic which was bought. I understand Sony has to generate money somehow, since they aren't charging for PSN and the cost of developing home.

Microsoft "will not be using Home"

Microsoft has dismissed reports that it's planning to use Sony's PS3 virtual world Home to host business meetings.

"Microsoft will not be using Home as a tool for virtual meetings," the company told us following a recent report to the contrary.

Last week GAAP claimed MS would be one of a number of big companies using Home for meetings in a bid to reduce costs and carbon emissions, but according to the platform holder it's perfectly capable of staging its own virtual bashes.

"With fantastic Microsoft-developed products and applications like Live Meeting and even Xbox Live Party, we have everything we need to host a virtual meeting in-house," it said.

We were sceptical about the original report, and clearly with good reason.

LMFAO, why would they use home anyway?!

Would probably be like 2 hours of;

"Hey can you guys hear me?"

"You are breaking up"

"Should be fixed now, welcome to our first business meeting within Playstat ..."

"WHAT?"

"Someone is pumping in my face, could we get rid of him?"

"Where did John go?"

"John got disconnected"

"Where did Sarah go?"

"She ran from all the guys chasing her"

Would be a massive failure

And yes Jeremy, one of the godfathers of software and easily one of the most important companies in the world that ever was. Love them or hate them, can't deny they have shaped and changed the world with their products

Shall I start writing a list of the products Sony created ripped off ;)?

Or maybe the failed ventures they undertook? Both are getting pretty long these days :p

No, far too much level headed and thought provoking discussion will entail leaving us with 15 pages of unbiased and worthwhile discussion from the legions of business entrepreneurs, and highly rated gaming/financial analysts that reside on NW.

joke post

We've seen what joke posts and sarcasm does to threads in the gamers hangout, why not leave it out all together? Or at least try to.

So have Apple, and I would put their software (and hardware) well above that of any other company. MS have just ripped people off from day one, then monopolised, charged the earth, made a fortune, and now buy everything they want to win.

Not a great business model, although it is successful.

Does this comment of yours apply to DM's post as well then Brad? You only seemed to quote me ;)

Chill out man, me and DM are on a good vibe, he knows I'm pulling his leg :p

Yeah, I replied to you because it was the freshest post of the matter.

Still, someone who has jumped into a thread and flames people for arguing really doesn't do anything to help the matter at hand.

I am not starting a versus discussion between Apple and MS. I said MS is one of the godfathers of software and they are. So what is your problem now? This has absolutely nothing to do with Apple, why even bother bringing them up?

No problem at all. Just a friendly discussion. When you claim that MS are the godfathers (and you did originally) of software, that brings all software houses into the discussion as they are very much linked. I just stated my opinion that Apple are by far the most advanced software/hardware house and I would class them and Unix as the godfathers.

If you don't want to discuss that's fine.
