Explorer Animation,Transition Effects while changing wallpaper manually. .... Post some Videos pls :p People are stating that installation speed is fast... Define "FAST" please.About installation speed which took me 20mins in build 7000. I am curious as to know how much further have they reduced/optimized it?

Anyone knw wat version they giving away at

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/dd353205.aspx

wud the same Serial key work on the 7022 version?

MS is giving us 7000. The key worked on 7022

EDIT: Sorry. Didn't see that we are on 3rd page now.

I have found two minor bugs that I didn't have with the 7000 build.

1. If I add a couple of folders in the library and open the library when it's minimized, sometimes the second folder row have a very high selection box. I can take a screenshot of it later though. Hard to describe.

2. When showing hidden files and folders the hidden folders are now white/ have no icon. Screenshot as soon as I arrive back home.

yup seen that too but it eventually stopped, dunno what was up with it but after few hrs it was normal like before. Maybe the stability history thing needed to build up first, usually takes a few hrs to collect enough data.

too bad they do not release major updates as updates that you can just download and upgrade your beta to the newest version. That way the majority of people out there are using the best newest version instead of the older outdated version sending in feedback on issues that no longer exist.

i dont think it is that simple ,just an update ...

it could introduce more issues ,the same thing as doing upgrade from old beta to the new one

Nothing major has changed.

I like the new explorer to sidepanel explorer animation.

More icons is good. Less blue on the taskbar now to.

Other than that I'm alittle underwhelemed. I'm hoping Microsoft pull out a suprise theme or something for launch.

if you were a full time and PAID Microsoft Beta tester then yeah you'd get new versions as soon as they come out or almost all of them. There's no way you can find all the lil issues or generate ALL new ideas for one build everyday, sometimes it takes a lil while before something just hits you. If MS took it in another direction before you had a chance to come up with that great idea, well they wouldn't get that request.

Come on people...we need more screens here. The Downloads link in start menu...is that a new default Library?

Vids or it didn't happen. :p

Thanks X-bite

Also if you could check open a window like say IE Maximized then open WMP 12 and from the task bar see if it open on top of the IE window?

There is a bug in build 7000 where WMP 12 seem to almost always open behind other windpws.

It opens up in front for me on 7000... I'm guessing it's a machine specific thing.

1. I now have a picture of this

2. This problem seems to have fixed itself. Might be a graphics driver issue.

    • What they really need to do is automatically spell "loses" and "lose" correctly since nobody seems to know how to anymore. Then they blame spellcheck/autocomplete and don't realize autocomplete is just filling in the word for them automatically so it was misspelled in the first place.
    • If someone chooses to continue using SB and therefore goes through the manual intervention in the thread, afterwards the BSOD problem is gone. Whether they then re-enable the task doesn't matter, they're done, though on such machines it might pay to keep it disabled in case the next update (if there is a next) causes the same problem. OTOH, if someone disables SB in the BIOS, the problem is also gone. Incidentally, I noticed that this task exists even on machines that don't support SB. It's just installed across the board...and runs. Doing what on such machines is a little hazy.
