jige! jige! jige! what a performance!

c'mon cara, isn't detroit the least penalized team? :p

the only blame there is to be placed is on the team of detroit. detroit should have manhandled the ducks, but they didn't. they gave the ducks confidence, and now they are in trouble. the refs aren't gonna save them now.

But isnt the rule for Too Many Men that the play is still live til the offending team touches the puck?

Yes, but given they said the call was on Detroit, he couldn't gain the line with it since they should have whistled it right when he touched it, they waited clearly 5-10 seconds til the shot was off obviously in the net.

I smell a protest being filed with the NHL on this one. (Fat lot of good it will do except put a quesstion on the Ducks win(?))

Actually, Detroit is one of the most penalized teams out there, followed by the Avs and Stars.

As for Detroit not manhandling the Ducks, ya, they are going to bite it and humiliate all of their loyal fans around the world. I've already got my letter to Ken Holland as well as Mike and Marian Ilitch not only regarding a few of the losers we have on the team (Luc, your number's up) as well as the bumbling of the Coach situation with Looseus.

I'm an extremely unhappy Wings fan right now and I can't say I'm blaming Cujo like most people.

I can't count the times Lidstrom sat there and looked at the puck on a rebound, "Duh...what is that? Let me look at it! Or better yet, pass it to one of these other guys who isn't on my team."

Our D needs to move in and kick Giguere in the chest and injur him for the rest of the playoffs. Take the 5 minute Major for it and the kick out, let one of our rookies do it and then we can start cleaning up on the upstarts.

i can see your frustration, but the refs made a good call...and its not like they blew the whistle after the puck went in...it was clearly blown before the shot was taken...

You must be kidding, even the ESPN people said the shot went off then the whistle was blow. :p I mean, if these guys say that the damn thing was no doubt in the net and celebration had started before the whistle was blown.

No raised arm to say it was delayed, just a late whistle after the shot. :p

even if the shot had been off after the whistle was blown, it was still too late. if they'd blown it when they should have, he would have had enough time to react and NOT take the shot... but that's totally irrelevant considering that the shot was beforehand...

lets say they blew the whistle halfway through the shot...thats enough time for Giguere to react to the whistle and maybe let up on the save just enough for it to get by...it doesnt take much...the shot could very well have gone in either way but we will never know...now if they are truly a team worthy of repeating they should be able to put that behind them and go out there and win it or send it into OT...i really dont think the ducks are as good as the scores have suggested...

After Cujo's acrobatics display, my jearsey is off and I've moved back into the computer room to just listen the the remainder on the old 9 inch TV.

I'll say it for you Cat.

Detroit's Season is OVER.

I hope they are very happy, they are going to be swept by a team not only in California but also owned by the ******* DISNEY Corporation. I mean, great way for some of our guys to retire and get their ******* mouse ears on for the rest of the ******* playoffs.

It's an embarassing day for Red Wings fans everywhere.

why what happened? sorry i didnt keep track of the detroit games. care to explain?

well the better team won...get rid of old men like chelios and hull and start picking up some UP AND COMING talent, not some UP AND DIEING fellas.

Guess you just cant ALWAYS buy the stanley cup... ohhh well! ;)

I guess you can't ALWAYS buy a clue either.

If you took the time to remove a certain object from a certain crevice on your body you might just realize that Detroit sports a few of the up and coming stars of the NHL in addition to their Hall of Fame (Oh, I guess in your "Mind" that means Old Men) cast.

HENRIK ZETTERBERG - 10/9/1980

PAVEL DATSYUK - 7/20/1978

BOYD DEVEREAUX - 4/16/1978

JIRI FISCHER - 7/31/1980

JESSE WALLIN - 3/10/1978

Get some facts next time or perhaps troll someplace else...

Just because they have 5 youngins DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE UP AND COMING STARS.

And simply because your beloved canadian team lost...whoops...I mean 'american' owned team sporting a line-up full of canadians (which MOST -[ but not necissarily YOU ]- detroit fans overlook...thinking that they are in hockey gods when the cup in fact remains in canadian hands)

And just because Detroit bought up all the soon to be hall of famers/old men that doesn't mean that they can win...as proven by tonights loss.

Yzerman is the best player ever to don a wings jersey and you know it!!!!! BOO YA!

and about your pet troll, pls refrain from letting him out from under his bridge.

