Ha! I have those speakers, and I adore them. I had that keyboard, too, till my daughter spilled a can of root beer on it. I've wanted an eeePC for a while now so I could try to Hackintosh it, but I've decided to wait till the Ion comes out this summer instead.

The speakers are pretty cool, for a 2:1 setup. I'm trying to remember how long I've had 'em, it's gotta be at least 5 years, possibly even 6, and they're perfect for what I want. If / When I upgrade to 5:1 I'm definitely gonna go for Creative again, as well as recycling the current 2:1 setup (I'll probably hook the laptop upto 'em). The keyboard I've only had for a few months, but so far I'm loving it - nice and comfortable to type on. Definitely recommend it to anyone

Tamilboy86 - That's what my setup wants to look like, when it grows up :)

Very nice Tamilboy86 (Y)
Yeah, it looks amazing (Y) good job.
Nice setup as always, Boz!

Nice one, too, Tamilboy :D

thx :)

hehe... you only need a bigger table, then you have it :D

I spent the whole weekend working around the house. Started yesterday in the yard, cut the grass and spread some seed; today was the inside day.

Long story short, I decided to clean up the home office....

As we start on down the line, we begin with my MacBook Pro, it is the early 2007 2.16 GHz model, I bumped it to 2GB of RAM. I haven't rebooted it since the last major OS revision, just keep putting it to sleep.

The Mini is the new 2009 model, I picked it up the day they dropped. I am getting by fine with the stock 1GB of RAM, but the 4GB upgrade is right around the corner. I must say, it was nice buying this on cash and not using AMEX.

Here is the 40" LCD that my mini runs on, I also picked up the Bluetooth keyboard with the Mini.

On the opposite wall is my computer for remoting into work

Work computer is on the right, I also have another Windows box that I remote into from time to time. There are a few things that I just haven't been able to migrate over to the Mac (yet).

Down in the garage, I set up a (L-R) FreeNAS server, Windows 2003 Enterprise Server and Mac OSX Server. I am not doing too much with them yet, but it's more than collecting dust in the closet. They are connected to the rest of the network via the Airport Express on the power strip.

+Ruiz u should try ikea for a new desk. maybe a white one? that would be sweet.

As long as it fits the same form and functionality of my current one.

Moved to new house now..

I totally curious as to where you got your stunning white desk.

Man... What do you do for a living, pdmcmahon?

That looks cool..

I work for the greatest insurance company on the planet. I just nerd on the side.

What resolution is the TV running at?

1920x1080, I run the Mini DVI to DVI connector out of the Mac Mini, then use a DVI to HDMI cable. Because it isn't a pure connection, I lose the video every few hours. All I have to do is turn the TV off and on to get it back. I haven't been able to find a single cable that will go from Mini Display Port/Mini DVI to HDMI (or even component) yet.

That's what sucks about it. All these cool skins are coming out but the old Xbox doesn't have enough juice to run them smoothly (but it will run them).

I'm thinking of getting an Apple TV and putting XBMC on there along with Boxee (Y)

I would say is about time to cut off the xbox, it is hardware limited 8? plus year old platform. It is just holding back the development.

Looks very nice!

I'd be sad to see the Xbox development end (mine is still the main multimedia device in my living room), but I do agree that it's about that time.

    • It would be surprising if even 3 year old Apple Watches (and not SE models at that) cannot run watchOS 27. Granted, it doesn't mean it would work as well. We'll see.
    • Apple launches new website for parents and a revamped Screen Time experience by Aditya Tiwari At WWDC 2026, Apple announced new parental control features for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 to keep kids' device usage in check and keep them safe online. As a parent, you'll get access to a simpler setup experience, Ask to Browse, Time Allowances, and a redesigned Screen Time. You'll be able to pick exactly which apps your child can access on their device, choosing from just a few essential apps, a curated set, or the apps you feel are appropriate. There will be an option to gradually add more apps. Ask to Browse is a new feature that requires kids to request permission before visiting a new website in Safari on iPhone, iPad, or Mac. You can also turn on a setting that requires your kid to ask for approval before connecting with an unknown contact via Messages, FaceTime, or the Phone app. You can manage your child's screen time more effectively with Time Allowances that work across categories, including Games, Entertainment, and Social Media. You can set time limits based on your kid's age and get suggestions informed by expert research. Speaking of expert guidance, Apple added that it's working with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) to adapt its Family Media Plan to create a guide parents can refer to when using Apple products. Moreover, the company has also set up a new dedicated website, where you can find tools, resources, and answers to common questions around parental controls and child safety. Apple also allows parents to set daily schedules to manage screen time, configuring access to different apps at different times of the day and across the week. Overall, the Screen Time section has been revamped and provides a bird's-eye view of your kid's average device usage and most-used apps. "For example, to help protect important family moments, parents can quickly limit access during meals, outdoor play, and other times that deserve full attention. If kids need a little extra time to finish something in an app, parents can also easily extend access," Apple said. Apart from these, Communication Safety has been updated to block gore or violent content when detected in shared images or videos. The feature already blurs nudity in Messages and FaceTime calls, and is enabled by default for users under 18.
    • They already threw the Ultra 1st gen under the bus? It really feels like someone screwed up, and that advanced AI features will only be available on the list above but someone screwed up and said that Watch OS 27 in general will only be available for those models. I think they will pull it back. I did see someone also put a snap shot of their series 9 watch being offered the watch os 27 beta. As the backlash online is already in full swing.
    • Right, Google... because that's who this is going to. Google, the company who's entire business model is geared around ad revenue and your personal data.
    • That is the natural course for regulations. First to protect the consumer. Then to protect the business/industry from upstart competition. There are countless examples across history.
