If it was staged I doubt he would have said those words to her...

Well, ya, either way he basically put her on the spot back in her apartment which was due. Suppose we'll have a raging Castle in the first ep or a few eps of s4.

The only problem I have is that shows are basically telegraphing things with the camera shots.

It becomes pretty clear the captain is involved when they start showing his reaction to events more than they ever do in other eps.

OK, so Kate's NOT dead. Revived by EMS guys....taken to hospital...wakes up two dayslater....Castle by her side...and remembers NOTHING after she got shot!! bahahaha. So they have to get to the "I love you" ALL OVER AGAIN. This is too predictable and too funny

I just hope it doesn't turn into Bones. :(

Nah, no way. Bones is how it is cuz of the characters, you can't compare the two females personality wise. And besides Castle put her on the spot in this ep, and with what he said at the end. I think next seasonw ill give people what they want finally.

My only problem/question is that once/when/if the two get together, then what? Does it just degrade down to another case of the week type deal with nothing else?

I have a feeling that if it happens, it won't happen until the season 4 finale.

We've just learnt that Castle Producers are currently looking for a Female Captain for Season 4 as a series regular. She will be in her early 40's and will be a real "hard-ass" but we'll see a flirtatious side to her.
