i have the X64 version too, but i dont want to upload and share it again.

becoz most people dont like i share it to you guys..

I was one the people who doubted you the other day. I'm sorry. I must admit you were right. You were trying to give Beta 1 to people on several forums and no one would believe it mostly.

You obviously have access to the private beta stuff. X64 leak would vindicate you....just a thought.

It is simply because probably has not installed his graphics drivers or might be running something in the background that disables aero. But yes, no aero looks horrible yet still better than how it was in vista.

VirtualBox (the vm software he is using) simply doesn't support 3d graphics (yet), therefor, Aero will not run. It might run in software like Parallels for Mac and VMware Fusion/Workstation since they support some parts of 3d (as in: not a fully implemented DirectX). Just don't count on vm software being able to run something like Aero. If you want to test that use a real computer.

Guess who's "famous" now... ;)

"Users first reported the newest Windows 7 leak on Neowin.net's forums Friday, with the opening message and screenshots coming from someone identified as "+fivestarVIP," who said he was from Beijing. "

I do wonder how they've managed to make Windows so much speedier.

Perhaps doing away with quick launch and toolbars has made the taskbar resources lower and they've perhaps disabled more services by default?

Who knows.

Probably, but iirc the Vista betas were faster than XP for the same reason, and look how that turned out. What we're seeing is very promising but we shouldn't pass judgement on how good Windows 7 is going to be in comparison until it hits RTM.

    • It won't perform hugely better than the 3080 unless you're VRAM limited in games. Have you tried putting new thermal pads on them 3080 and giving it a good clean to see if you can regain your temps and overclock?
    • Windows 95 offered the ability to add and edit the right click menus, on a per file type basis. This feature seems to be missing in the new file explorer. Are they bringing it back as a "new" feature?
    • It's nearly time to replace my aging Founders Edition 3080, it doesn't OC as nicely as it used to and it's running around 10c warmer than it did when I first bought it.  I don't have budget for much more than what I spent on the 3080 and locally, that means the best GPU I can manage is a 9070XT. On this basis I have a few questions: 1. At present I don't use ray tracing, if this was to change, would this GPU be an issue? 2. How does it compare on a performance basis? 3. Are the drivers worse or better than those for nVidia? 4. Linux support, is it there? 5. Anything else I should be aware of if I were to make this change? 6. Is it a good idea or shall I try and keep the 3080 a little longer.
    • What OS is that? It looks a bit like Mac OS but the command line suggests it isn't, either way I like it!
