Question, did they fix that bug with Windows Live Messager being in the Superbar?
That's not really a bug. More a software problem with WLM. You can fix this by running WLM with compatibility mode set to Vista.

Seriously in this case, it's not a bug - it's a feature!

Its a **** feature. Everything else has its own notification icon yet this programme wants its own taskbar space?

Also, compatibility mode doesn't work in 7022 for me, as I said. It just crashes. So its run it like this, or don't run it at all.

(Gotta love the screen name! ;) )

Paint looks changed. I did not check it out much in build 7000. I did not know they had a crop option and bunch of others when you select and right click. That's nice.

A bit nitpicky, but they still haven't fixed the Scenic menu shadows yet. :/

Notification Area was/is not supposed to be used for showing running apps. That's the whole point of its new functionality in W7. As far as the ****tyness of it is concerned...read my response to x-byte below.

dhan: You could call it that, but it isn't very useful as it is now. I guess there will be an update to WLM which "fixes" this.

Found another update.

Remote Desktop have now been updated to have a blue bar on top in fullscreen mode.

I remember reading that they specifically added W7 support in WLM to behave like that (with jump lists etc). :/ With enough people complaining they might go back or put it as an option. I don't mind either way. In fact on W7 I wish skype and GTalk behaved like this..

I have blue bar in Remote desktop in 7000.

It seems the problem of being unable to close a programme remains. I just installed iTunes and it worked for a while. But I forgot to turn off "genius". The programme froze. But no matter how many times I end the process or task iTunes still remains running. I thought if I clicked end process it would, end of.

Hmmm....they fixed the "jumping orb" but now they have a "cutted orb". You can see if you press the orb in the down side the orb is sliced. (iguess they are using the taskbar on the top of the desktop  ).

Sorry, posting from my iphone. One thing i have noticed after the install is that Windows 7 doesnt use gmt time zones anymore and that it has swiched to UTC.

UTC has essentially superceded GMT as the official term. They're still the same thing.

The start orb was fine on Vista but on Windows 7 superbar, its FUGLY as hell and doesn't go with new look

Keep in mind that we don't know which final user interface refinements Windows 7 will receive between now and RC/RTM.

well it all gets kinda complicated there. TECHNICALLY they aren't the same thing in the sense that they're different methods of time keeping. however, in the sense of timezones they are the same. you can use them completely interchangeably even though GMT is just a local name for UTC.

Yea...that's right!

I see they forgot to remove the "move" option for the gadgets (in this beta ver.) it seems is not working so...theymust remove it as wecan move the gadgets free.

Well I was just trying to give the simple answer, but nooo ... you had to go and reveal it's more complex than that :p

    • Sorry to be that guy but, Given Trump won again even after a failed first term it would appear attacking the other side is how to gain Government in America. Voters when it came down to it didn't give a s**t about those Democratic achievements and voted for Trump over an intelligent, qualified mixed race woman. We need to face up to this uncomfortable reality. There are more Americacan voters who support racism and christian bigotry along with defending and supporting pedophilia, adjudicated rapists, multiple time convicted felons etc than those who don't. Btw, that is how the world sees America now. Not that Trump voters care as they attempt to cocoon themselves in a white supremacy bubble.
    • That's not clickbait. Clickbait is headlines like, "You'll never guess what this person looks like now" for example. For goodness sake, take a look around the internet if you think this is clickbait. How do sites survive if people don't click through to articles? How many people in all honesty would have clicked this if it had your suggested headline? You and those upvoting your post won't be happy until the web is a couple of hundred websites all behind a paywall.