My comment on Detroit was not only accurate and true, but in good taste and not to put anyone down...although a skate to chelios's or hulls arm would not upset me, but will be proven true again when they loose to a team of UP AND COMING STARS.

guess you can't ALWAYS bully people in forums.

k listen unique, your comment on Detroit was not only accurate and true, but in good taste and not to put anyone down in YOUR OPINION. cara obviously doesn't feel that way and that's HER OPINION. so why don't you quit saying your opinion is what's right

You truly have amused me.

Your buying the cup comment is down right laughable.

Took a look at the New York Rangers lately? They try to buy the cup every year yet continue to not even make the play-offs... Go figure huh? Yet you can take a team like Detroit where the players takLESSb> (GASP!) money to come and play for (Brett Hull / Cujo / Hasek are three examples) and say they attempt to buy the cup.

Now, about the rookies. Henrik deserves rookie of the year, even the anti-Detroit press has said that. Pavel is still one of the hottest young players around, until the playoffs he was part of the hottest line in hockey (as stated tonight on ESPN), infact on review that line included Zetterberg as well.

Fischer is a very well noticed D-Man who has been given extremely good reviews for his age by the media and some members of the NHLPA have gone so far to say he could be the next Chris Chelios in a few years.

The fact we have a lot of Canadians on the team is pointless, you could say that about any team in the league. Hell, 10 years ago you could have said we had a lot of Russians.

Yzerman is a Hockey Legend and a Born Leader... Your point?

As for the Ducks, they are a one shot wonder. Remember the Hurricanes?:: LOL ::i> How quickly you forget, they were the hottest team in the NHL in the playoffs yet Detroit came along and slapped them right back to the place they belonged, the bottom. If Detroit doesn't do it to the Ducks, Dallas or Colorado will.

As for bulling people around, oh, why should I? It's so much more fun to get them to admit they are a clueless wannabe;);):: gives the little troll a cookie just for making her laugh and, at it's own advice, sends it back under the bridge ::i>

:woot:t:

um.....it is a known fact that detroit has tried to buy the cup...worked for them last year...pity it wont happen again this year...they have great players...but I dont like the way admin has gotten them, and simply invested in a cup.

And about getting rid of the old doods, its not my team...let them stay...more wins for anaheim. ;)

Naw but seriously, Leafs own you all. :D

No hard feelings on this side of the internet.

    • Ladybird Browser is no longer accepting outside contributions thanks to AI by David Uzondu The Ladybird Browser Project has announced it will no longer accept public pull requests and will limit changes to those made by its maintainers as it works towards its first alpha release. According to Ladybird's creator Andreas Kling, this is "not a change we make lightly," but the rapid shift in AI capabilities forced their hand. Previously, a massive PR implied that the person behind it put a lot of care into the code and is ready to "answer for the consequences." Now with AI, anyone can generate a PR without even understanding the bug fix or feature they want merged. The blog post goes on to say that the team is closing all open public pull requests immediately, and that maintainers will not treat external forks as a review queue for upstream Ladybird. Instead, the team wants outside contributors to focus on reporting bugs and running tests. Kling started Ladybird back in 2019 as LibHTML, a simple HTML viewer for his hobby operating system, SerenityOS, but by September 2022, it had turned into a full-fledged browser project. What sets Ladybird apart from the likes of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, or Mozilla Firefox is its totally independent engine, which does not rely on pre-existing codebases. The project maintains a strict policy against default search engine deals or user data monetization, keeping development funded entirely by donations and sponsorships. Generative AI is forcing open source project maintainers to rethink how they handle public code contributions (and the whole open-source thing in general). One month ago, a leak about the National Health Service (NHS) suggested the organization was planning to take all of its public repositories private ahead of a May 11 deadline, thanks to Mythos (an AI model that Anthropic believes is too dangerous to be released to the public) and its ability to find and write exploits for zero-day vulnerabilities. Thankfully, the Government Digital Service (GDS) issued a counter-report titled "AI, open code and vulnerability risk in the public sector" that stopped the shutdown by pointing out that hiding code does not improve security.

    • I like the show more options. The only problem with it is that it's not always in a consistent spot in the menu. If the copy/paste/cut, happens to show on top, then more option is the last in the menu. But if copy/paste/cut happens to show on the bottom, then more options is before the copy/paste/cut. But I do like the more options because it hides the stuff that I rarely use. But I would like to choose what it is or isn't hiding. That would make it better.
